Thanks for a great video, loved the views and your journey really brought back memories as I'm from Manchester but moved to France back in 2008. I must admit I've not watched many Tesla content videos recently as we've literally just taken delivery of our new multi coat red Model 3 and am still getting used to all its technology. I had forgotten all about the rainbow road so just about to go out and see if I can find it on my car. Thanks again for the great content and as a PSG supporter it was a nice bonus to see them included in your video 😀
Took my M3 to VN too and used the charging, which was very handy. Rather than using a regular travel adapter, it's recommended to get a specialist adapter designed for the constant high current. Just thought I'd mention that in case anyone watches this and thinks it's a good idea to use a regular one. V interesting to see the braking incidents and that they didn't happen again. I've only had them on AP.
Great and inspiring video. We ordered the Standard Range Model Y and as far as i can see, its only a few extra stops on a long road trip. When chosing the standard range, we could also stay under the limit before extra taxes were put on the car + the extra horse powers cost a lot in insurance here in Denmark.
Great review and video. Very interesting and informative. Being a new Tesla Model 3 LR owner, I was very interested in how you found the drive to France and the supercharging network, especially since you don't live too far away from us 😀 Your video helped to answer a few of the questions we had about driving such a distance. Thanks for sharing your trip and we will look forward to some more of your Tesla videos.
What a great video, really enjoyed it! Waiting for my Model 3 and I’m going on a road trip to Dunkirk and the nearby towns, I’ve saved some sites from you video 😃👍🏼.
Check your tyres don’t have sound deadening foam inside them or tyreweld might not work. I regularly drive our M3LR from French Pyrenees to England. I leave home with 100% charge, stop at Saintes Supercharger with about 15-20% for about 45mins, then to Nantes Supercharger for a top back up to 80% and some lunch and then the last full charge at Rennes before driving to St Malo ferry. This means I have loads in the battery when I arrive in UK. All Superchargers I use for this journey, are in Hotel car parks and this means leaving the motorways to get to them. The cost of using public chargers means EV charging costs are at parity with petrol and diesel mpg. I can drive the same route in a 1.5 turbo diesel with a full tank.

Excellent and enjoyable video. Appreciate your video editing too. For the Tesla AEB, it seemed too abrupt compared with the way my Model S handles pedestrians in close proximity. In my road trip to "Flying Goose Mountain" with lots of people walking nearby, the proximity alarm went off instead of any emergency braking. Btw, this is a "road trip" in Hong Kong (if you can call it a road trip!). Anyway, thanks for a wonderful video. Subscribed.
Thanks for your comment. Yes, I’d be interested as to how the Tesla would handle it nowadays (this was filmed 8 months ago) as I think the software has been tweaked to favour proximity warnings too. I get plenty of proximity warning alarms so imagine it’d start with that at least rather than just straight to AEB.
Great video quality and editing! I drove my TM3 LR 21 to Lake Como last Summer and had a similarly smooth experience - with free charging. A couple of friendly advices: 1) In the notes on top, I suggest you record your equipment for the benefit of the viewer. Several of us will wonder e.g. what camera and mic etc. were used for the excellent video. 2) The quality is too good to be marred with repeated and not so subtle attempts to get us to engage ("let me know below....") - we get that it increases points and pay, but let the quality speak for itself, and be the magnet, focus and attraction - also; most likely it will be easier to get repeated viewers that way. Again - a friendly advice that might come handy. Wish you and your family the best.
Thanks for your comment and valuable feedback Thomas, I will bear that in mind for the future 👍 FYI, it was all filmed on my iPhone 11 Pro and Mavic Mini 2 🙂

I bought my August 2021 M3SR+ LFP just a few months after you bought yours, and, three years later I enjoy it as much as you did in this vid. Great trip! How was map navigation on tesla and was there any confusion which street to go on. I very familiar with Google Map, im getting a tesla soon!
