  • Once rowing technique is mostly dialed in, the next best way to get better is to get stronger. One movement, which is also a popular one, is to squat. Check out this video where I go over why you should squat, how to do it, and how to incorporate it with your rowing workouts.

    Always good to focus on the basics, the foundational moves and form. Thanks for acknowledging that bodies and abilities/circumstances are different, and to start from where people are. For example, there's no way my squats will be that deep to start - or maybe ever - for a number of reasons (hip, ankle, knee) but that doesn't mean I can't get benefit. And I can try moving my feet in or out a little to see what difference it makes. I also appreciated your suggestion for coaching to check form, and saying that programs would be different depending on goals. Thanks for doing this!
