Less than 300 hp can be easily managed with FWD, more than that becomes harder to control and AWD comes into place. I knew the Accord would win, hands down. The Subaru Engine is strong, but the CVT kills the performance and the AWD loses power to the wheels in performance testing. However, this race is pointless because no Legacy owner would buy one to race, they are mature, family cars, soft, comfy, roomy, smooth, stable, built for safety. The Accord still has that racy Honda vibe, it's more childish and surprinsingly fast for it's looks, it depends on what you want.

Except for the WRX and WRX STI Subaru have been de-sportifying their Cars. They stopped making Turbo charged Legacies and then started back because of public outcry but made them less performance than the GT/GT Spec b models and the GT models from the 5th generation. Then they stopped making Turbo Forresters. So there is a general theme of making their cars less performance oriented. While other companies have been increasing their power output Subaru has maintained the power on the STI @ 305 HP for 10 years.

That CVT is the biggest offender. Having a higher weight doesn't help either but the CVT just doesn't seem to get the power down as well as a traditional transmission. If they'd lose the fake shifting it would help to. Why even bother to further cripple the CVT with fake shifts?

Either you guys got some broke ass Legacy for this or you're doing something terribly wrong. I don't own a 2.4 Turbo but instead I have the NA 3.6r from 2015 and it has never seen the tail lights of any honda short of the Type R.
There isn't a huge deviation in specs between the 2015 NA 3.6r and 2.4 Turbo XT (North America model) outside of a couple hundred lbs difference, so I am really curious what you're doing different here, unless Canada gets a vastly watered down model.

Even if you say this accord and legacy in Japan, it probably won't sell. In order for this Accord and Legacy to sell in Japan, the Japanese economy must become richer.

Honda/Acura needs to start letting their hair down. They add a few more goodies to the next accord wit this same setup and it will b amazing.
