Bought BDC edt on 2015. Sold it after half a bottle. Since then I've emptied a bottle of BDC EDP and recently parfum. Got around myself BDC edt 50ml again and loving it thus far, using it in the high heat. The drydown is magnificent. BDC EDP is the all rounder. But if you live in hot and humid climate like me, edt is the best bet.
This is a close match, I ended up choosing BDC since it’s a bit more refined. And as Ash stated, BDC is smoother. Sauvage is a projection beast, but on the dry down, it just doesn’t hold up
Do you think the EDT is still worth getting? I'm not that big into blue fragrances. And I'm about 2 years into this fragrance thing. The bluest fragrance I have is polo blue Parfum
@@Alritealritealrite Kinda a newbie too, try Acqua di Gio Profondo 2024 EDP. Get the EDP not the Parfum. Don't think it's redundant. Never blind but anything sample it if you can😎😎😎
I’ve been a huge frag head for many many years now and I actually just got Sauvage edt and I really like it lol. That ambroxen is 👍. So yes the Dior wins for me!
Sauvage edt or edp is just like lavender disinfectant solution. The scent is clean and fresh but it does not take away from my olfactory that they smell like that. I love the Elixir though. The bdc however have more character to it as a fresh scent.

Ash some of my favorite videos from you are the ones where you review peoples' collections. Can you start doing more of those types of videos in the near future?
I'm far more a Bleu De Chanel person and i'm not a big Savauge fan so for me it's all BDC and not even close. Scent is all that matters to me. So it wins on scent to me.
BDC smells better overall and Sauvage has better performance. So, which of those is more important to you will subjectively determine which of the two you'd prefer. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of either of them but neither is bad. If I had to choose one to be the best, BDC wins.
Hi Ashton love your videos as always. My top two fragrance i have in this order of all time as of current is Dior Sauvage Elixir and Dior Homme Parfum. They are almost tied but the Elixir just has that unique smell which is my favorite. Yes i have two brand new bottles of the Homme Parfum. One from Italy and the other from Switzerland since they are not sold in United States. Will be traveling soon so i may pick up a third bottle just in case. Great work as always.
Feel like bdc is the objectively better frag. Also, for these kind of rankings, you should weight different categories. I feel that something like presentation are not nearly as important as the other ones and how it smells (i.e. opening and drydown) is by far the most important factor
Bought Sauvage for the 1st time in August for my trip to Spain and …it’s a banger! It will be one I will always bring back to my collection I’m yet to try Bleu De Chanel but I will
This was interesting and I'd agree savauge edges it due to performance and that is what makes the majority keep buying it but the majority aren't people like us who own fragrance collections they are mostly the had a bottle as gift for Christmas or birthday and stuck with it and brought a new bottle again and again etc, so it doesn't surprise me that we your subscribers went for the quality of scent in bleu de chanel over the performance of savauge because we own other beast mode performing fragrances wheres the average member of the public who discovers dior savauge thinks the performance is a unique thing across the whole world of fragrance so they stick to it.
I like a more grown-up fragrance, so it's Bleu de Chanel for me (I have the Parfum). Sauvage Elixir is the only one I would buy, but it's a bit pricey.
I own Sauvage edp, Elixir, and BDC parfum. I only reach for the Elixir. From time to time I remember about BDC parfum and wear but rarely do. Sauvage EDP I don’t know where it’s at. So it’s been a few months since I last saw that bottle lol. I gotta go with the Elixir though.
I can’t stand sauvage edt, but I enjoy the edp and parfum. Not sure why the edt smells off on my skin. I enjoy all bdc but prefer the edp most with the parfum closely behind.
I like this type of colparison. Sauvage clearly wins in terms of performance. But in terms of smell, perceived quality, for me Bleu de Chanel is ahead. So this one get my vote
i like this video theme. actually FWIW, 3 years ago, it's this exact video format that got me hooked on fragrances. there's another youtuber called cubaknow who made a video some time back comparing dior sauvage EDT with prada luna rossa carbon. that video was freaking hilarious, and the rest is history.
Sauvage EDT. I used to love BDC, EDT & EDP but for some reason, my nose fell out with it. It not a bad fragrance at all, just don't care for it anymore. Still wear Sauvage EDT from time to time, so Sauvage for the win.
I got samples of both of these and hands down Dior sauvage is way better of a fragrance and it smells almost the same as BDC especially after it dries but after 5 hours I couldn't even smell BDC but I could still smell the Dior sauvage. But in my opinion when they dry they both smell like a cheaper version of Creed imperial
I liked this video, you should do more match ups and fragrance ‘battles’ for both designer and niche. Then at the end of the year, you could do a ranking list based on the results 👌🏼
