Hi again Shari. I am the owner of the CX50 Turbo and thinking of the trade for the CX50 hybrid on your other review. However, the NX350h was on my short list months before the CX50 hybrid was announced. Would it be worth the extra cost for the more luxurious NX350h in your opinion ? Really looking forward to your response.
Both are great vehicles. The biggest benefit of the NX350h is that it is more comfortable and quieter than the CX-50. If you want that quieter, softer ride and nicer interior then I'd say the Lexus is worth it.
@@carhelpcorner Thanks again for the thoughtful and quick response Shari......... it's really appreciated. I am so torn between the NX350h and the Mazda CX50 hybrid it literally keeps me awake at night. Different animals having their own strengths. The Lexus for its luxurious quieter and smooth ride, but with run flats and no spare. The Mazda with basically the same hybrid powertrain and better handling characteristics, great styling, larger cargo and a real spare. Too many cars and too little time, lol.
Absolutely no reason to put premium in the hybrid . Same engine as a Rav 4 hybrid. Only difference between the two is the NX350H as a larger electric motor than the Rav 4..fuel has no effect on it.
would love the Crown Signia as a Plug-In hybrid... What gives? They sell 'em like that in Japan... Any news as to an impending plug in Signia for the USA?
I'm 6'2 and feel like the NX 350h provides plenty of space. You can fit 4 adults comfortably, which was a nice step up from our Mercedes GLA250. It has a ton of power. It's able to take off when you need it to, and is dead silent while doing it.
Bought NX350h Premium over the Signia, which didn't have a sunroof! Glass roof that didn't open! I also don't like the Run Flats, and will replace with Michelin reg tires when needed. No spare is a pain, but many vehicles no longer offer it. I only keep a car until the warranty ends, so 4 yr/50k I'll be getting a new Lexus hybrid.
Great review as usual. Love the discussion of all the alternative options and the pros and cons of them. Long term reliability, trouble free and gaz consumption are top in my list of criteria. At this point I only consider Hybrid, I do not do enough mileage to justify the extra cost of the plug-in.(+/- 5K per year) I did a test drive of the CRV-Hybrid and the RAV-4 Hybrid yesterday. I liked the CRV- Hybrid drive but felt it was missing a bit of nice touches in the interior looks, it is functional but quite boring right now . Did not like the RAV-4 at all, hate the acceleration feel, too noisy, to boxy, sad interior etc. The drive was so unpleasant that I did not pay much attention to the interior. I am surprised to see how popular the RAV-4 is. I will test drive a Lexus NX hybrid and RX Hybrid but because Toyota and Lexus have a lot in common, I fear I may not like driving it. So no matter how luxurious the Lexus feels, if the drive is not at least as smooth as with the CR-V, I would not be interested. I wish Honda CR-V Hybrid was just a little more enticing. The CRV-Hybrid vehicle certainly feels like a good party for a night out but not for a long term relationship. :) Thanks for your reviews they always provide great assistance in the decision making process.
I would take the regular hybrid. But l still prefer the UX250h. We dont need a big spacious car. But if we did, the car reviewed would get our first test drive. Good review.
That was an excellent review with chalkfull of information to consider. I happened to drive in this Lexus NX350h on the weerkend and was very impressed by how luxurious it was and felt. Thank you as always❤
I originally went in to buy a 2025 NX250 but went with the NX350h instead and I’m glad I did. I’ve always wanted a brand new Lexus but have never wanted to spend the money. But I went into Honda looking at a CRV hybrid EX-L and it was $40k. For that much…I just decided it’s time to spend the extra money and get what I really want. Sticker was $53k and they took $1500 off which was nice considering how fast these things seem to sell.
Hello there, I follow you and keep up the good work. I am in the hunt for a SUV, my first choice is Lexus NX hybrid and the second being the Toyota Rav4 hybrid. Is it worth to spend the extra money?
I'm really curious about what we mentioned, regarding being able to use Regular gasoline over Premium in the Lexus NX 350h. For any of you that own the NX350h, are you using Regular gas without any issues?
No Hybrid or plug in for me for me because if it isn’t a GAS 2025 RX 350 F Sport with 21 speaker Mark livingston, fully equiped with 21 inch tires then I am not interested in buying whenever they hit the showroom.
