I inherited my brothers magic set. It sold on ebay for about 695.00, thankfully the person who won the auction was nice enough to message me and ask for a refund when they showed me one page of a binder worth over 8000.00. There are many people who are not out to scam, some of us just have no clue what we have in our hands, and I did not have the time to sort through an entire room of cards. I have decided to learn how to play, instead of sell off everything. This game is very exciting.
Does anyone else get a little sad seeing decks getting taken apart?

Yes. Tbh I'd be pissed if someone destroyed my decks simply to find "cards of value" and not actually knowing what they were, what they did, or even try to figure out what the plan was.

The thought of someone else doing it is painful.
That said...it's a necessary process. How cool it would be to know all the decks/games a card has seen.
@@Culicidae47 I have one deck specifically that would break my heart. It's based around Simic Ascendancy. I worked hard on it and if it would end up in one these videos it would be ravaged and whoever was filming would stop for the 2 copies of Inexorable Tide and that's it.
@@TheyCallHimPogo that's where you can at least immortalize your deck by sharing the list online.
That way anyone can build it and play it for themselves.
In that way it isn't truly lost if it were to be disassembled.
Whenever I got my hands on full decks I used to play them before taking them apart, a few I liked so much that I upgraded them with what I had and let them stay around - I feel like that is what every deck deserves at the least ❤️

Do you by chance know the origin of the misprint?
@@Smilkma some tempest was printed right after a Charlie Brown comic and the print got lightly transferred over. Top right is where you see him.

12:16 You skipped over a couple aphetto alchemists which are like $5 dollars each since it goes infinite by un tapping itself over and over.
I don't know why I skipped that, it's one I normally would think twice about and at least scan it. This is why I need you for quality control!

I remember buying my VG mana vault for my metalworker deck for $12. I also got a promo mana crypt for $25 that was perfect. My friend bought a number of dual lands for $30-something each, wish we still had those cards.

Great hits! Don't forget to set the TCG tracker to Low to see what kind of actual quick sell value there is since most buyers pay 70% of Low.
You can scan em through the sleeves just setup an object to shield reflections. Saved me alot of time because all my stuff is sleeved too

King of Tokyo is a really fun game, highly recommend especially for those who dont play Magic etc. Fun games night game

Hey Tragic, do you bid on old school lots anymore? ( like the lots that are predominantly 4 horsemen or older), been having great luck with them as of late, so if your leaving those for us , that's cool. (Last week bought 70 legends uncommons for 104, ended up worth $600+ and they were minty too!).

If you don't mind me asking, what exactly do you search to come across stuff like this on eBay? All I ever find is a bunch of picked over bulk lots not worth the money.
It used to be easier, ebay changed the way MTG lots are categorized. Now I just search "Magic collection" and sift through all the bulk.