Tesla navigation uses Google Maps under the hood so it's almost exactly the same and super easy to navigate and see how much charge you'll have at your destination and if you did a return journey
Nice trip log. How about the tesla LR model 3 charging frequency? For example, 100 miles per charge? tesla claims 330 miles per charge for LR model 3. Thanks.
We didn't get any range anxiety, just used the Tesla navigation and predicted battery levels and took breaks on the road trip whilst the car was supercharging. Range is good in warm weather, maybe not 330 miles but at least 250+ miles from a full charge (depending on roads and driving style)

While Tesla does have the best charging network hands down. Will there be enough of them after this flood of byers happen? Beautiful video, I am a sucker for scenery.
Thanks Harry. I’m sure you won’t regret ordering it. If I was ordering now I’d certainly go for the Y for the easy access and roomier boot, although as you’ve seen you can fit plenty in the boot of the 3 too!
@@harrytrueman4216 yes, it took me ages to find the time to process all the footage such that I could do the trip justice. I realised I had to get it out before this summer so hopefully it’ll helps others planning family Tesla road trips this summer ☀️
@@rickontesla lol, you must be a project manager? Your trip was planned really well the way you got the game and booked various nights at different places. Can you make a video about the tesla autopilot and if its necessary? I don't see myself using it...
Good review, thanks. We have a French holiday most years (well, before Covid we did!) and looking forward to more in our new M3LR when it comes. Just as a matter of interest, do you know what your SuC cost would have been if you hadn't had your free ones? And one piece of feedback from my wife: you didn't tell us the names of all of the coastal towns you showed!
Thanks for the feedback Rob (and please thank your wife too) 🙂 I had thought about putting overlays on each place we went to but in some cases, it would be have been on for a very short time on the video and may be more of a distraction than a benefit. I did mention most of the names of the places we went to but in case it's useful to you and others, here's the list of the coastal towns we visited: - Cap Blanc Nez - Wissant - Fort D'Ambleteuse - Wimereaux - Boulogne-sur-Mer - Plage d'Hardelot - Plage de Berck - National Nature Reserve of the Somme
My supercharger costs in Europe are about 12 % less than the U.K. and average €19 I tend to let the car do the planning … it’s effortless. I don’t miss the overcrowded, stinky motorway services! Instead I’m relaxing at vineyards, golf courses and boutique hotels.
Great video! Can I ask, did you get your wheels sprayed a different colour? They look like the basic wheels but in a nicer colour than the ones on the web today. Like a darker grey...
Really good, informative video. This is exactly what I needed for our France trip later this year. Where possible, please create more content. And subscribed!
Brilliant video - thinking about doing a very similar trip! Extremely well filmed and edited too :). Did you find many non-Tesla cars charging at the superchargers? Once concern is that due to charge port locations, other cars might need to park sideways across 3 chargers which would mean chargers are listed as available in the Tesla Navigation but are blocked on arrival.
Great video = liked the video and subscribed!! More videos like this please and also a video on buying a Tesla and insurance for the Tesla would be awesome. I’m hoping to get a Tesla at some point, I currently have the Vauxhall Mokka E which is my first EV and I love it so cannot wait to eventually upgrade to a Tesla M3 LR or MY LR
This is perfect as I’m in Windsor and planning our first road trip to France (actually through to Switzerland) in the next couple of months. Not only first EV road trip but first time driving on the right! Our car parks are expensive, but if you live here and have an EV you can get a free pass for all council run car parks
To be fair, we did pick the touristy car park, right in the centre of town and next to the castle. I'm sure there's more reasonably charged car parks around town 🙂
btw, if you have the blue 16A connector for your granny charger it’s possible to get a EU 16A plug to 16A blue socket. This increases the charge rate up from the 2kWh that the GB plug limits you to. Check out caravan cables for a suitable one. Make sure it’s rated for 16A as some are too thin.
