    I did Canberra - Brisbane - Canberra last year, camped at a campsite both ways overnight and slept in the car, autopilot was so good felt almost no fatigue both ways!

    Thanks for creating this content. Some good insights for both new and not so new Tesla owners. Hopefully the luggage based sass didn’t get you into too much trouble :) have a safe trip, and hopefully you find some warmer weather !

    Love the fact you no longer have to "tug at the wheel". Is that for both FSD and AP?

    • @Tesla-Red
      @Tesla-Red  3 месяца назад +1

      I assume both as FSD is not much more than AP here.
      I did get a couple of nags on this most recent trip but that may have been due to the conditions and it would have been getting towards evening so unsure why.
      The big trip I had none at all for the whole 4000km.

    Thanks for the video mate great review on the road trip I was thinking how would the road trip would affect your fatigue levels. Haven't seen any other review that actually includes how you feel after the drive. 👍

      Yeah that's a big focus for me as I understand how dangerous fatigue can be.
      Definitely felt great after the drive. The 14 hour drive in the Tesla with autopilot roughly feels like a 3 or 4 hour drive in an ICE vehicle with cruise control.
      Thanks for watching

    great efficiency at 128wh/km. what gas car drivers don't realize, some power companies in australia can allow you to charge at 8 cents or less per kilowatt hour, ignoring charging losses your 8184km could cost under $90, its a now brainer to own EV's

    Great review it show the life of a tesla owner and how tesla are extraordinary cars especially for road trip in Australia. However we are waitting for the refresh model y I do want the long range because it is AWD and the place we go in Australia are snowy. What is your opinion on long range or rwd in Australia and should I get the mobile connecter or wall connector for home use? I think moblie is better with the special outlet.

      New Model Y will be great, but just be aware, I don't expect it to be available in Australia until late next year.
      Definitely lots of reasons to go LR, I did discuss my reasons in the video, but it was a toss up really. The extra range and faster charging are two obvious advantages, if you are going to the snow, absolutely, AWD is an advantage, plus you get the better sound system etc.
      Mobile connector is perfect for most people, I would have just used that myself, however all the wiring was already in place for a wall connector so it was very cheap for me to get that. If the wiring hadn't been there, I'd just have gone with the mobile charger.
