I had EDT and had compliments and loved it. Had EDP same thing - compliments and loved it. Now i wanna try Parfum - let’s see how it works. Which ever you get guys it will be good. Never regret a choice.
I heard EDT’s longevity is much shorter compared to EDP and Parfume. I first thought they all smelled the same with just different longevity. Now it’s much harder choice between scents and longevity. I mean if scent is my thing then I can just carry a travel size around or something. I want my scent to last all day. Do you have to spray once every few hours for the EDT? Idk if I can fit that big bottle into my bag or something lol.
Edp to me has the most unique scent out of all of them, it’s more compact, more balanced and sophisticated. It’s the concept what sauvage is supposed to be. A real masterpiece! If you like a mature fresh out of the shower scent, this is for you!
I wanted this fragrance for so long and finally pulled the trigger and got the EDP a few months ago. I enjoy wearing it so much, your description is spot on with it. Dark, sensual and a little seductive while keeping the freshness.
I only have the EDP but that Ambroxan blast you get with it makes it my favorite. It almost has a literal warm radiation that comes from my skin when I wear it. It just feels and smells fitting for the environment I'm in. Kinda wanna get the EDT though since it sounds a touch more versatile. Awesome breakdowns man!

I love this. The locker room vibe has been taken out. This 45 min high mid drydown is phenomenal as it takes you to a tamed down Sauvage thats been modified to be rich and subtle. I just got it today after sampling last week. Reminds me of BDC EDP and Savage EDP mixed with the best shower gel you have ever smelled. I like the star Anise being removed. Creamy sandlewood and I even get a leather note.
I just got the Parfum after having had the EDT and EDP. I think the Parfum is more mature. Not as screamy and sharp as the EDT. It’s the most unique of the bunch also.
For me it’s the edt it’s just such a special fragrance compared to the edp or parfum. It’s more complex versatile and unique, the others adds similar spice notes to other darker parfum fragrances that I enjoy better.
Nice new intro, Steven! I’ve tried both EDT and EDP, and the EDP took away that “Pledge” feeling of Sauvage for me. That being said, among the “Citrus Trinity”, I still prefer Bleu de Chanel EDT over Sauvage EDT and Acqua Di Gio EDT (which smelled like chemicals on my skin). Coincidentally , I like the EDP flankers of each line more than the original EDTs. There’s something to be said about using woods and spices to counterbalance bright, salty and citrusy notes.
I was on holiday in Guyana south American and wore the EDT to breakfast, the staff in the breakfast area said 'exuse me sir what fragrance are you wearing, it smells really good' I told her it was Dior sauvage she hadn't heard it before. I went up to my room got the bottle and gave it to her there was only about 15ml left from the 100ml bottle and she was so chuffed
I think Sauvage would've been a sensational hit even if it was a niche fragrance because its scent is just simply so darn good! Yes, it might be worn by many people around us, but I still think it's a great scent because it's very difficult not to love it unless you're looking for a unique scent that's not commonly loved.
I've watched so many reviews on the Parfum and decided there's no way I'm buying it. Well a couple of days ago I just jumped in and bought it. It's actually really good and lasts a long time. Not regretting the buy at all.