The Disneyland car park charging - did you have to register with any particular service? And what was the cost? Always nervous about non-Tesla chargers
@@rickontesla awesome, thanks for the speedy reply. I have a Disneyland Paris Infinity pass, so parking and many other perks are free. Well worth looking into if you’re going to make it a regular trip, as we are
This was an excellent video and you filmed your trip so well but the most impressive thing was you being able to help clean the car out when you got back 😂 I will be buying a used EV in the summer as the prices are so good now but can't decide between a Model 3 long range or the Jaguar I Pace both on a 2020 plate
I've only just found your review. Excellent real - world review, very helpful. I am thinking of a Tesla - other EVs seem to be more of a faff to charge.
I am looking forward for my M3 to arrive, I have the same configuration. My order is since Mid September and delivery was delayed twice already by Tesla, once from Q4 to Q1, from Q1 to Q2, and now with the China factory shutdown I am skeptical about the Q2 as well.
Thanks Derra, yeah all the drone footage is my own. I'm a part-time commercial drone pilot so couldn't resist bringing one of my small drones with me 🙂
Can you explain what you mean by “it was quiet so we got a decent charge rate”? Does charge rate vary by the number of cars using the Tesla Supercharger?
Sure, most supercharger units have 2 charger cables (one for each bay). If you park next to someone and share the same charging unit you’ll both receive a slower charge. So, always try and park every other bay if possible.
I want to travel around the U.S. and Canada soon and camp in the back with a makeshift bed. I also have a 12 volt refrigerator in the sub trunk, a butane stove, a USB powered faucet for a camping sink and will get a 2 gallon water bag for that and a camping clothes washing bag to do one outfit of laundry each day to air dry. If it goes well I'd like to do the same in Europe and other parts of the world. I was thinking of shipping my Tesla but someone told me that you can rent them throughout Europe for only a couple hundred dollars per week. Do you know anything about that? If that's the case I'll just setup my garage to be able to remotely manage Turo rentals and rent my Tesla on that to offset the rental cost in Europe. In the U.S. I can just go to my nationwide gym to shower (and workout while I'm there). Do you know of any gyms that are all over Europe that would let a foreigner sign up without a contract?
Rentals are fairly economical in the UK/Europe, not sure about Tesla's though if you wanted to rent a Tesla specifically. I'm afraid I don't know the answer to the gym question, most will try and tie you in to 12 month contracts ut you might be able to get a short term roaming pass if you're prepared to pay a bit extra.
@@rickontesla I could also potentially buy a used Tesla and sell it when I leave for less of a loss than a rental over a year or so. Do you know if they have older S's with unlimited free lifetime Supercharging there?
Great video, thank you! We're getting our model 3 in august, which will be used for a 156 mile commute (each way), and we were looking at how motorway miles per kwh compare to city miles. Tell the truth, did you wash the car before you pulled into the drive afterwards?
Thanks Lee. No, we didn't wash the car at all whilst we were away (apart from scraping a few bugs off the number plate). I just watched it back and it does look clean when we got back but I'd assume that'd be from the heavy rains we had the day before and with the sun shining on the car it made it gleam a bit 🙂
Hi. Great Video. I’m driving to Paris in my Tesla at Christmas. I have a couple of questions… What other stuff do we need to take with us legally? Breathalyser etc? Also, the GB sticker… is it magnetic? Does it affect the paint work at all?
Thanks Matthew, yes we had to take a breathalyser too but I think that might be being phased out. I got 2 x magnetic GB stickers on Amazon. Got 2 in case someone thought it’d be funny to rip it off. No issues at all with the paint afterwards.
The breathalyser is a wonderfully french bit of stupidity. You were legally required to carry it, but there was no prescribed punishment for not doing so. I think the whole thing is history now though. You do need a med kit, triangle, and high vis vests for everyone in the car. You're also technically supposed to have a set of spare bulbs for the lights, but that seems irrelevant for LED lights.
