To understand The Equalizer 2, you have to see The Equalizer 1. Both movies are fantastic. This is Denzel's "Action Hero" franchise. He paired up with Antoine Fuqoa the director of hits like Training Day, The Replacement Killers, Brooklyn's Finest, Olympus Has Fallen and many more. It was Antoine's idea to make a franchise for Denzel. This is loosely based of the 80's TV show The Equalizer.
Former CIA wetwork agent (he killed ppl) but decided to lead a normal life, or attempt to. Now he assists the downtrodden, watch both films they are pretty good

Not true, the fighting style He used was a Navy Seal Combat training, notice the guys attack one by one, that made it easier. The Navy Seal stunt man on set, who trained Mr. Washington, showed how easy it is to take out 5 attackers.....

Keith Woulard was the ex Navy Seal on the first film and you could see a lot of his influence in that film. He was busy while they were filming the second one so the fights are kind of martial artsy but still entertaining tho

Not a CIA Operative - he's a former Marine attached to the DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency). The main difference between the two agencies is:
CIA conducts foreign undercover ops, collects info relevant to US national security, and compiles all that info in a package that the President and his Cabinet can use in the decision making process for actions related to national security.
DIA is entirely military based intel on foreign MILINT, troop strength, movement, strengths, weakness, diplomatic and policy changes. They're more autonomous than the CIA and act directly under the Department of Defense. It's very high level - and typically provides all the info elite units like MARSOC and SEAL use for mission planning.
The Euualizer is about standing up for those who can't stand up for themselves and taking action that's what's he all about.

Definitely, recommend seeing the first Equalizer movie which I enjoyed more than the second one but the Equalizer 2 is also great.

I just watched this movie yesterday, it was pretty good, I liked the first one too.
Yes...it is a grear movie....saw it in cinemas 3 months ago....never seen the first one...but this one is great!!!!!
it is very possible to take on four people by yourself, however there are a lot of variables you have to take in to account. They are on cocaine which means that you can't just hurt them with punches and kicks. Their sense of pain is deadened therefore you need to be more violent to accomplish what you are intending to do whether that be either kill them or subdue them. you'll notice though that most of the people in that fight were left alive other than maybe the guy with the broken neck lol. He did that by breaking and dislocating shoulders, elbows and knees. The one guy he blew out his ACL, then broke his neck. and notice how he didn't just take all four on at the same time he went through them one at a time. It is very possible to do what he did, however it takes years of practice and understanding of how your own body works. Fighting is more than just punching and kicking, it's knowing where to hit, while also taking in your own ability of stamina, strength, lung capacity, and understanding of anatomy. also the guy that got his neck broke is probably the guy that was on cocaine therefore it would be much harder to stop him due to him not being as sensitive to pain. Although a broken neck is hard to not notice unless you're on LSD or something, but at that point you lose completely control of your mind anyway lol.

Equalizer stands up for people who are in trouble an when justice ain't served
Both Equalizer movies are based on the 1980's TV show with the same plot. An ex-CIA operative roams the streets helping good and decent people (who have been wronged) by leveraging his espionage and wetwork skills. This is why Denzel Washington's character appears almost invincible and one step ahead of the bad guys in each movie. The reason he "times" his actions is because efficiency is critical in the spy game.
The last fight is awesome.....❤❤❤❤

You do have to watch this movie. There are some really powerful scenes completely carried by Denzel.
Denzel in the interview describe his character as O C D so him setting his watch reading the area . He's trying to figure out what he's going to do first and who he's going to go after first and what he's going to use first what he's going to do things in that order . in the military they want things done with a certain amount of time he has this military mind frame so every time he do something he always times himself doing it . This is a happit that most O C D have .

You should really watch The Equalizer first, and then The Equalizer 2. Both are excellent. Highly trained people (CIA, Navy Seals etc) absolutely could do this to untrained gym warriors, who think they're badass.
