You are probably right, but I kind of see sauvage as just a compliment perfume, not much more I kind of see Bleu as the steady incline as it gets better and many see it’s depth But still both really great
I totally agree with your opinion. I feel that with the 2020 batch, EDT has become much weaker and the gap has widened even more, while EDP remains strong, fresher and even easier to wear.
EDP is stunning, that sweet nutmeg vanilla dancing off the spicy blue notes. More refined sweeter Sauvage for the winter. In fact, it's probably how the brash loud original should have been made. EDP far more balanced.
I legit never have smelled vanilla or nutmeg in mine. A hint of mapper maybe. But mostly, it just give a really clean shower gel effect. Love it tho. Been rocking it way more than my elixir lately, although I wore elixir today..
This one most definitely has the most Lavender in it. The star anise and nutmeg make it the most masculine. Once I smelled the parfum I thought it was an amped up version of the EDP. Which it is to an extent but the EDP probably projects more. Got rid of it but decided it was actually my favorite and made a trade to get it back. The most versatile and masculine of the line.
I’ll check it out when I run out of my EDT. I love it. Compliments all day! Everyone may have worn it back then, but I don’t know anyone that wears this.

@@ryanlunzen9794 From my experience Sauvage is not all that common. Sure it's popular but I feel the fragrance community's perception of Sauvage's popularity is overblown. I still smell Le Male and Acqua Di Gio way more often than Sauvage over the past 4 years.

The EDP is beautiful, more versatile tbh, I have worn it in college without worrying about nuking the entire classroom, 1 spray behind each ear. I've noticed girls like to get closer to me when I wear this haha, it's epic. I have the edt also, I use that if I'm outdoors or if I'm in a large place, like a supermarket
the dry down on this is something special. I prefer the EDT opening, but the EDP after about an hour or two comes alive. I get a prominent vanilla creaminess that makes it a bit more seductive while maintaining that freshness.

Spot on with your rant about how people have such a hard time appreciating what they have in front of them, and 15 years from now they are wishing they knew what they had and appreciated so much more. Never fails..."You never know what you have until it's gone"
Never smelled sauvage until yesterday at sephora. The only tester they had was the EDP. And it was effing fantastic. Some of you saying the EDT is better makes me wonder how could it get any better.
The edp and parfum version are trying too hard to be something they aren't to my nose. If I want class or maturity in a scent, the Sauvage dna is the last place I'd look for it.
I feel like the edp succeeds in being a classier version of the edt. It's still too fresh to be considered a classy fragrance, so I agree with you in that sense. The parfum could've pulled it off tho, if the performance wasn't horrible.
Got the EDP when I was getting into fragance... Year later I just give it to my brother. Since my collection got bigger, Sauvage got way more boring... but it's fine fragance.
Sauvage is just a must have to have in a collection. no matter how boring or old it gets. Same as creed aventus I own it but get bored sometimes it’s just a must have

I am wanting to sample the Parfum though.
The parfum is closer to the edp with a more mature, darker smell and more leather and vanilla notes. It also lasts a little longer and in my experience actually projects more.
Edp is definitely my favorite. Got rid of my EDT cause it was a bit too loud and made my girl nauseous. So I bought several bottles of the edp. I had a sample of the parfum. It's ok but sits close to skin. Edp projects and last forever for me and it less abrasive than edt imo. And it's probably my most complimented fragrance.

