A lot of people use the word "Love" very loosely.
My husband is stubborn as HELL. 28 years of marriage and still chooses his way. No amount of counseling, tears, begging, even prayers for years have caught his willingness to hear me. Wait, he's heard me, he is stubborn! Does not want to fix what is safe for him, i.e., zero intimacy, zero affection.
My husband told me that he loved me on our first date. I was scared 😱 😨 😳, so I didn't know how to respond. He introduced me to his parents the following month and he told his mother that I was going to be his wife. He was a soldier and he left for Iraq two months after we met. He asked me to wait on him to return, so I did. He proposed to me 5 months later and we tied the knot 3 months later. We just celebrated 15 years of marriage.

Very true, it happened to me last year. He was a red flag & I kicked him out from my place.
I met my husband at a party. He told me he love me after 30 minutes of talking to me. He then asked me to marry him 3 weeks later… fast forward 22 years later of being together and 19 years married, he’s a fantastic husband and father to our 3 beautiful children! This was a time that I trusted no one and just asked God to send me who he wants me to be with…my husband said he did the same. This changed my entire life!

I actually met my husband, when I was 8 months pregnant! I was on the train in San Francisco back in 1981. The father of my unborn and I had already parted ways and he was stationed in Germany. To make a long story short, after having my daughter ( Kevin' man I met on train) his grandma by coincidence became my child care provider when I was attending UCSF. By then my daughter was 3 and I had never seen Kevin again, only random phone calls checking on me and my baby. One day, while I was picking up my daughter from child care at Miss Saunders house, and all of a sudden, I caught a glimpse of someone coming through her front door. Then I asked Miss Saunders, who is that, I think someone is in your house and she said, " oh that's probably my grandson" and I said I didn't know you had a grandson that lived here and she said "yes his name is Kevin" and I said Kevin? she instantly gave me the last name of the same Kevin that I met on the BART train almost 3 years prior, so her and I begin to talk and I said Ms Sanders that's the guy that I've been telling you about, but to be honest I could not remember his last name, until you said it.
She said "oh my goodness, you must be the person that he's been telling me about for almost 3 years and saying that he met this really pretty pregnant and nice lady on the train and I'm going to marry her one day" Over the year's we had formed an amazing friendship and he became the father of 4 daughters, by two different women. Although neither of his relationships worked, he and I were always friends. So fast forward to 1999 he and I eloped when my daughter was 19. He and I have been married for 23 years and he always tells me how much he loves me and how much he needed me through life.. I was 39 and he was 35 the day we eloped, now I'm 62 and he's 58.... My daughter is 41 and my Stepdaughters are, 24 26, 30 and 33...what an awesome life, when stranger's cross paths

My husband found me on a dating website 12 yrs after we initially met in 6th grade. He told me he had a crush on me in 6th grade but never said anything. When we met, he didn't want children or marriage. 1 month later, we PLANNED our 1st child and the following yr (6 months later we were married). When a man deeply loves you - it’s only natural for him to say: “I’m on my way.” Actually, that’s how you would expect him to react or behave.
It makes perfect sense, because obviously he would not want anything bad to happen to you - he’s going to want to protect you - or rescue you, if is that what you need.
He’s not going to take a chance at potentially losing the person that he loves - because that to him would be unbearable if that were to happen!

I realized this was the one area that was lacking with my last relationship. At first, it didn't seem like a big deal because the world was on lockdown from covid. Seriously, though, his family should have known I existed... I didn't realize till almost a year later, only my family knew about him.

I’m so sorry it didn’t work out. I went through the same thing with my children’s father. My heart would pitter patter when he came home from work. We would hold hands in church but after 15 years of marriage and his falling in love with his first cousin which he didn’t deny, I filed for divorce.

I met my love online. I found out he is 14 yrs my junior. I am dumbfounded but he told me I said and did things he had never heard from any woman or had done for him before. He said that was how he fell in love with me. I have to admit I had been listening to Stephen Speaks and used what I learned to see what would happen. It didn’t take long, 3 days to be exact. That is so beautiful😢 I just met my boyfriend after both of us being single and married to others earlier in our life. On our first date he told me he loved me and it scared me to death, but when he explained that he was about what he saw inside of me and he felt at peace saying it to me, I was floored. He follows those words with many actions. I am a military veteran who deals with physical pain a lot of the time and he’ll do the sweetest things like rub my legs, cook for me, protects me and is very chivalrous. He shows me I don’t have to be so tough anymore but he appreciates my strength. We have agreed to let the relationship grow and learn how to get out of our independent ways to learn to consider each other. Seeing your post just gives me goosebumps because it reminds me of him and what we are learning in our relationship. I subscribed with the quickness!

This was triggering. I had a long marriage with a lot of narcissistic manipulation. One thing I've learned. Is someone who truly loves you, is dedicated to understanding you. It's also extremely difficult to say the wrong thing to the right person. If you are making every attempt to communicate clearly with compassion and he's being oblivious....it's a huge red flag. Don't keep trying...he's not. I pray everyone finds real, true love in life. 🌷❤

I cannot talk to my guy about the difficult things without either anger or him changing the topic completely. I stepped back for a while but met up with him for a few days to just visit. The longer I was around him, the more I realized why I had stepped back. "Believe what a man shows you, not what he tells you," goes along with what you have written here. Narcissistic manipulation has blinded me for way too long and I am realizing that my intuition was right! I wasn't overthinking many of the things that set off alarms for me. I wasn't being nitpicky. It was really the wrong things all along for a guy who truly loves me to do/say/express. And now coming back to visit him, I find out he is talking 2-3 times a week with his ex-wife. I think I know my answer to should I stay or should I go. RUN!
My man told me during our first conversation that he could see himself with me long term. A week into our courtship, he told me that he loved me. Three weeks into it, he began discussing marriage...told me that he wanted to make me his wife. We're only a month into dating, and he includes me in his future plans. He's attentive, supportive in every way and he is a protector and provider. He always checks in on me, is gentle in his communication yet firm, and he feeds into me spiritually, it's way more than just sex. I've been very apprehensive about this but this video confirmed what my intuition has been screaming to me..he is the one! There's so much more I could share but there's no point...he is the one. He is so patient with me and I can truly say that I love this man. His actions and words align...I thank God for him entering my life.

Real shit! The first person I call or want when I’m crying or some shit happen is my fiancé. He just calms me and reassure me that we will fix it and get through it. we’re planning our wedding and I’m scared , not if commitment but just idk the unknown. Also, if a man or woman consistently says "love you" or "love ya" instead of adding that "I"....it makes a difference. I completely understand that mindset he talks about. Semantics matter in that instance. By adding the "I"...it takes ownership of the emotion and embodies it completely. I've had my boyfriend tell me both and if he never used the "I"...I'd be a bit wary, but what really makes my knees buckle is when he says I love you and adds my name at the end. He's not only owning it in that instance, but directing that focus on me even more. That gives it that extra dose of heart-melty goodness.
I'm grateful that I have that again in my life after having it with my partner (and step-father to my 6 children) of 14 years who died suddenly 2 years ago to an extremely insidious and aggressive form of liver cancer. I've been blessed to have that sort of love again in my life. 💘

I totally agree with this! I've had some draining abusive relationships in the past. Everything is different with my husband of 5 years ,Chris. I quit work to be a stay at home mom. We both agreed to this. He took care of the bills but one day he came home and the house wasn’t as clean as he wanted it.
