I have been sticking to super basic. The only lures I use now are topwater. Haven't tried floating flies yet, but fish eat bugs on the water surface, so it should work. I haven't used them because I haven't seen fish lately jumping for bugs on the surface. Sticking to 4 basic rigs. A standard hook with a split shot, I can jig in 1 spot or swim the soft plastic in the water. A dropshot, a bobber with 12 to 16 lines with a baitholder hook tied to the main line on a 7-inch leader. A baitholder hook 7 inch leader tied to main line with a split shot a 1/4 inch above where main line ties to leader line. With either live worms, finess worms, mullet colored or natural colored fluke. Trout eggs or creyfish. This has been working great for me. With these simple setups, I've been catching more fish. 😊
Catfish are similar to pickerel in the south because when you’re fishing for bass and a catfish thumps your lure you don’t know what it is and you think its a 10 pounder when it’s really a 5 pound catfish.
@@Tackle2thePeople goddamn it you are a people's person. I knew there was a reason to follow you. I got a private freshwater lake down in Middleboro where the bass biting on anything you throw in the water. If you want some off grid fishing holler at me brother
Hey if you venture out to wachusett there's another pond not too far from there in Rutland, long pond but not the main body, go off fisherman's road. Nice 5-7s in there
Can u try bank fishing Longfellow pond in Newton area I think I can’t find the spots and need good spots in Newton Lower Falls or within 15 minutes I’m 0/5 on good spots rn
Can I assume you like your Tuctek kayak?? How long have you had it and is it holding up well? Have you done a review video on it because I almost bought one
Was wondering the same thing. Not only the wind but just me casting and working my bait is getting me all turned around super frustrating. The cheap 1lb anchor that came with the tucktek SUCKS! Need to up grade but yea rock should work till then.
I'd only use the folding ones liike this is water like this. Never a moving body of water or too far out. Not this specific kayak but I've seen 2 others pop open while being used. Scary and costly if you lose your gear or if you're using it hunting. Instead of a folding I'd get one of those sectional ones. They seem much more sturdy and they clasp closed much more sturdy. This one isn't that bad but still...I'd buy something else myself. Maybe even find a good used one at 400 bucks. IDK, not trying to crap on this company or anything by any means. Just saying I think these are sketch.
If you wanna get scientific here, then the Pickerell is in the genius Esox and that genius is titled pikes So technically, it is a pike, but it is called a chain pickerel
hey man, i’m having real trouble catching anything. i aim towards bass but can’t even catch anything, my most recent video covers my trouble. id appreciate some advice from an experienced fisher, i’m on long island ny.

I love how dark that largie was. I’m from GA and from what I have seen ours are lighter in color.
Hi, do you use sinkers while lure fishing for trout? Im going to give lure fishing a try since it looks so much faster to catch fish in your videos.
Don't use sinkers the lures will either float or will sink themselves
400 chaparal

I’d LOVE to have pickerel here in Vegas. Small, super aggressive fish that eat almost anything? Sign me up.
More full lengthers... keep them coming.
Love the kayak, just curious do you recommend the 8ft or 10ft for fishing?
i would get 10 ft just more room for gear in the kayak
What are prices for the 8 and 10 fters?

It can get up there depending on the type of season we have. Usually are around 65-75 degrees. - From a central ma fisherman
I'm in MA and just got a tucktec myself, what kind of aftermarket upgrades do you recommend? I have the 8ft version.

I bought one it's great except for the seat
How do you avoid getting pushed by the wind while kayak fishing? Thanks
Just make an anchor ⚓️ i use a 50ft paracord and find a good rock along the bank to tie up to it. Works great 👍keeps me steady in the same spot
I bought a kayak anchor on Amazon for $20 it’s pretty nice
Was wondering the same thing. Not only the wind but just me casting and working my bait is getting me all turned around super frustrating. The cheap 1lb anchor that came with the tucktek SUCKS! Need to up grade but yea rock should work till then.
Great kayak for the price. Others spent 3x the price to get exactly what I have in this floater.
