    Might trade my 2017 Impreza Sport sedan for one of these

    I traded my STi for one of these, and i have not regretted it.
    Also, you STILL HAVE NOT PUT IT IN SPORT #. OR, used the paddles!! Game changer. You've only tested it in Intelligent drive. Im astonished that no one has done this video showing the true potential of this car. It is a true GT, not the feminine "SPORT" name.
    Sport Sharp is available in ONLY THIS LEGACY, and it makes all the difference. The car is immediately "tuned" to perform along with everything else that it has, including the sport- tuned suspension.

    I have a 2021 Legacy Touring XT with 13.4K miles on it. I have really only two gripes about. One is the inconsistent power delivery. It randomly has rough fake shifts from the CVT and sometimes surges back and forth when accelerating. It just doesn't know quite what to do sometimes. Many other reviews have complained about that since the 2.4 turbo + CVT was introduced. The other is the interior rattles. I've had it in to the dealer a half dozen times with various dash rattles and a sunroof rattle. They've taken care of most of them but the intermittent one in the sunroof I'm afraid I'm going to have to live with it. Other than that, the seats are so comfortable (love the pull out thigh support), the ride is quiet and smooth and the Harman Kardon sound system is very nice.

      I've asked the service manager if there was any software update that might help drivability, but he said no.

    I have a 2022 Limited XT with the Turbo motor. I've been getting consistently around 29-30 mpg with my mix of interstate highway and secondary roads. The extra power is great and makes the vehicle much smoother and refined to drive and I only lost 3-4 mpg from my 2018 Legacy with the 2.5 175hp motor. The trade off is worth it to me anyway.

    Great review. A dealership near me has a certified pre-owned 2023 Sport for sale that was used as a loaner car. It had 3700 miles on it. I was able to do a solo test drive so I was able to do whatever I wanted with with it. What a fun car to drive! Very composed on the road and acceleration from the turbo was excellent! I am very tempted to purchase this vehicle even though I have a 2023 Edge ST on order as well. However at 20K more than the Legacy I am debating if it is worth waiting for or should I just go for the Legacy Sport!

    • @703Speed
      @703Speed  Год назад

      Thank you! Almost hard to justify the extra 20k. I will say though the st products are usually really good. But if u want to save 20k and still have a comfortable and quick daily - the legacy sport is a great option

      @@sachemrock thanks. Looking at getting a Subaru Outback Touring XT or a Hyundai Tucson Limited now. Like both however its been a challenge to find one that is available. Hyundai a bit cheaper at $39k, Subaru around 43k. Both significantly cheaper than the Ford Edge!

      @@703SpeedI appreciate you taking this constructively, as it was meant. I was certainly nit picking though because I really do like your videos. You review many vehicles that others don't bother to. Anyway, my preference is to have a good amount of time (minutes not seconds, haha) to hear the motor and transmission throughout the POV ride while accelerating and cruising at highway speeds.

    Nice sleeper! I am def interested in the future because of the understated looks, yet it is very refined for the number of years the Legacy model has been around. Looks decent enough, too, especially in the front. More space than a WRX in its current form. great ride in the winter, too. When I lived in Golden Colorado at 10,000 ft, I came home from a trip and used my girlfriend's 96 Legacy to plow 3 ft of snow and make a path for our cars! Just kept ramming it through and...who needs a plow???
