      Agreed Leopoldo, most are very hard to follow and don't list the tools and techniques used. I might actually be able to get mine done after watching this 🤞

    Thanks. Very Educational. You made it look easier than a Chilton manual says it is. Still, without a lift this would be a booger!

    Fastest way for you people. I just did it. Support motor
    Take front passenger wheel off, Undo belt off power steering pump, take off inner& outer tie rod as one piece, take brake caliper off and hang it up, take out passenger side axle, undo the motor mount and take it out (easy I promise), raise engine slightly and undo the two bolts on pump and it’s out. 2 hours or so in and out.

    Pro tip, get the power steering pump loose in the car. While it is loose in the car remove the pulley, you will be able to move the pulley out on its own and then the pump unit. Put back in same order, you will not have to move down any of the engine cradle.

      Wow great advice to get it out easy but I will still drop cradle it only takes 5 min and will make job much easier :)

      Have you used this technique? How hard is it to get the puller/installer on the puller with the pump mounted on the engine?

      Wont clear the frame to put the installer in

    • @tylerpeck7535
      @tylerpeck7535 3 года назад

      @@Denton-su6gy remove the pump from the engine first, so it is loose in the engine bay, then the pulley remover should fit, at least mine did.

    Hello, hey I have a 2012 Chevy Traverse LT trying to put the power steering pump on and I'm having the trouble that when I drop the subframe on the passenger side it's only going down two of the four in required to pull the power steering pump. Can you think of anything I could have done wrong?

    Great video, just curious was the pump replaced because it was leaking or was it actually have mechanical failure? I have a 2015 and noticed a leak starting on my floor, then my power steering started whining. My reservoir was bone dry, whine went away but thinking about how long I have before I need to replace the pump. You make it look easy, but I know it’s not.

      I just had to do one today on a 14 Enclave. I used dye in the fluid to find the leak. This one was leaking from the shaft seal where the pulley is. Hope maybe this will help!

    Remove the right side tie rod from the spindle and it will save you having to Rubics Cube the pump out.
