I have the 2023 350 version. This is such a quiet car. I know the german brands may be more exciting, but I'm not racing on my commutes or while running errands. You want to have a smooth ride with a great sound system, and also overall reliability is unmatched.
Actually the one you were driving is the "Ultra luxury" package. I agree with you, when I'm buying a Lexus I don't care how fast it goes, only how smooth and quiet it is.
This Lexus ES actually has a larger back seat space than the Lexus LX. It’s huge. Only downside is no rear split folding seats, no option at all for rear heated seats (really not sure why), and the hybrid is a little underpowered at 215hp and a 8 second plus 0-60. Yes, I know it’s not a sports car but it’s still a very expensive luxury vehicle and the next gen 2026 ES should have around 240hp judging on the new Toyota Camry gen5 hybrid system or the Toyota Crown.
I always love the Lexus vehicles also thought of getting a Lexus but with the price thought it would have never been able to until we just got our very first Lexus LS460 and we love our Lexus
I own a 2024 350 UL and also test drove a 2024 300h. Looking back at it for the type of driving I do, I would go for the 300h. Why? I mostly do in town driving with the Lexus even though I have a Bolt EV already that is ideal for in-town. The automatic transmission on the 350 between 1st and 3rd in both directions is kind of harsh relatively speaking if you're used to the smoothness of an EV. It's a well-known quirk of its transmission if you go on Lexus forums. The 8-speed is nice for highway driving in the sense that it's very quiet due to the gearing at those speeds. However, I only drive it on the highway maybe once a month. When I test drove the hybrid, at lower speeds it was pure bliss while on the electric motor just like driving my EV. Try both of them out and be honest with yourself as to what sort of driving you're going to be doing. I have no regrets but I think the 300h would have been the better fit for me. In general, I hate automatic transmissions. The 350's isn't a particularly smooth one and once you've tried electric, it's very noticeable.
@@notafanboy250 thank you so much. I mostly drive highway. My one way commute to work is 25 miles, 30 min. 15 min of that is spent in suburbs traffic where mostly its between 35-45mph.
@@notafanboy250 my priority is the quietness, smoothness and the overall comfort of the car. I want it to feel like a cocoon when Im driving where everything else is tuned out and I just get to listen to my podcasts, playlists or call my family from abroad
So this is the new 2025 model with new pricing. The prices keep increasing and what they want for this Lexus ES at 56,000 is alarming. And you get a whopping 215 hp
If you are talking about the two Frankenstein knobs, the left one is the stability control and the right one controls the drive modes: sport, normal, and eco.
Genesis is considerably more luxurious, without a doubt. But note that if you care about real leather and real wood, you have to climb to the top of the trim ladder in Genesis too, and you can't get wood (only a carbon fiber look) in top trims at all because they're "Sport." So if you're a leather freak, expect to drop about $20k more for a G80 that has it.
When the next-gen hybrids start rolling. Expect the next ES hybrid as well as other ones to be both hybrid and AWD. WAIT for the lift-face in 2026 most likelt
Ben is there a way you can travel to China a review their new cars. I saw a report of their new cars and they are very fancy and some only the equivalent of around $17,000 and up. A lot of unnecessary gadgets and all of them are electric.

Not much to show only one color, no control over it
I have the same car 2024 Lexus ES300h in cloudburst gray and Acorn interior with Ultra luxury trim. Its the best car I have owned.
Great video!
You should test the audio quality too.
Other than some new sheet metal, what is the difference between 2024 and 2025? That would be a useful review
Hello from Europe. Great car. I've it and and it's very comfy and quite.
When I was younger, I wanted a BMW. When I got to my late 20s, I just want a nice smooth Lexus and just be left alone.
Relatable. My first car was a cambered Mitsubishi eclipse which was mean and loud. Moving on to a Lexus soon.
