My reason is to searching suburbs of Philadelphia. A big chunk of that is is it only 30 minutes in the Philadelphia. Or to get to Philadelphia. I'm guessing most of these towns are within the 30 minute to 40 minute range if not way less as far as outside the city

CA San diego native, looking to move bc of taxes and cost of living (1 bed 1 bath apt here in San diego is around $2,200- $4,500 a month not including utilities, and I live about 45 mins away from downtown so this is a cheap price for rent). My boyfriend and I both work full time with above minimum wage jobs and are struggling just to make ends meet. I make like $38k a year before taxes, so good luck living in your car if you think you can live off of $24k😂

How close, would my home be to New Hope; because, I like artsy things, antiques, folk music, stain glass, etc. Then, the second, most important would be, the style of the house: Farm House, with one or two acres of land; Or a Victorian House, with stain glass windows, crown moldings and vibrant wooden details. (Yes, I would be open, to a Townhouse with a finished basement ...ok and elevator ) Of course, my materials, would be either brick or stone. I would, have a home inspection; ( especially electrical, foundation, Radon and roof ). All the best Shaun of NYC

Sorry, Pennsylvania does not get hot and sweaty. Try living anywhere else in the United States like Virginia. The Carolinas, Texas Pennsylvania has the best climate.

PA is so much better then its neighbor Maryland.

We love all the trolley suburbs. The trains are great.

I’ve lived all over the east coast but I was born in New York and live in philly now. I love both. New York offers way more but it’s also a much more inconvenient place to live. With philly you still get the walkable environments and great food without paying a premium, tho you sacrifice nightlife and it’s also significantly more dangerous. Also New York has a much better job market, but Phillys isn’t bad per se

Good accurate facts about Yardley (pop.2500) its clean and crime free, but whats unique is it borders the Delaware river, has a lake in the center of town, and canal state park running thru it.

I lived there from the age of five until 17. The school system was pretty good, I miss Lansdale day over at Memorial Park with the cannons and breakfast at the local diner up Broad Street north… Also love the parades back then. They were always great, and they went through the center of town, and everyone came. I would say it’s probably one of the best little towns you could live in with little kids and raise them. Used to be very safe there.
