Thank you for the honest review
Most of the manufacturers are avoiding the middle weight category
Not everyone need a superbike for an upgrade from 150CC , some do care for a reliable 250 and KTM is not everyones cup of tea.
The only bike that can change the game for the segment leader Gixxer 250 will be an updated FZ25
Really hoping Yamaha to bring some changes
    A 6-speed gearbox &
An aluminium swingarm and new suspension can make it the best seller in 250 cc

CBR250R is a sports tourer whereas CB300F is a city bike. It has a clear distinction. Since I own both the bikes now I can say both are in separate segments. I can say Honda has tried to do the same as what Yamaha has done with FZ25. Less stressed engine with loads of torque for city commute and occasional highway trips which looks like Jack of all trades situation. versatile machines!!!

@@Moonlight-hq3gi yeah both 0-60 and 0-100 this thing is a monster! I don't know who started saying this underpowered it is no way underpowered. In tractibility it's far better than KTMs 3-4gear 30-40 you easily move. KTMs will choke! But only thing that this lacks is the highway performance. But this bike can do more than average highway performance because of very comfortable seats and 300cc displacement. But the cruising speed could have been better. Just slightly. But we can't get everything perfect in one bike the compramise depends on purpose.
But the hate that this bike is getting is totally un deserved

I just have one question, do you really think even if Honda brings back CBR250R, they’ll price it low? And all the people asking for CBR250r will go and buy that when they price it nearing to 3L 🤷🏻‍♂️. It has been discontinued for a reason of not making sales figures after it was been compared to same motorcycles at that price point. So crying bring back CBR doesn’t make any logical sense.

When good bikes like cbr250r were available people felt it was overpriced and no one bought it so they had to wind up the sales and discontinue it. They attempted to relaunch in 2019 again with BS4 version but even then sales was not picking up. So again Honda decided to discontinue it totally. Now when we see all the KTM, Bajaj, Yamaha and TVS offerings we regret we don't have CBR250R. It was way ahead of its time. I own a CBR250R 2015 model. I still go for long rides. No other bike can give the big bike feel than the CBR250R.

@@digitalsidequest yes they don't have any 250 cc segment bikes any more. They only have CBR300R, CB300F. Recently I bought the Honda CB300F. I would say the character of CBR250R is still there in this bike but misses the fairing and is tuned for city riding. If they come with faired version of CB300F then it would be a good replacement for CBR250R.

I think Honda has a good call. There are no city based light weight 300ish cc bike for 2.75L OR. The RR310 is a brilliant bike for this price(nearly) but then some won't prefer a fairing. The 390 then comes to mind but now you shell out almost 3.5L for it. So I think they have nailed it for a niche and might sell a few numbers. There are a lot of Honda fanboys as well.

The bike is soo much capable from 0 to 120. I don't go further after 120 or 130. This is a gem and at this price, there is no competition. This bike is giving me 40kmper litre mileage. Its insane for 300cc bike.if you want to just cruise on highway and you have enough time to reach on the destination then keep the bike in 55-60 and then it will give 48kmpl mileage. • @videorascals

Buying a bike is always a emotional and personal choice. Write down what are your requirements in a piece of paper. A few factors to consider Power (can I cruise at 100 kmph all day), City riding dynamics (is it nimble around the city without any engine heating issues), service network (can I rely on the ASC if there is a major engine issue during ownership), quality of parts used (can the bike look the same for ages without any parts rattling), price (is it in my budget), mileage (does it drink a lot of fuel) and maintenance (is it pocket friendly in long term). Get a test ride on both the bikes and check if it fits your requirements personally. Then come back to the list and then score them against your requirements. This would provide the bike you are looking for. Do not look at the spec sheet. Feel the bike and then decide. With Honda slashing the price to Rs 161,000 Ex-showroom now. It has become VFM. I did the same process to narrow down on my requirements and bought a Honda CB300F on Dec 28 2022.

@@videorascals correct but it seems like Honda is going to drop the product from its portfolio. That's the reason I'm worried about after sales service and spare parts. availability.

    • @videorascals
      @videorascals 2 года назад

@@biswaranjanpattanaya i am not sure if that's true but even it is dropped there is lot of parts sharing between cb300r and hornet 2.0 in this bike so spares won't be an issue. I had a conversation with the bigwing manager and he informed me that there might be a price correction in future and more products using the same engine without dropping this product from the portfolio. Only time will tell but since I already own a cbr250r which is already discontinued in the Indian market I am no stranger to spares unavailability. I don't find that much difficulty in finding spares so far.

@@videorascals the BigWing showrooms are just cosmetic changes in terms of look and feel of the showroom. Otherwise the staff is very very poorly informed about Honda or for that matter bikes in general. I know I'm being very harsh but there's no better way to put it. Honda should've done some efforts in CB300F rather using Hornet platform. I mean why should someone spend 2 Lakhs+ if you can buy exactly same bike with few less horses at ~70k-80k less🤣🤣. Same thing happened in Maruti's case maruti launched later version of maruti alto 800 and alto K10. Both the cars were almost-almost same just extra space here and there and some cosmetic changes. So many people bought 800 and some barely some people bought K10. And later K10(old) was discounted

Do you think our indian roads are safe beyond 80 kmph speeds?. I doubt it. So what is the point in having all the bells and whistles to unleash speed on such roads. A cow or dog suddenly getting into our way can result in a serious accident on the highway. There is no point of higher CC if we can't use the full potential. I feel a 250CC or 300 CC with a less stressed engine is more than adequate for Indian roads. It all boils down to the compression ratio of the engine. The higher the compression ratio the engine is stressed, produces a lot more heat and needs to be cooled with advanced liquid cooling systems.
