I punched a girlfriend in the shoulder once. Even in the second I hated it and apologized over and over. But she'd hit me so many times. I bailed her out of jail for beating me. She broke my bedroom door trying to get to me once. She ripped through our screen window once just to get to me and hit me. After a year and a half of this crazy abusive shit I got hit by a car. I was in a wheelchair. I was buying us groceries and I tried to get us some healthy food and she for pissed and started hitting me in the chest and face. I reached over and punched her shoulder like I'd just seen a slugbug. Even as I did it I hated it. But just saying...that ended the relationship and I was much better for it. Still feel guilty though.

I just didn't really see it until the stars aligned when he couldn't recover from it. So now he has to get deployed where he could die, and then come home to utter chaos. Here's the sad part, he had enough of getting beat up, did nothing but simply grab her arm as she was trying to hit him with something. He never hit her, just made her unable to hurt him. But because his grip left tiny little bruises, he was the one that got arrested, and hit with the divorce costs. Didn't matter that he came out to the court with black eyes and lumps on his head. Because she got these tiny bruises from trying to break free from his grip, he was hit with all of it.
My own uncle was just playing his Xbox with his son. His ex-wife literally painted injuries on her face with makeup and framed him. Can you see where that went? Go on. Make sense of this. You make sense of the problem that men have to face because of opinions like yours.
