How does a band just NEVER SUCK? Norma Jean needs to hold classes so other bands would stop releasing crap. Their new album just grabs you by the throat from the beginning track "1994" and never lets up. So hyped to be seeing them TONIGHT!!!! Can't wait.
The album is just another unique piece of music history. Textures, rawness, emotional carnage, passionate art. It is just sooo good to be able to hear something that honest with great sense of urgency.
If you want I'll scream into a microphone for 4 minutes and sell it to you. I'll even make it sound urgent, artsy and all that stuff. I think it will be good for your emotional regulation, I promise.
@@Ben86511 Honestly, there is much more than that. Most of the metalcore vocalists are screaming, but Cory has that emotional urgency, that i can hear rarely in other vocalists. The vocals on Redeemer are just emotional carnage and apart from other NJ albums and first two Slipknot albums, i can´t recall any kind of album with the same intensity on vocals.
The crazy part is there are no original members left. Cory has really carried this band to the max. I loved the 1st album, don't get me wrong. But every album after just kept getting better and better. Norma Jean is hands down my favorite band.

The lyrics here seem awfully specific to not in some way be in defense of himself in that situation.

It’s amazing how many bands change their sound completely different, whether over the years, due to member changes, or sometimes both, but in this instance, even with both, Norma just has had their own sound that hasn’t drastically changed at all over the years. It’s a sound that really is i instantly recognizable, no matter whether it’s newer or older music, you can just hear it and go “yup, that’s Norma for sure”.
I live every Norma Jean album since Redeemer. They are second to none. But i have never seen anything like the first 3 singles released so far. This is next level. I cant wait for this to drop!
They've come through my town twice in Spokane WA. Once in some dude's back yard in dogtown Hillyard as a 'fuck it we'll play here between Seattle and Boise last min' on their Wrongdoers tour. And the other on the 20th anniversary of Redeemer where they played the record front to back in a dive bar downtown. Fucking legendary. Monsters.
Been blasting NJ ever since they were still Luti-Kriss and I have zero regrets. It's magical and just keeps getting better and better, heavier and heavier with each passing record. Dang, boys!
Cory’s vocal performance on all of the choruses in this album is so unique. And I love the new choking scream that he incorporates into a few of the breakdowns. ❤️
Funny, the first time I ever heard one of those "choking" screams was by none other than Josh Scogin when norma Jean was starting out as Luti-Kriss. Go look up "Light Blue Collar" and wait for the breakdown. He learned from the master!!

I have never heard a band that is this consistently mind-blowing and face melting. The level of happiness and emotional content I have right now is honestly beyond words. Killing words or otherwise. They have never made a bad song. That isn't something I have never said about any other band. Bar none, Norma Jean are the greatest metal band of all time.

A friend of mine tried to get me into norman jean like 20 years ago when i began my descent into the depths of heavier metal as i was already brought up on stuff like pantera, korn, deftones, biohazard, anthrax, sepultura etc.. they werent as melodic as id liked or as id look for at the time, was more into killswitch, as i lay dying, August burns red, norma jean seemed super raw and thrashy in the early 2000s… they’ve definitely gotten alot more melodic over the years i cant wait to give more of their stuff a listen again and see what other gems ive missed out on.. awesome breakdowns guys i feel like i was just on a rollercoaster getting whiplash. Still manages to keep that tight downtuned raw original sound though. Amazing 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

A couple years ago, something reminded me of Norma Jean when I hadn't even thought about them or heard them since The Anti Mother(2008) an album I wasn't crazy about but it had a few tracks I liked. So I check their Spotify and I see they're still making music. Thats cool. Lemme check out All Hail real quick. HOLY FUCK. It was particularly jarring for me going over a decade without hearing them. I can't believe the sound that they've crafted, the identity they've solidified. It's fucking incredible and this album furthers their amazing evolution
Pretty good. Pretty pretty good. This band and Zeal and Ardor are making the most exciting music in this genre. I like that their choruses are either hard or impossible to discern upon initial listens, reminds me of Mars Volta in this regard. The choruses. when they are identified, are organic in nature.

The riff slaps, its like the heaviest of the last album with the clarity of polar similar mixing wise. the last album was so sludgey the riffs got buried. love this whole album. All Hail Norma Jean!
