You're standing alone for channels about general PA info. Thanks so much for stepping outside the Philly walls with info about PA as a whole!! We're looking at central PA probably Columbia County) for retirement in a few years and are thirsty for the info. Thanks again!

Living right next to PA for the past 40 years - in town, and rarely turned on my a/c in NJ - I moved to PA this summer - on a heavily wooded lot. Thought I was going to die - thought I was in Florida. No one could put in an a/c for over a month but at least I'm ready if it happens again next year. :-) I love PA - owned property in the state for decades and finally moved in full time after 70 years.

Here in Lansdale, originally from Florida. I honestly don't see the drawback of community events vs. no night llife. I like the limited night life with a vibrant family friendly atmosphere and community events. There is always something family friendly every weekend. They even give everyone a community events booklet for the month. Shows, book swaps, game clubs, community classes , festivals, market, bands, and circuses. There is also a bunch of beautiful nature parks, ponds, streams, and lakes. I also don't appreciate you missing the opportunity to speak about the configuration of communities here. All the manufacturing plants and facilities close to nice suburban areas. Lots of folks can work where they live, care for their homes, and have a great mix of close by modern conveniences with country values.

Where is the best place to live in Philadelphia if you own a car?

If you own a car, every neighborhood is great. If you didn’t own a car, that might limit the available neighborhoods, a very little bit. The public transit is very accessible within the city.

Chestnut Hill is beautiful. Roxborough/Manayunk and parts of mt airy are fun. If you don’t have to live in the city itself, but near, I like Narberth.

Nobody ever talks about Harrisburg. Pittsburgh and Philadelphia are always in the spotlight lol

The big drawback is the weather. Try living in California with its great weather and get taxed to death.

Zero tax is even better but only eight states have it.

Yes but typically, those states make up the “no income tax” in other ways.