Did your Tesla connectivity package work in France or did you use your mobile data? What's about toll roads, did you use a dongle or pay cash? Great video, great review. I really love the colour of your car. It's a stunning car. Did you take off the hubcaps that came with the car or are those low profile wheels? What is the anti tilt for? Is that a security feature?
Answers below 🙂: - Connectivity worked fine in France. - Paid contactless for toll roads (Halifax Clarity card) - Took the aero covers off and put on the 5 arm clamps which look great IMO. They're not low profile wheels. - Yeah, anti-tilt is to stop someone craning your Tesla on to a low loader truck and doing one with it!
Great video, but one thing I don’t understand, why don’t u drive the car down to a lower SoC? The car is so much faster on a long trip if u only charge to 60% and arrive at a supercharger with 5%
Faster in what way? Acceleration or shortened charge times perhaps? Either of them didn't matter to me. We were on holiday so I would not dream of adding any stress by trying to time supercharges with the battery down at 5% 🤣
Thanks Clive, it's everchanging but I believe you now need a UK sticker rather than a GB sticker, no longer need a green card and Covid rules have been relaxed. Best to check the latest yourself before you travel 👍
Hello Rick, Very nice Video, shows definitely that Tesla has the upper hand when it comes to convenience with their Superchargers!! I have a Model 3 Standard+ in Canada Just outside of Ottawa, Ontario and planning a trip next year to France/Netherlands/Spain and maybe even Portugal and was thinking of renting a Tesla there for the 2 or 3 weeks of the trip. Is that a possible thing and is it decent price or exorbitant ripoff?? (PS Europeans are often challenged when they come to Canada with our distances, If I go visit my Papa who live in the same province as myself (Ontario) our weekend visit is easily 1200 Km- The reverse is true also I discovered when for our Honeymoon in France in2014 with an RV my wife was so surprised that by the time she found out where we were on the Michelin Map, I had passed it 10 minutes before!! LOL Very funny!!) Thank you again for a very nice Virtual trip!
It used to be but has now changed to a UK sticker .... From 28th September 2021, the distinguishing mark (or national identifier) displayed on vehicles registered in the United Kingdom that are driven abroad will change from GB to UK. From 2nd August 2021, drivers will no longer require an insurance green card for taking their vehicles to France.
@@rickontesla Thanks for your reply . Here in the US in most states we have the option to have on our plates the county we live in. Most people pass because it makes you targets while traveling. To have such a sticker on my trunk/boot screams I'm a tourist come get me. That's not safe imo. I guess that's different cultures. Safe travels
1 year old video and GB stickers? Those aren't valid, must have UK stickers or on the number plate now. Although having just got back from a trip ourselves, it seems that many Brits didn't bother to check or didn't think it applied to them.
@@rickontesla Thanks, I did wonder. I still saw plenty of GB stickers or none at all last week so clearly plenty of Brits still aren't aware or don't care about the changes. I will add that we had a fab trip, so relaxing and have already booked one to Italy next year. :)
6:39 Excellent Tesla tip. Tesla misbehaving? Get the wife to go into "Mom mode" and give the vehicle a good telling off. With perhaps an hour on the naughty step, for good measure.
Road trips can be made by any car depending on time budget and ability. But I’ll stick with ice still for my trips onto the continent. I live up in the north lakes i do not need to fuel way past calie apx 900mils we tend to do on some trips well over 1000m to 1500m days but on are casual days translating 900-1000. And for that time is everything and waiting 40-50mins to charge would effect how we holiday and are enjoyment of taking side adventures to un planned destinations, and ice brings freedom of the unexpected. But respect if you enjoy ev’s enjoy it but don’t expect it will work or be suitable to all.