@@aarshsaraiya3654 My batch is from june 2021 (1F04) and the performance is terrible. I believe it's my worst performing fragrance, and that's saying something. The one edp (which I own) is a beast compared to my sauvage edp bottle... even AHS edition blanche has strong performance if oversprayed compared to sauvage edp (which doesn't perform even overspraying). I don't know what to do with my sauvage edp 100ml bottle. It's a shame.
I own and love both the EDT & EDP. Where I live, humid & warm dominates the weather, so love me some EDT. The smell of the EDP, though, gets me every time. It's addictive. Just on smell alone, EDP is where it's at.
Great review on a fantastic fragrance . Ash the one edt by D&G was my biggest let down with reformulation that will not preform at all after initial blast ,it is $80 in Australia . On the other hand this Cristian Dior savage works and will be a legend fragrance that will go down in history as you mentioned. Thanks bro
I bought the parfum version before I knew much about fragrances. I've never smelled the other two. I love the scent of the parfum though. It LASTS Forever on me.
I don't care what anyone says! Sauvage EDP is my baby for life! The Parfum is a close second. Sauvage gets a bad rap because of the EDT and I have to agree. I just dont care for it at all because its so obnoxious and metallic.
First time I used it I sprayed four sprays and 20 minutes later went into the store. I choked out the customer next to me. He was gaging and running away. Lol. It'll get you noticed for shur.
I have one question the Eau de Parfum is have you think it work better in the summer or spring because I spread on today and right now it’s winter right now
I dont know if someone will answer my question but i did bought this parfum in 2018/2019 and i still have the same parfum till this day never made it empty so can i still use it after al those years?? It smells still strong and citrus ect
Sauvage edp is said to be reformulated in 2019. Does anyone know the detailed information and what month it changed? I have 2020 september batch edp and its performance is very poor...
I get a nice masculine lavender note from my bottle, in addition to the other notes you mentioned. Maybe it's just certain batches? I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned.
Spray savauge edt and luna rosa carbon on each hand and without telling anyone what they're smelling, I guarantee 8/10 people will choose carbon. Its wayyy nicer than savauge and that's a biased opinion cause although I own both, i dont wear either of them lol
Got batch 1D01 from my local dept store. Lasted no more than a few hours and projection was below average. My 8B08 EDT is also a watered down bit of trash. The only Sauvage I own that gives any sort of performance is the new Elixer.
My batch code is IF04 and I believe that is lasts less than Dior Homme Sport. I don't know what happened with Sauvage EDP, but my L'homme from YSL is a beast compared to it (no joke - and no, I'm not going nose blind, I tested it). I hope the terrible performance of this batch has to do with production issues or something, because if that's the performance the fragrance will have from now on, it's impossible to recommend it to anyone (and unfortunately I bought a 100ml bottle from EDP). For anyone who owns an old version of the EDT (like I do), which is a beast, I'd recommend saving it if possible because I'm concerned new batches might not hold the same performance (for any concentration). I bought a backup bottle of elixir because I love it (both smell and performance wise) just in case something happens in the future and it gets reformulated.
@@DJAtom even versace pour homme, l'homme, the one edp and other fragrances considered "weak" outperform my sauvage edp bottle by far, especially if I overspray them on clothes... my sauvage edp doesn't perform even overspraying my clothes. I had a 100ml of the EDT and a sample of the EDP and I found myself preferring the EDP every time. I actually just got a bottle of the EDP so this is perfect lol
I wore both Sauvage EDT and EDP in my trip to Vietnam/Cambodia. It didn’t do all that well. 🤷♂️ No one noticed, or even bothered to give it any attention. But oddly enough, I had a ton of compliments when I wore Y EDP. 😒
I’m kinda biased when it comes to the Y line. I completely love Y EDP. It’s actually better than Sauvage EDT/EDP and Parfum put together. But a lot of people have mentioned Y EDP leans on the sweeter side, so keep that in mind.
I've ordered mine today. 200ml for 107€ (~124$). I will see if it's worth the money or not. His opponents: Tom Ford Ombré Leather (100ml) Armani Acqua di Gio Profumo (125ml) Versace Eros EdP (100ml) Armaf Club the Nuit Intense Man EdP (200ml) & The one and only Halloween Man X (50ml) 😂😅
All the other feragrances you mentioned have brutal performance compared to my batch of sauvage edp, unfortunately (and no, I'm not going nose blind... I own sauvage EDT and it lasts and projects like crazy).
I don’t get it. Maybe I got a bad copy or something but I really think Sauvage EDT is bad. It’s headache giving, too powerful and just too synthetic. Not for me. Gonna sell my bottle asap unfortunately.

Correct. Some reviewers talk about this like it’s a totally different scent. It’s still a loud, synthetic ambroxan and pepper scent. Anything that’s “smoother” or “more elegant” is only in relation to the EDT not other scents.
I must just have a "bandwagon" nose. Like to me, what I honestly think are 2 of the best ever scents is Mont Blanc Explorer and this one in this video. Sauvage EDP. How come not many say that Sauvage smells exactly like Versace Dylan Blue? For a bit it smells identical.

