One more thing. Don't do kipping pushups, pullups, anything. Don't add momentum, but focus on pure strength to execute a move. It is better to do one perfect pushup than 42 kipping pushups.
1. Analyze and breakdown he movement you want to learn and work on the right progression 2. Do negative eccentrics of the movement 3. Work youre weakpoints 4. Use the said principle choose the right on one movemnt and then learn that 2-3 skills and work toward them. 5. Have a balanced proram dont just work push movements work push pull and legs every week
6. Never leave out basics. Pushups, pullups, squats, deadlifts(I know it's not calisthenics but its prolly best exercise for your back). Those 4 exercises cover most of the muscles in your body especially when you do different variations. I'd say it's crucial to really master those because it makes you stronger overall, therefore easier for you to do more advanced stuff.
Thanks Bro...for the points..am gonna apply it to my program...Uve really helped me come a long way....i have even started improving....buh not that much....so im gonna add these plus ur program.....Thanks Austin!!!!!!
Specialization is key homie you got it! It's easier to maintain skills than it is to learn them. So if you go through all the calisthenic skills one or two at a time, master those, then move on to the others, you're going to benefit a lot more in the long run. Trying to learn everything at once will just mean you'll never get to prioritize or drill in a single one of them
Take your god damn deserved like, bro. I came to this video not looking for answer but contrasting some previous knowledge adquired from experience and studies and I have to say that I'm completely agree with this training keys. Well done and keep going with the good job!
Austin congrats on hitting 500k! You've inspired me to chase my dreams. I'm backing out of the Navy DEP and I'm gonna focus on building my fitness brand. Thank you for being a great figure to look up to.
Hey Austin your arms have gotten bigger and are making your delts look smaller. Dont neglect to train those delts. Everything else is on point. keep it up !!
I’ve been injured so many times but inshallah Ima be doing my thing before summer I could do like 6 or 7 pull ups, but I weigh 245. Once I cut weight I’ll be unstoppable
Good job bro, keep it up, you inspire and motivate me soo much.O and also, you are a really good teacher, it would be great for me if u see this message. ✌😁💪
So I’m need of some help. I’ve been trying to do the one arm chin up for quite over 6 months with barely any visible progress. I don’t really know what I’m doing wrong but I can’t even lift myself up from deadhang. I’ve been doing the negatives and I manage to reach sometimes up to 15-20 seconds, yet still no progress when I try the whole movement. I’m 80 kilos and yeah sure that’s a lot however I’m able to do 10 wide grip pull ups with 20 kilos and honestly I really don’t know what to do. Any help would be appreciated:)
@@JohnsonKapofiI have been practicing front levers for a while. Just recently I have been able to hold it, but in bad form. Those dragon flies will help me with core stability so I don't look like a banana. What are you having trouble with?
Hope this helps! You can check out more free resources here: workoutad.com/pages/austin-dunham-resources
Thanks for 500k!!!
You mean Dragon Flag introduced by Bruce Lee.
1. Break down the movement
2. Do negatives
3. Target your weak points
4. Remember the said principle
5. Have overall balance in your routine
Thanks for that Bruh!
youre welcome!
SE Metro great summary 💪🏼
Did my first 3 muscle ups yesterday 🐲😁 like for good luck 😂
I've been training for an year but still can't muscle up

That’s true, full range of motion which is better
Wait how do you kip on a push up
@@rozikhan2744 By letting gravity do the eccentric part of the push-up instead of slowly controlling the negative.

Assisted 1 arm pull ups with a band, archer pull ups (both variations) have rest days and be patient bro calisthenics is a slow and rewarding process
I am doing these exercises as well, though I have to admit I rarely take a break
Increase rest time

Also Austin: train balanced

its not a "front dip" its a "bar dip"
hey sir provide a how to pull up

did you just say front dip. you know it's called straight bar dip. am i the only one that really cares about nomenclature.
