Earlier this year, I sold my '16 TLX V6 Advance and purchased a '20 Honda Accord Touring 2.0T. I loved my TLX and love my Accord too. To me, even though the Accord may be faster, it doesn't necessarily feel faster. The growl and grunt of the V6 certainly had a more powerful feel to it. While I am thoroughly enjoying my 2.0T Accord, I do miss some of the intangibles that the Acura brand offers along with the more premium feel. I want to get back into a TLX probably sometime in mid or late '22. However, I don't think the TLX 2.0T will satisfy me. I would definitely go with the Type S at this point. I know it won't be the fastest in its segment but it will be plenty to please me. The only thing that might throw a wrench in my plans is seeing what Honda is going to do with the '23 redesign of the Accord. If they juice up the power and performance on the Accord, say to match or exceed some of the latest offerings by Kia & Hyundai, it might be enough to persuade me to stay with the Honda nameplate. Otherwise, there will be a '22 Type S in my garage sometime next year.

It's nice looking but doesn't compare with the TLX in that category. The fuel tank is too small for the size of the car and the audio system is average at best. The TLX has an awesome sound system on the mid trims and up. But the driving experience of the Accord is very sweet. I have no regrets getting mine.