@@davidblaine2669 are you sure it wasn't nose blindness? Did you ask someone after 2 hours or so?
Thanks bro
I had the same problem with Light Blue. D&G ruined this fragrance
Own 200ml of both along with the Elixir, must haves for my collection for sure.
I bought the parfum version before I knew much about fragrances. I've never smelled the other two. I love the scent of the parfum though. It LASTS Forever on me.
The parfum smells amazing
EDP and Parfum are the best from the line and Elixir
undoubtedly, edp is more elegant and put together one. for high class taste.
Awesome video Ash! Was never a big Sauvage fan, always preferred Carbon. Be well! 👍
Is the edp less soapy than the edt, i noticed the soapiness comes out more when its humid out for the edt
Imo it is less soapy
@@vairoxx4031 thanks, i try to bring it up to people but they don’t understand, I appreciate it
Have you gotten the edp yet?
@@jeppemadsen2497 no im waiting another month to get it, going for my second bottle of Bleu edp
I don't care what anyone says! Sauvage EDP is my baby for life! The Parfum is a close second. Sauvage gets a bad rap because of the EDT and I have to agree. I just dont care for it at all because its so obnoxious and metallic.
Same I have have edt and parfum version but not tried the edp yet.
Will the smell stick on your clothes for several days? That's the type of cologne I'm looking for. Referring to the EDP. Thinking about buying
Yep, you won't be disappointed
Bleu de Chanel parfum is king! Can’t wait to get it!
I get a nice masculine lavender note from my bottle, in addition to the other notes you mentioned. Maybe it's just certain batches? I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned.
Great video thank you 👍🏻
Kingfisher bergamot body wash is a nice complement that blends well with this cologne.
Spray savauge edt and luna rosa carbon on each hand and without telling anyone what they're smelling, I guarantee 8/10 people will choose carbon. Its wayyy nicer than savauge and that's a biased opinion cause although I own both, i dont wear either of them lol
Nope... Carbon smells super Nice, but sauvage is more powerfull, i own dyllan blue, Pfdm percival etc and I adore the dna but sauvage is The goat
Got batch 1D01 from my local dept store. Lasted no more than a few hours and projection was below average. My 8B08 EDT is also a watered down bit of trash. The only Sauvage I own that gives any sort of performance is the new Elixer.
My man if sauvage edp isnt enough for you then i dont know what is
My batch code is IF04 and I believe that is lasts less than Dior Homme Sport.
It's actually hard to find an ocasion to wear it because of the terrible performance, no joke.
Noseblind
EDP version is last longer & smell solid than EDT.... 🔥
I had a 100ml of the EDT and a sample of the EDP and I found myself preferring the EDP every time. I actually just got a bottle of the EDP so this is perfect lol
Have you got one of the newer batches of EDP and does it perform well?
EDP for me. It’s great. But the best blue fragrance or most complimented? Oh idk about that
The most overhyped yeah, definitely not the best lol
Is the pride of Armaf more like the edt or the edp?
It's closer to edp about 80-90%
Do you reckon his kept all his fragrance boxes?
Just because edt outperforms per sales don't mean it's better could be just because it's cheaper , cheaper things usually tend to sell more
Personally I spray EDT & EDP it gives me the vintage EDT pre reformulation scent.
1.) EDP & EDT.
2.) ELIXIR
3.) PARFUM.
The Elixer is obnoxious.
Bond #9 Scent of Peace for him is like a pineapple version of Sauvage if you are looking for a higher end Sauvage replacement.
My favorite from the trio 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
It's redundant to have Sauvage EDP and Prada LR Carbon?
I wore both Sauvage EDT and EDP in my trip to Vietnam/Cambodia. It didn’t do all that well. 🤷♂️ No one noticed, or even bothered to give it any attention. But oddly enough, I had a ton of compliments when I wore Y EDP. 😒
Lol same here. I used three sprays
Hey.. In your opinion does Dior Sauvage smell better than ysl y edp?
I’m kinda biased when it comes to the Y line. I completely love Y EDP. It’s actually better than Sauvage EDT/EDP and Parfum put together. But a lot of people have mentioned Y EDP leans on the sweeter side, so keep that in mind.
Thank you. Then I will buy Y Edp for compliments and smell, because I had mixed feelings towards it and Sauvage.
No sweat! 👍🤜
This is a great fragrance 👍🏾. Let the haters hate while I continue to receive numerous compliments .
Agree let the haters hate 🤣🤣 while the ladies keep giving me compliments and making them weak in the knees!
Exactly
I've ordered mine today. 200ml for 107€ (~124$).
I will see if it's worth the money or not. His opponents:
Tom Ford Ombré Leather (100ml)
Armani Acqua di Gio Profumo (125ml)
Versace Eros EdP (100ml)
Armaf Club the Nuit Intense Man EdP (200ml)
&
