Agreed. I found out about Maylene in like 2009 when my good friend got a gig as their touring drummer (he’s now their full time drummer Jon) I was amazed by their stage shows and Dallas was great live (and still is) I was so bummed to hear what happened to him, but this comeback is incredible

@@johnyoungjr.9746 I’m pretty sure that’s around the time I got into them. I was in 9th grade or so and saw them play with whitechapel at canal club in Richmond. Still to this day my favorite show I’ve ever been at.

There are a lot of bands in that category unfortunately. I bet it’s in the 1000s.
They were back between 07-09 , they need to get on some tours with some bigger bands
they are with my specific age group, every one of my buddies knows and likes them but not sure if many other generations know about southern hardcore.

Granted...all of their songs are fuckin amazing! I was freaked out when Dallas got in that accident and then I saw that interview he did right after, and the brain damage was just sad, like how slow he was forming sentences, I was scared AF that we had lost an incredible vocalist, a fuckin legend, so to see him back makes me so fuckin happy lol

Oh yeah, I loved Underoath back then and still do now. But let’s face it, they aren’t the same at all without Taylor. That being said I wouldn’t ever want to see him leave Maylene and the Sons of Disaster.