Can anyone advise please...... TESLA Hmmmmmm!!!!! I took ownership of a brand new AWD Model Y on the 23rd of January 2024, and in a little over 2 weeks I have done 560 miles. I don't have a charger at home so I charge at Tesla superchargers at 40p a KW. I go before I start work at 5am when it is the cheapest rate. I did do just over 100 miles of charge at the local shell garge which cost me £26.81 the other 4 superchargers cost me a total of £80.40 thats a whopping £107.21 in 17 days. Does anyone think this is correct or do they think I have an issue with my battery. To be honest the first few day I did put my foot down and have the heating on, some mornng I don't have the heating on at all. I have a 2013 BMW M Sport Diesel and costs me just over £80 to fill it and I would get around 600 miles to a tank of diesel. I regret getting a Tesla now.....
If you turn off Automatic Emergency Braking, the car will turn it back on every time you drive. It is always on, the off button is only for the current drive.
You charged first time when you had 54%? That's gonna be some slow charging. You can easily drive to 10%, or close to that, can't imagine there was not chargers for 44% charge distance... Second charge at 42%? You are talking about charge rate while you charge at way to high a percentage. Charge rate show above 85%, that's also bad charging, charge no higher than 80% and don't charge above 20%. Preferably around 5%, but you can have some margin and charge at 10%. Third charge at 39% to 97%, at least 4 times longer than what you should be doing. You doubled charging time from what you needed at minimum. When charging at V3, there's no influence of other cars charging, you get max charge all the time. Only V2 with A and B are affected to share charge. (V2 has two charging cables and max 150kW rate, V3 has one cable and 250kW rate. V2 shares max range between every A and B duo, so 1A and 1B occupied means you split 150kW. V3 has a lot more capacity and will most likely never see you lose time or much charging speed.) When at V2 charge your charge speed is only affected by the person to either your left or right, if you share the same number and use A and B, so what you are saying doesn't make a lot of sense. If a charge park is fully occupied accept the B next to your A, you get max speed, it's the only thing you should care about. Charging stationary to 100% and leaving car there for hours, better if you don't charge to 100%, but if you do time it so you leave close to fully charged and not leave it there for hours. Fifth charge from 50%, again you talk about charge speed but you start charge at wrong percentage... For somebody wanting to really prepare, you seem to not know certain key things about charging speed, the different Tesla stalls and at what percentage you should charge to what percentages.
Thanks for your comment but I think you might take charging a wee bit more seriously than me 🤣 Personally, I'm not going to try and get my car down to 5% battery whilst on a point to point family road trip. What a disaster it would have been if I'd have run out. I charged at sensible points, for example when we had spare time in the evening at Heathrow so we didn't have to charge the next morning on the way to Dover. All the best 🙂
This is amazing feels different to look at charging in the UK and France compared to US here
I have never been to the US, so what's the difference in comparison?

Good video, you are right it's no filla and all killa. I'm close to ordering the y, just need some more encouragement
!
Thanks Harry.
I’m sure you won’t regret ordering it. If I was ordering now I’d certainly go for the Y for the easy access and roomier boot, although as you’ve seen you can fit plenty in the boot of the 3 too!
@@rickontesla I realised you must have filmed this last year as that's when messi signed with psg?
Thanks for the feedback Rob (and please thank your wife too) 🙂
I had thought about putting overlays on each place we went to but in some cases, it would be have been on for a very short time on the video and may be more of a distraction than a benefit.
I did mention most of the names of the places we went to but in case it's useful to you and others, here's the list of the coastal towns we visited:
- Cap Blanc Nez
- Wissant
- Fort D'Ambleteuse
- Wimereaux
- Boulogne-sur-Mer
- Plage d'Hardelot
- Plage de Berck
- National Nature Reserve of the Somme
My supercharger costs in Europe are about 12 % less than the U.K. and average €19
I tend to let the car do the planning … it’s effortless.
No I didn't change the wheels at all 🤷♂️
Really good, informative video. This is exactly what I needed for our France trip later this year. Where possible, please create more content.
And subscribed!
Thanks Faz 🙂
Another great vid!
Phenomenal job on the video. Fair play.
Fantastic and informative video - Thank you👍🏾
Glad it was helpful!