The one and only Halloween Man X (50ml) 😂😅
Did you receive it. How is the fragrance. And can you give me the batch code.?
All the other feragrances you mentioned have brutal performance compared to my batch of sauvage edp, unfortunately (and no, I'm not going nose blind... I own sauvage EDT and it lasts and projects like crazy).
@KMV what is your batch code
@@kmw1175 which year did u buy the edt in?
U should check out the afnan line modest une, sauvage edt clone room exploder, amazing inspiration!
I have the edp and my fiancés dad has the edt. In my opinion I like the edp better but maybe it’s because I like the smoother scent.
Nah, I just sprayed Coach Platinum and it doesn't not even resemble Sauvage at all. Not the least bit.
Dior Ash : The King of Reviewers .
I don’t get it. Maybe I got a bad copy or something but I really think Sauvage EDT is bad. It’s headache giving, too powerful and just too synthetic. Not for me. Gonna sell my bottle asap unfortunately.
It is like that. The headache that you got is from the huge amount of ambroxan thats in it. The ambroxan also makes sauvage lasts forever on the skin.
I picked up the EDP last week. It's cool but Acqua Di Gio Profumo is miles ahead in my opinion.
Yep. Heard they discontinued ADG Profumo
@@shakenbake318 I heard the same thing. It is still widely available here through various retailers. I am not sure though how long that will remain the same.
I haven't felt the slightest desire to try Dior Sauvage. Cant even explain why. I'm sure I will at some point, but I'm not in any great hurry.
So could you pull the EDP off during summer/ high heat ??
He said EVERY season
Maybe the best oriental fougere of modern perfumery IMO.
Does dior sauavage edp reformulated? And when?
I don’t know why even I’m watching this video 😂😂 as i very well know what sauvage is and how i feel about it. I guess I just had to click on some frag review 😅
? And you need to mentioned that you're confused😂 don't know why 😂 drink a cup of coffee
Ash my guy, stop using that image for the bergamot because that is not bergamot :(
Here in Germany »Prada Luna Rossa Carbon« is so much more expensive than Dior Sauvage EdT. Yesterday I bought 200ml Sauvage für 102,95 € but you don't get 150ml Prada LRC under 100 €. Sauvage is so much cheaper per ml than Carbon.
how is it's performance so far? I heard it got reformulated and it's very weak compared to its predecessors.
@@pranitransur2799 At least 8 hours. In lower humidity 10 hours.
Well ima gonna say this . I own both and you can easily replace carbon with sauvage but I don’t really see how you can replace sauvage with carbon. Just my opinion lol.
Would like any suggestions have a list of fragrances I would like to purchase but what would you suggest to buy as a signature scent £150
Chanel Egoiste. It has an old school vibe, but it's fantastic! If want something a bit more recent, you have Moschino Toy Boy. Great, unique and classy scent (despite the bottle).
That's a shout egoiste not smelt either but heard toy boy is very loud and could be wrong in saying but has a rose note which is not what I fancy rocking been thing allure sport extreme for a while but put off with the reviews I have red
@@jondaly8092 It's not loud if you don't shower in perfume 😂 the rose note is what makes it classy. Why so affraid of florals? Are you affraid that someone will say that you smell like a woman?
😂 no mate I understand florals done well can still be masculine in my job after once again reviews toy boy could be loud yes I could tone it down I do appreciate your suggestion though what do wear day to day
Depends on your taste. You cam basically wear anything as your signature scent if you like it.
I have a tester of sauvage edp, i thought it was the edt, the edp is still an ambroxian bomb :P
Correct. Some reviewers talk about this like it’s a totally different scent. It’s still a loud, synthetic ambroxan and pepper scent. Anything that’s “smoother” or “more elegant” is only in relation to the EDT not other scents.
Sauvage EDP and Elixir are fantastic.
Try sauve the parfum from fragrance world if u get ur hands on it.
Extremely close to edp.
Spot on in 10 years from now people will be talking about the sauvage now so buy a couple of bottles and lock them away !!!
I must just have a "bandwagon" nose. Like to me, what I honestly think are 2 of the best ever scents is Mont Blanc Explorer and this one in this video. Sauvage EDP.
How come not many say that Sauvage smells exactly like Versace Dylan Blue? For a bit it smells identical.
feels bad i bought the parfum version on accident thinking it was the edp cause i didnt know that there was a parfum version
Fragrance rule number one I want whatever version performs performance performance performance what the point i want biggest bang for buck especially on fragrances 100 and up so even if the edp a little less harsh idc I want the one when u walk pass me u smell me other than that it’s no point MY OPINION
