Yup. The show was cancelled in order to make room on the schedule for the Laverne & Shirley in the Army cartoon, which ironically, lasted for the same amount of episodes.

This show was worthy of 12 seasons, not the barely 2 it was given. Nielsen must of done crap job gathering ratings back then too cause' every kid loved this show

I would have been 22-23, but something about the show fascinated me. Yeah it’s got that kinda goofy Saturday morning feel, but it’s much less disposable than a lot of other shows of its era. It was only ahead of its time in the melding of high fantasy and low fantasy - like a mixture of Conan the Barbarian stories with a crazy post-apocalyptic future Earth setting. I can't help but think that its creator Steve Gerber was inspired by the Gamma World RPG (made by the same company that made the Dungeons & Dragons RPG series), which was released in 1978.
I would prefer a reboot as an animated version, with a similar art style to original. The visuals of the original are so great, just improve the main characters a bit, and such, but use a vintage style for post apocalyptic world, or something that doesn't look too modern.
I agree but I would also love to have Tarzan: Lord of the Jungle! The previous release was not only poorly done but missing over 1/2 of the episodes. Color correction was not even attempted. A really awful job.
Digging the resolution! Much sharper than mine! For the literal, thousand+ times I've watched the opening sequence, I never noticed 0:32 the magic runes on the sorcerer's chamber wall when he is conjuring that winged monster!