@@rickontesla there really aren’t ;)
btw, if you have the blue 16A connector for your granny charger it’s possible to get a EU 16A plug to 16A blue socket. This increases the charge rate up from the 2kWh that the GB plug limits you to.
Check out caravan cables for a suitable one. Make sure it’s rated for 16A as some are too thin.
great informative video.
Loved the video. Adding to my case for buying a Tesla 3….
The Disneyland car park charging - did you have to register with any particular service? And what was the cost? Always nervous about non-Tesla chargers
No registration needed, they were standard type 2 7kw chargers. The chargers are "free" after you've paid your 30 euros 🙂
@@rickontesla awesome, thanks for the speedy reply. I have a Disneyland Paris Infinity pass, so parking and many other perks are free. Well worth looking into if you’re going to make it a regular trip, as we are
Thanks from Canada for a wonderful video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hi Rick! I just ordered my Model Y, which floor mats or some child seat cover would you recommend ? Thanks, Gio.
I got some well reviewed ones on Aliexpress for half the price of the ones on Amazon. Worth waiting if you're in no rush 👍
This was an excellent video and you filmed your trip so well but the most impressive thing was you being able to help clean the car out when you got back 😂 I will be buying a used EV in the summer as the prices are so good now but can't decide between a Model 3 long range or the Jaguar I Pace both on a 2020 plate
Are there plenty of chargers in South of France Nice? Saint Tropez?
What a great family holiday!
First major one after the pandemic started to ease up so it was even more enjoyable 🙌
@@rickontesla I couldn’t agree more! We just went away for a few days and we didn’t wear masks 😷! It felt very strange.
The camera capture is amazing what did you use?
Thanks .... just an iPhone 11 Pro and a DJI Mini 2 for the drone shots 🙏
Very well put. Amazingly done!
Thanks Sam, appreciate you leaving a comment!
Is Full Self Driving an option on Teslas in Europe?
I've only just found your review. Excellent real - world review, very helpful. I am thinking of a Tesla - other EVs seem to be more of a faff to charge.
What about the front trunk
Brilliant review!
Thanks!
I am looking forward for my M3 to arrive, I have the same configuration. My order is since Mid September and delivery was delayed twice already by Tesla, once from Q4 to Q1, from Q1 to Q2, and now with the China factory shutdown I am skeptical about the Q2 as well.
Fingers crossed you get your M3 soon, it'll be worth the wait!
Very pleasant travelogue. Thank you.
James
California
Glad you enjoyed it
Good video. Did you do the drone photography at the 7 minute mark or was that stock footage?
Thanks Derra, yeah all the drone footage is my own.
I'm a part-time commercial drone pilot so couldn't resist bringing one of my small drones with me 🙂
Can you explain what you mean by “it was quiet so we got a decent charge rate”? Does charge rate vary by the number of cars using the Tesla Supercharger?
Sure, most supercharger units have 2 charger cables (one for each bay).
If you park next to someone and share the same charging unit you’ll both receive a slower charge.
So, always try and park every other bay if possible.
@@rickontesla unless it's a V3 then it doesn't matter
Thank you for doing such a nice video. It was very informative.
Nice one Rick
Subscribed… im thinking to buy a model 3 standard plus… anyone with this model and experience a long trip?
So do I need to let my car insurance company know I'm going to be driving in France? Also, did your phone work just fine in France post-brexit?
You’ll need to check whether your insurance covers you in France as not all policies do. Phone worked fine.
Great video
Hi. Regarding the headlights . Do we need to worry anymore? Do they need adjustment or to put a sticker on ?
Oh and curious why you chose ferry over tunnel?
For me it's cheaper, more pleasant, inclusive meal and part of the trip.
Answers below 🙂:
- Connectivity worked fine in France.
- Paid contactless for toll roads (Halifax Clarity card)
- Took the aero covers off and put on the 5 arm clamps which look great IMO. They're not low profile wheels.
