    Very good assessment of the vehicle's good and bad points. I own a 2022 Legacy Touring XT, which is very similar. The one thing I would add is that the car is slow off the line until the turbo kicks in. Then, it feels powerful. The leather is fantastic! Thanks for the informative and insightful review.

    Great review. This car is tops on my list to be my next vehicle. I love the color combination and that turbo engine is awesome. I do not understand why Canada gets the GT version but the US does not. Maybe for 2024?? Fingers crossed.

    • @rallysauruswrex
      @rallysauruswrex Год назад +1

      The US does get the "GT" version. It's called the XT, which is the same car with same motor

    • @FordEnthusiast413
      @FordEnthusiast413 Год назад +1

      @@rallysauruswrex Appreciate your comment. I should have been more specific. Canada’s Legacy GT model from what I saw from the video is a combo model of the Legacy Sport and Legacy XT Touring. I wish we had the Legacy GT model here in the US as I like the amenities of the XT Touring but wish it had the SI drive that the Sport has.

      By now, you may know the 2024 GT is called the Sport. Same car as the GT in Canada. I hate the Sport name. I'd much prefer GT.

  • @andrewSUN17
    @andrewSUN17 7 месяцев назад +1

    Love it...thought the sport is prob a better deal overall. It is very well developed, in the case of the engine and AWD and w the turbo and vanilla style is a bit of a sleeper, which is also cool. The refinement of the Legacy by now is awesome! I am def looking into it in the future.

    We have a 2022 Legacy Limited XT with 14k miles and overall like it very much. It's comfortable (excellent seats and ergonomics), drives beautifully and has great acceleration - the turbo engine/cvt combo are better than I expected in every situation. (My other car is a 2019 Mustang GT Convertible.) I was mainly nervous about the big screen because my wife is not techy but she's had no trouble with it at all. Maybe we've been lucky but we've never experienced the lagging or glitches, it's just not nearly as convenient as buttons and switches, that's for sure. The rear view camera is terrible. We dont like that the remote start is restricted to a phone app. Almost everyone hates the stupid and intrusive auto-stop/start function so I won't even get into that!!

    I own a 2022 Legacy Touring XT. Would not recommend it to anyone asking. My engine was leaking oil at less than 800 miles. 11.6" infotainment screen is the worst of the worst. No matter how many firmware Subaru releases, it gets slower and continue to glitch. Terrible rattle on the eye sight, above the infotainment screen on the dash, moon roof and passenger side door and seat belt. Driver Monitoring Systems is as bad as the Auto Stop Start. City MPG is barely 16MPG. I can't wait to dump mine after its paid off. I am not bashing Subaru, we own 4 total in our household and still drive all of them.

      @M I cannot agree more. We currently have a 2016 Outback, 2018 Crosstrek, 2019 Outback and my 2022 Legacy. Mine is the newest with the most issues.

      @@thegrmcrckr488 not sure if you are directing this to my personal experience with my 2022 Legacy but not that Subaru cares or reads my experience so no solution on their part. For me, based on my experience with my Legacy now plus reading on forums. I don't recommend them to anyone. If you have a good experience with your Legacy, then good for you. I just want people to be aware, if you plan to buy one and keep it past the factory warranty, I suggest getting extended warranty. Mine was early on with my oil leak and was covered by the factory warranty. Hopefully that is in the past for me. As far as the infotainment issues, I have brought it up to my service advisor and he made a note and I also contacted SOA about it. As peace of mind. I have 10y/100k gold warranty on my Legacy rn so if anything goes bad, its covered.

      @@thegrmcrckr488 Had the Touring offered ventilated seats, I would have went with the Forester. That’s still something I am going to consider as a trade up now since the 2024 Crosstrek is coming with these 11.6” screen that’s problematic. So I am hoping Subaru offers a trade up soon or hope the 2024 Forester doesn’t have this 11.6” and get that when my Legacy is paid off.

    Love this, especially with the java brown interior, very rich looking. The exterior is so boring it’s cool. The blue appeals to me too but have to see it in person as the shade really varies depending on the picture/video. Would go Gray over Java as a backup. Would definitely take this over an Accord or Camry. You see those on the road all the time, too common. This is super rare and a total sleeper with this engine. The Accord doesn’t have AWD and they dropped SiriusXM, immediate deal breaker for me. The only Camry I’d consider is the XLE since I have to have memory seats. The interior on the XLE looks cheesy to me with all that weird quilting on the dash and door panels. My 2 cents.

    I drove one and really liked it. My only real complaints were the infotainment and the blindspot created by the Subaru eyesight system/rearview mirror.
    The screen is huge but the software seems a bit outdated. Also, because the screen is vertical, there is a ton of wasted space when looking at the backup camera because of the aspect ratio.
    The blindspot might be exclusive to me personally because im 6'5", but the rearview mirror and eyesight system completely block my view when looking to the right out of the winshield. For example, when looking for traffic coming from the right at an intersection.

      I'm only 5-9 and my wife is 5-1 so we don't have any issues with it and don't even notice anymore but I would imagine someone your height definitely would! (It's also ugly.) P.S. my other car is a Mustang convertible and even at my short height I have to crouch to look under the rearview mirror to see the right corner!

    Not interested because the dials and knobs have been eliminated and those functions have been incorporated to the unintuitive slow moving screens. Do we really need a screen to remind us of birthdays and anniversary's? Studies in Sweden have shown that the reaction time for screens is slower than physical controls.

    Too corny for young guys, too confusing for older men. Likely owned by a 50-60 year old family man. Quirky design and 38k plus tax isn’t appealing. Looks like a turn off to me. My girlfriend got a brand new Impreza hatchback last year for half the price, it’s a lot of fun and a far better value if you don’t have a family. Keep in mind that a lot of people drive a car with only themselves in it or the occasional friend or passenger. Napa leather is ok but overrated. And I saw all my CDs on eBay years ago, this must be for old people.

    • @johntragis2040

      Guilty as charged. But it's a nice car for a 50 year old family man. I'd get equal grief if I got the WRX sitting right next to it as some old guy trying to hard to be 20. I did upgrade the wheels to BBS and wish it had SI mode. Other than that it's a nice Subaru. Also I figured it out. The display is all in digital vs a mix of analog so it make sense to me