Most people I know who’ve experienced owning cars with run flats have moved on to other brands. I personally had to replace my BMW tires more than I could have imagined. Which begs the question . Why do brands such as Lexus continue to produce vehicles that most customers would prefer not having ? No spare as well. The RX is just too big for my wife and me.
Because the RFT improved a lot. I have the new Bridgestone RFT on my Lexus and it is quite difficult for normal people to recognize them (my wife cannot, I still can). The RFT is a good solution for not stopping if you get a puncture and seeing the pros and cons for it, I am going with the RFT.
Hmmmmm? Not entirely rational! Yes! Run Flats (tire within a tire) are TRASH...However a more Prudent approach is to simply carry a "Hole Plug filler (string covered is a tar substance)a pair of pliers and tire inflater. Much better than a spare ...as most of the time you Do_Not even have to jack the car up Nor wait for 2 hours for AAA Nor take the Tire to a repair shop (added cost) time & $...Soluton: you might at the New car dealer have them credit you back for the Dog Fun Flats and get Michelins w/ much better rolling resistance and much better mileage and Softer riding. So do yourself justice and Re-Consider the NX 450h+ "F" Sport model IMO!
Great video. I am looking at the crown signia too. Cost less and takes regular gas. I have been told the nx 350 is a quieter car and that is very important to me.
Too bad Lexus doesn't want to sell it to Canadians. Tried for a year to get an NX350H 3 price increase two model years. I eventually gave up and got my deposit back.
Overpriced is relative to the perceived value of money. The fact is the money has far less value than people believe, being printed like crazy, with nothing valuable to back it. Toyota/Lexus increased the prices just like most good producers did, because there is value in their cars (#1 in both reliability and low TCO - Total Cost of Ownership), making them a no-brainer choice (new or used) for smart people.
@@codincoman9019 A well-grounded and reasoned rebuttal. And, I do realize the hyperinflation of recent years has a large part to play in the price increases but, so does corporate greed/profit, which I think both play a part in the outsized increases in prices. Yes, total cost plays a major role (Price paid - resale value) and Toyota remains the leader in that category. Yet, the average consumer still has to be able to purchase the vehicle for that to even come into play and so many more consumers have been left way behind in the new car market. Their salaries have not come close to keeping up, especially for many retirees.
@@ctclardy Correct. The corporation's greed is there, but the price positioning for Toyota/Lexus (being #1 in reliability, low TCO, longevity, resale values etc.) is still better than that of their competitors. What we should never forget is that most of the price increases come from the governmental regulators dictating stupidly tighter rules, increasing the price of even a base car. Given all these, I still recommend the top, even second hand.
Honestly I’m the exact opposite. I have always wanted a brand new Lexus but I just have never been able to justify the price for one until this week. $40k for a CRV seems absolutely crazy to me - just insane to be honest and so at that price point…I got the Lexus yesterday.
Debating same thing. Cost me 5k more for Lexus. I want a quiet SUV. Have to drive a crown signia but have been told it's kind of noisy. Looking for something quieter than my 2022 RAV4 hybrid
I have a question about the adaptive driving? I have a 2024 luxury nx350h, almost 1 year old with 5300 miles. My question: when in adaptive driving at highway speed of 60 or more mph; when at a curve part of the highway the car didn’t slow down, should it slow down to a safe a speed to avoid accident.
My experience with NX 350 Sport 23 is a freaking worst. I eventually get reid of the car, from performance, gas mileage to overall experience with noise isolation, multiple multimedia problems. I'm not sure about Hybris, but stay away from gasoline models. Its funny enough, but the only good gas milage you cab get when you go 120km/h on the highway otherwise you will get from 450-500 km from the full tan. Price wise it's really close to RX, get RX instead and be happy
NX and RX are not exaggerated but more balanced premium cars.Excellent cars that doesn't brake the bank to own them also a second or third owner will be more happy with the mentenance costs than with a European cars.
I can get 4.6 litres/100... this thing runs on the smell of an oily rag..... The RFT's aren't a problem they're great I love them. Complaints about noise is being a bit pedantic.
I have a 2023, NX350h. The car is great, but I am scared to drive it far in Australia as there is no spare wheel. What a ludicrous idea to do away with a spare for such a lovely car. Everything else is fine but you always worry that there is no spare. I would not encourage anyone to buy this car because it lacks a spare wheel. Can you get this message across to the manufacturers, please.