- Yeah, anti-tilt is to stop someone craning your Tesla on to a low loader truck and doing one with it!
Brilliant video mate! Very informative.
We were on holiday so I would not dream of adding any stress by trying to time supercharges with the battery down at 5% 🤣
Brilliant video! Keep up the good work 😊
Great video. Thanks
Glad you liked it!
Brilliant I can’t wait to get my Tesla thanks for the information
Have fun!
Really nice video unfortunately it's getting very expensive to buy one as the increased prices all the time.
Thanks.
I leased mine through my business so was able to save money on taxes etc.
did you put your boots in the boot or did you have to give them the boot?
🤣
Can you go through what paperwork you needed to take the car and yourselves into the EU please.
Great video btw. :)
Thanks Clive, it's everchanging but I believe you now need a UK sticker rather than a GB sticker, no longer need a green card and Covid rules have been relaxed. Best to check the latest yourself before you travel 👍
No problems using the travel adapter with the granny charger? No heating up, etc?
Only used it the once and it was absolutely fine
Lol 🤣
I'm not sure about european rentals, you'll have to check with the rental firms I guess 🤷♂️
Glad you enjoyed the video 👍
Very good video. Well done.
Glad you liked it!
Why did you have to put a GB on your trunk/boot? Is this a law?
@@robert5008 It's safe in Europe, never been an issue on the countless road trips i've done over the years.
People getting out of cars as you're about to drive past the vehicle has always been a bug bear of mine.
Nice trip
Nice video. Have the same car 🙂
Great video!!!
Thank you!!
Man casually dropped a Messi debut in a Tesla roadtrip video.
😅
1 year old video and GB stickers? Those aren't valid, must have UK stickers or on the number plate now.
Although having just got back from a trip ourselves, it seems that many Brits didn't bother to check or didn't think it applied to them.
Just to correct you. The video was uploaded on April 2022 so obviously filmed the summer before ... 2021 when GB stickers were the order of the day.
@@rickontesla Thanks, I did wonder. I still saw plenty of GB stickers or none at all last week so clearly plenty of Brits still aren't aware or don't care about the changes.
I will add that we had a fab trip, so relaxing and have already booked one to Italy next year. :)

Excellent Tesla tip.
Incredible lol 😂
Nice :)
Good video, but why do you insist on not supplying the charging cost, every blinking video does the same....so bloody annoying 🤬🤬
It's in the video at 17:47 - I had free supercharger miles and just needed a £1.85 supercharge on the way home
Going on a long trip with a Tesla means the Holiday start at home and will end at home. Have a nice time.😊
We want more trips
Me too! 🙂
Imagine doing it in a Porsche Taycan or similar? Would have been a nightmare.
Except for the part that you’d have actual driving enjoyment with the Porsche, rather than driving an appliance.
Charge charge charge 🤦
Probably better than running out of charge with your family abroad 🤣🤣🤣
Sticker on back of car should be UK not GB new rules after brexit...
Why would your wife want a safety feature turned off ? Bizarre.
I guess because it was a little erratic and embarassing to her.
I would argue that coming to a full stop increases risk of getting rear ended. And is using autopilot really necessary in low speed zone?
If you turn off Automatic Emergency Braking, the car will turn it back on every time you drive. It is always on, the off button is only for the current drive.
Economy car ride and no CarPlay = No way.
V3 has a lot more capacity and will most likely never see you lose time or much charging speed.)
When at V2 charge your charge speed is only affected by the person to either your left or right, if you share the same number and use A and B, so what you are saying doesn't make a lot of sense.
Thanks for your comment but I think you might take charging a wee bit more seriously than me 🤣
Personally, I'm not going to try and get my car down to 5% battery whilst on a point to point family road trip. What a disaster it would have been if I'd have run out.
I charged at sensible points, for example when we had spare time in the evening at Heathrow so we didn't have to charge the next morning on the way to Dover.
All the best 🙂
