Great vibrato. Ritchie has one of the few instantly recognizable vibratos in rock, Paul Kossoff & Angus Young being two others with very distinctive and difficult to emulate vibratos.
Damn..... one of the all time classiest solos done to perfection. Hats off to you. I bought the Burn album when it first came out. I had bought Machine Head when it first came out as well lol...Im old. IMO Blackmore is one of the most underrated guitar players OAT. Page cannot touch him. Well done!
Thank you for your reaction on the channel Paw Squadron. Its not often i see a person who is questioning this channel. As you prob have figured out this is a fake rescue channel owned by bulgarian scammers.
Glad you saw my comment! I guess they’ll delete it anyway but I wanted to raise awareness as it’s obvious that they’re using those little puppies to scam people out of their money!
@@mgalbu yeah, probably. Im blocked from their channel so i cant post anything anymore. I do have a 2nd account where i posted a video with proof of their scam. Ill post the link here, if you want you can have a look. No pressure tho, if you dont watch it its ok to.
Wow if you were wearing a pair of mediaeval tights, I swear that its Ritchie posting these clips! I love the part of this solo at the 0:40 mark, RB's note choices are always great and you my friend nailed this one.
Your talent is as solid as ever, great to see/hear. You must be investing hours of daily playing to maintain this level of quality. Always good to revisit your channel and re-listen to your meticulous performances; it’s certainly encouragement for me to practice more often.
It means a lot! Thank you so much for your nice words :) Working remote helped a lot with practicing as I always had a guitar on me. I also noticed that if I didn’t play every day, I’d lose something. Must be getting old! 😖
Thank you! Much appreciated! 😊 I’m using a Major from 1970 that I modified with my take on the factory mods that Marshall did at RB’s request. The Aiwa preamp is a faithful reproduction of the original circuit, handmade with audio-grade components and high quality parts. All going through a Rockcrusher attenuator and into a 4x12 with G12H Greenbacks from 1972 with original cones. Recorded in ProTools with vintage Sennheiser and Shure microphones. No EQ or filters. The guitar has ‘75 pickups that are not an exact match to what Blackmore used at the time but they are close enough to the period-correct CS69s. Please let me know if you have any questions! Cheers, Max
As always, great playing and an incredible sound. Wonderfully captured the MK 3 sound of Ritchie Blackmore. Always a pleasure to see and hear your video. Unreserved recommendation to buy both the Marshall Major and the Aiwa Booster. Great job!
waaw Max that is really incredible! One of my favourite Blackmore solos - and a difficult one. You're really an amazing guitar player. And the sound is spot on! can you share the settings? 😀
Thanks Eric! Sure, for this one I backed off the Treble a little bit, around halfway or so. Mids at 9 o'clock, Volume high as usual. The TP1011 had both levels at around 11 o'clock. Tone and Filter all the way up. Cheers! M.
Grazie Mauro!!
Perfect Blackmore sound! How do you nail that overdriven sound at so low volume level? Do you crank up that Major and use Aiwa machine as a dummy load?
Thanks!! I play at almost full volume into an attenuator connected to a 4x12 inside an isolation cab with two microphones. I control the volume I get inside the house through the audio interface and studio monitors. It's not perfect but I get to play very loud without anybody calling the police lol
@@mgalbu But such a setup is nearly impossible to realize at least for me. I'd have had interest in hearing the Aiwa in a classic situation between guitar and a clean / high headroom amp. How would it sound alone on a Selmer Treble & Bass 50 SV without attenuator & stuff.
@@Shadow__Banned with a clean amp it will act as a distortion pedal as it has a good deal of gain. I don’t have experience with your amp in particular but the Major has lots of headroom too. Cheers, M.
Bending and vibrato are much easier, in general the guitar feels great. Not like Yngwie's though, It has to be gradual like Blackmore did or you can go out of tune when playing chords.
Had to watch this again. Its incredible what you can squeeze out the pentatonic and natural minor scales... Your tone is absolute killer btw👍
Much appreciated! Thank you.
My favourite Blackmore solo. Incredible job 💥👌

Spettacolare, uno dei migliori soli del Maestro!

That was great! Amazing. Not an easy solo to copy, you have the style and sound nailed.

Thank you so much! Very appreciated. Totally agree with you. Blackmore was the best of his generation on every level, hands down. Cheers, M.

Did Blackers actually use his AIWA on Burn?
Absolutely, it was his first album with the AIWA. Cheers, M.