I think this nx with run flat tires are only worry free driving when your area, not going away 80km or more, if you a flat tire, you can only run your car up to 80km maximum, you will be stucked on the side of the road waiting for mercy of other drivers to give you a lift and leave your car behind, especially if the temperature outside is -40 degrees celsius, it’s all because you don’t have a spare tire, and when it’s time to go back and tow your car, all parts of the car are almost gone, it’s cannibalized by others.
Since you asked. The bottom two rows on the grill are class leading hideous, further touching anything with front end would be $$$$$ Electric battery details very important as Li Ion is not green or recyclable. Suspect that it may be Ni Hydride. Exact measurement of the length of cargo space, seats up and down comparing it to Crown highly useful to include exact weights. Physical buttons for climate and Vol a huge plus worth emphasizing. Repair costs of Lexus vs Euros is speculation once an out of warranty repair is needed. Experience suggests that Lexus is not cheaper. Reliability is proven with Toyota and Lexus which is stellar, performance not so much, the new 8 speed auto needs emphasis and critique. BMW shines here. Seems Volvo has solved many of these issues if it proves reliable. Expensive though extremely well thought out offering.
Thank you. I'm first on the list for a Signia (will only get the saddle tan interior under bronze/blue/white) but have debating it vs the NX-h. NX seem a bit more refined but I don't like its face and the Lexus dealership here isn't the greatest. Can't wait to test-drive a Siggie and will decide then to either buy it or keep my beloved Mazda3 (6mt) sedan.
In USA doesn’t make sense to buy NX 450h, unless you want to race. Not sure how much you can save by using electric. My 4th gen Prius run for 5.5 c per mile vs Tesla 5 cents in real life with gas and electric prices. Plus to get that 5 cents per mile on Tesla I have to charge at home. Don’t be fooled by advertising your Tesla will get 110 miles per gallon equivalent. It will get at best 70! I’m not sure where’s that cheap electric. Here in PA gas $3.50, electricity 18 cents per kilowatt. So, read reviews and do your math.
“Best” in what way? If you want your (sub) compact SUV to be cramped, noisy (not just because of run flats), slooowww off the line and no fun to drive in exchange for perceived “reliability” then go for it. All cars are going to be expensive to maintain given they are computers on wheels. Be advised that the NX is more expensive to insure than a car costing 50% more. How do I know this? Because I dumped my NX after a year. It was the first and I hope ever impulse buy of my life. I got it mainly on looks and my mechanic said to buy Toyota. It was end of 2022 and there was no extra price tag so I “just” paid full retail. I hated the car from the get go. There were a few good things about it, I thought the location, size and use of the infotainment was pretty good. I hated the electronic door handles, the overall visibility was so-so and bottom line? It was no fun to drive at all. I overcompensated and got a SQ5 and every time I get in that car I have a smile on my face. I could afford to take the hit with a trade, but got quite a bit off on the Audi. I like newer cars and do not plan to keep the car for more than 60-70k miles. I MIGHT go back to Lexus when I am in my 80’s and all I need to have is a car to drive short distances. Meaning, it would be my last car.
I still think Lexus should scrap both the NX and RX then build one that's in between the .....Too many Lexus SUV's to choose from and non of them hit the sweetspot....
I see your point. But many buyers have budget constraints and some people just don't need extra space. Lexus is just being smart to offer as many options to customers as they can.
Msrp for luxury nx350h is $ 58k, I bought mine August 2023 for 53k but the dealer will add a 5k dealer mark up so probably same 58k+tax and miscellaneous fees if you want extended warranty and maintenance. Do not buy the paint protection from dealer, it’s rip-off.
Would never ever buy a car with rough riding, quick wearing run flat tires with no spare tire or place to store one. Also would never ever buy a crappy designed vehicle that has the rear doors flowing directly into the rear wheel wells with no frame separation. 👎👎👎👎. Too bad most don’t understand a well built vehicle. Not just one that looks good.
Most annoying drive safety features ever! Lane Departure “Alert” will intervene at all times, even when lanes are narrow, even when dangerous. Should be cancelled all together UNLESS you want to be surprised the wrong way! Speed warnings cannot be put to visual only, as they would come back on with visual and vocal warnings after EACH restart, even though the system misreads speed warning signs most of the time. So LEXUS helps us, who have actually paid for this car!
