- The "A" 200 solo is a hidden gem in the back of the "Burn" album that has everything we love about Blackmore. Feel, speed, melody, precision and genius transitioning over a challenging chord progression like only him (and Jon Lord!) could do it. To my ears this solo has a very "British" character that I especially enjoy in so many examples of Blackmore's work.
The amp has my take on the factory mods that Marshall did for Ritchie back in '69/'70. For those interested, I build a 100W version of the modified Major. Please ask any questions.
The handwired AIWA preamp pedal can be found on my Reverb page but I prefer to deal directly here if you don't mind.
Pickups are Migas Touch '75 Vintage, love them, highly recommended!
(Guitar parts are aproximate. Backing track extracted with Riffstation. Some EQ added in ProTools.)
Great cover, as always. Love how RB weaves in and out of different scales during this solo, with some really unique phrasing too. Absolute genius.
Couldn’t agree more! Thanks so much. 🎸🎸🎸
Il suono più bello del mondo...bravo Max sei una garanzia assoluta!!!
Grazie Mauro! :D :D :D
Damn i was hoping you or Dogwithtwobones would upload this one for so long haha. I think you are the first ive ever seen anyone do this solo on youtube. This is actually one of my favorite solo from Blackmore. Super good as always!! And sorry for my bad english
Thank you Joakim! I know I'm not going to get a lot of views as only hardcore Blackmore fans will be interested in this one but it had to be done lol. :))
Always delivering the most accurate covers, when talking about note selection and tone !!!
Thank you so much Mike!
@@mgalbu come on and you know that, there isn't other videos that can reproduce them as good as you, apart from the master himself
@@dreamerdeceiver6592 Thanks so much for your kind words :)
It's just him
Amazing, spot on tone, phrasing and feel..always loved this solo, never heard anyone nail it like this.
Thank you so much, means a lot! 🎸🎸🎸
Always been a favourite solo … a hidden gem. For years I thought it was practically unreproduceable …. If that’s a word. Great emulation.
Thank you! 🎸🎸🎸🎸
Inimitable is the word you are after BTW

Great job...always thought myself that this was a gem hidden in a pretty obscure and off the wall DP track. Very interesting to see how you handled this. You made a great job.
Thanks so much, Ian! Much appreciated! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Incredible playing as well. Since you did this solo, i would love to see you doing the second solo in "Coronarias redig" it would be incredible with that tone..love you work.

You're welcome, keep shreddin'
Amazing, in the true sense of the word. I was amazed to listen to watch (as usually ;) )
I wanted to ask about the pickups, never heard about these migas touch 75s.
Btw I just ordered a kinman impersonator e69 to check out how hum cancellig they are.
Thanks Adam!! :)))
I found the Migas Touch on eBay when looking for an affordable period correct alternative for my “76” Partscaster. The description checked all the boxes and the price was great so I decided to give them a try. Very impressed. I’ll try his ‘69s when I’ll get a chance and hear how they compare to my CS69s.
Let me know what you think of the Kinmans!
Dear Max,
a great cover. The sound hits the 70s terrific.
Can only recommend the Marshall and the booster without reservation. For every Blackmore fan a must.
There is nothing better for the old Blackmore sound.
Great job, very well played.
Keep posting

Hi Mark! Thank you so much! Very glad to hear that you're happy with the amp and boosters! Means a lot. Cheers! M.
great job Max as always! congrats!
Thanks Eric!! :)))
As I began some time ago to listen more closely to RB’s solos, I began to think about his more obscure solos, and I thought of this one, so I listened to it about 2 years ago. At that time, after not hearing it in decades I had forgotten about what a burst of detailed finger work and bends that anyone who knows how Ritchie sounds would instantly recognize that this is his playing style in this piece. He put a very large fingerprint of his playing style in such a short piece. Thanks for the look…Mike UPDATE - I typed this remark without first reading your own comment on it - had I read it then I wouldn't have even bothered to comment! Cheers...
Thanks for your comment! Glad you did, I agree 100% 🎸🎸🎸
Non ho mai capito come un brano così sia potuto finire sul lato B di un 45 giri... assolo stratosferico!
Sono d'accordissimo!
Absolutely wonderful❗ Great job❗👍👍👍
Thanks so much Darlene! :)
One of my Ritchie favorites, I try to figure it out from a long time. Thank you!
Glad to be of help! Thank you! 🎸🎸🎸
excellent ! :)
You’re right about that pedal, this sounds as close or closer than your Mark II tones! I’ll send you a message later today. Great playing too, as always!! My picking technique improves from just watching your videos, lol!
Ahahah, thank you my friend! After all I learned from your technical expertise, I’m glad that you’re getting something back from my videos! 🎸🎸🎸👍🏻
Always happy to help my friend! Would love to hear you try a little “Wasted Sunsets” with this pedal. The pickups from that era are different but I think it would be very close. That’s my hope, anyway!
Ya, your playing and tone are always spot on
Thanks Joe! Much appreciated :)
прекрасно, больше нечего добавить!
Thank you! :)))
Very good
Thanks a lot!
Eccellente!!!
Merciiiii!!! How are you my friend??
@@mgalbu I'm fine :) , still working on my guitar but it takes forever.. Hope you're well too!