He is focusing on the best (reliability and low TCO - Total Cost of Ownership -, longevity, resale value etc.) cars/brands. CR reliability rankings: #1 Lexus #2 Toyota ... #20 Chevrolet #24 GMC Low TCO statistics: Toyota/Lexus still at the top, Chevrolet and GM are a little bit better, in the middle of the rankings.
Unfortunately the traditional car makers in N. America produce really lousy products. To offer the best cars of value and quality, this reviewer chooses to offer the most sensible products on the market!
People who buy these brands have to be prepared to lose half of their money as soon as these vehicles get past a couple of years. Japanese brands are the safest option if you are not looking to lose money.

Where would you buy weather matts for the NX -2025
For hybrid the crown, but for gas nx and as well the plug in.
Got a NX350h one year ownership. Will you trade your NX for a GX550 ?
Yes!
Great review.
The way to get around run flat tires is when you purchase the vehicle get the tire and wheel coverage then you’re always covered
Help
I have a 2018 camry se which was gifted to me when my dad died. My phone android will not pair with the media 😒
Thanks for the review honestly. Your video ruled out the 350h for me. I hate the stiff ride of run flat tires and the truck is not high enough.
I'm really curious about what we mentioned, regarding being able to use Regular gasoline over Premium in the Lexus NX 350h. For any of you that own the NX350h, are you using Regular gas without any issues?
Very nice, but too small. 😢
That being said, this is the Topgun 🥇
Crown Signia or Lexus nx?
I am a Lexus nx owner however am
Looking at other brands. Main rivals comment very interesting. Can you back the reliability statement up with data?
Lexus NX 350H
Viva Lexus!@@codincoman9019
@@donaldbanner2185 that sounds really good. I’ll file this for later reference. Tku!
@@donaldbanner2185 it’s such a beautiful car. Love the darker blue w cognac leather.
Great video. I am looking at the crown signia too. Cost less and takes regular gas. I have been told the nx 350 is a quieter car and that is very important to me.
Nice test, thank you. Will Signia be available in Europe?
Too bad Lexus doesn't want to sell it to Canadians.
Tried for a year to get an NX350H 3 price increase two model years. I eventually gave up and got my deposit back.
Very good video bro thanks
I would buy the Toyota Signia before I would pay that for a Lexux 350h, though both, like all new 2025 Toyota models, are way overpriced.
Hi brother! Liked your video... please suggest some NA reliable suv 5 seater brands .
I too have an " UGLY " Face ...however, I am reliable. With a Great 14" (Screen infotainment ) complexion!
To the current owners, should i get the hybrid or the 2.4t variant, i live in a very hot climate
Brother please review most reliable sports car .
Even with rebates, this Canadian motorist still can only dream of buying used vehicles.
Where is the video for “reliable US car”? Waiting man
You're joking, right?
Hybrid would be my choice, NX.
Rav4 you are playing 60k
Pass on Toyota/Lexus Turbos until they get their shit together.
Cx5 mazda is much better than nx financially or reliability.
How much NX350h (2025)???? I have RX 350❤
You can turn off the lane departure alert and speed warnings...
@@mbieber6663 but you have to do it after every restart
Premium gas required...easy pass
Regular gas is ok
Takes 87 octane 😊

Would you kindly focus on some North American manufacturers like GM or Chevrolet? Not everybody is into Asian or foreign vehicles.
He is focusing on the best (reliability and low TCO - Total Cost of Ownership -, longevity, resale value etc.) cars/brands.
CR reliability rankings:
#1 Lexus
#2 Toyota
...
#20 Chevrolet
#24 GMC
Low TCO statistics: Toyota/Lexus still at the top, Chevrolet and GM are a little bit better, in the middle of the rankings.
Why, they are notoriously garbage! Please do your research!
He does, they are usually on the 10 worst or 10 you shouldn't buy. This is a domestic car , like most Toyotas are..built in North America
Are you Lexus salesman?
run flats are a deal breaker the way you explained it
I’m not a fan of runflat either, although I did buy an NX 350 turbo and purchase the tire and we are coverage to protect from inflated run flat tire prices