Can´t compare to EDP or EDT but bought the parfum yesterday and must say - it is absolutely awesome. I also have ARMANI CODE ABSOLU - that is also a really excellent fragrance but DIOR SAUVAGE PARFUM is far more better.
Hi there! You've got amazing reviews. Very eloquent and detailed presentation. I have a question... Last week I picked up the Parfum version, and I guess being novice to fragrances I assumed, the higher the price, the better the performance, and while I sure loved the scent, the performance to me was quite underwhelming. So I'm considering going to the store next weekend to pick up either the EDP or the EDT version. I've heard amazing reviews about the EDP version being more refined, but having less projection. I'm looking for strong projection as opposed to something that stays very close to me. Would you still recommend the EDP version? Or should I just go with the EDT? Thanks a bunch in advance!
Great video 👍🏻 I am a die hard fan of the original sauvage in the 60s so after watching your video I am going to buy the edt version to see what all the hype is about !!! I am a young 73 & go to salsa so let’s see if I get compliments & if I don’t pull I’m going for a re fund 😂😂😂
Eau de toilette from this perfume has a stronger sillage than the eau de parfum, the eau de parfum lasts longer but when you spray it it seems weaker it does not radiate like the eau de toilette does.
I JUST bought the parfum the other day and I'm in absolute love with it. Up til this point tho the EDP has been tops for me and its still there with the parfum ,but thr parfum definitely takes the number 1 spot for me and the edp closely behind. I just love how smooth and dark the parfum is ,and it performs so good for me. The EDT I love but I throw it on for casual stuff, while the parfum and edp are my holy grails of this line .
Excellent review, exactly what I was looking for. You have explained the notes very well as well as the different preferences that people may have. Thank you.
Great review. I own the EDP version of this gem and I must say i agree it has a bit more of a darker element to it that I can agree makes it seem more mature. I find the EDP works best for me and lasts for hours on my skin. You can’t go wrong with either purchase really. It all comes down to which scent best suits you.
REFORMULATED! Finally purchased EDT yesterday and smelled less peppery than last years sample. Called Dior’s customer service and they honestly told me it’s been reformulated in early 2019. Be cautious
From my experience despite saying I would stick with the EDT, I ending up trying the NEW Dior Sauvage Elixir. While I did like it, I found the smell for some was just too strong, especially at work. I have tried the EDP before, but the EDT seems to come out top all the time in term of pleasing others. It seems the most appealing, even to those at work. So I'm back with the EDT as was originally the plan. David
I love these fragrances all of them are so perfect in their own way 😍 sauvage for the summer lasts a long time and the smell is perfect edp for work and perfume for the evening 😜
Great review! I avoided the Sauvage line for as long as possible (due their popularity) but caved in and treated myself to the Parfum version. It was a blind purchase…risky, I know. I think it’s a lovely fragrance, though. I sampled the EDT, EDP and Elixir earlier. I’d probably buy the EDP version next as it’s a bit smoother than the EDT, but has better projection than the Parfum. The Parfum version lasts all day, even though it sticks closer to the skin. Just my thoughts.
from personal experience the parfum is best, even though the entire line is awesome. parfum has this great mandarin opening that settles into a vanilla tonka bean base that lasts all day on clothing. not too much a projector but i get compliments all day from its high sillage when walking around, with older women especially it smells the most mature and least offensive and my young age group loves the sauvage signature smell
I wonder which one smell the best? And which one stay the longest? I prefer my scent to stay for a long time because I feel like once I go outside, all these surroundings kinda make me smell less and less. I prefer to sacrifice the scent for longevity, but I mean I can bring it with me in like a travel size so maybe scent is better than longevity at all the time in the case then? Hard decisions 😖
Steven that is the best advice a fragrance reviewer can give: try these scents for yourself and see what appeals to you. It's nice that you give your personal recommendations based on your experience with this fragrance line, but yes, no one should specifically tell you "Go and buy this!" because just like you mentioned about the ambroxan, it can be a turn off to certain people and none of these might appeal to them or maybe just one will. But they won't know unless they try them on skin for themselves. Another amazing video, man, and great explanations on everything. Kudos! :)
Used to have the EDP for a year and just switched to EDT a month ago and I think prefer the EDT. It's more of a professional smell. EDP is too strong and seems to be more common. EDT is more unique, haven't smelled it much on people.
Great job as usual Steven. I only own the EDT but do like the vanillic touch to the EDP just not enough to want to purchase it while still having the EDT rather get something niche and better lol. Thanks a lot. - Colin

I think for proper review, people should seek this channel instead of Jeremy Fragrance. Jeremy Fragrance is mostly entertaining show but few or no technical explanation of how the scent work. He just rotate the use of citrusy, patchouli and all bunch of repeated stuff.
The reason I stopped watching Jeremy because I realized he is more of a opinion (his) giver rather than actually reviewing the perfume. Also I found it annoying to read his comment section because its just full of Jeremy ass kissers that keeps praising and complimenting non stop. There is nothing actually discussed about the perfume at all but instead just full of ass kissing.
I picked up the parfum yesterday... It does fade quickly but it is nice. I own the EDT but prefer smooth scents in the fall so look forward to using this.
Love the reviews man. Different from the rest in refreshing way. Appreciate what you do with BFL. You fellas give a great full picture of the fragrance you review. Thank you again for all the help
I stumbled across your channel while researching fragrance reviews. Your presentation is fantastic - comprehensive and articulate. I probably won’t buy another fragrance for a while after this but just to reward your effort i have subscribed. Thank you.
I prefer the EDT too. But the recent bottles are toned down and it does not have the performance anymore. So I bought a 200ml bottle of the EDP. The parfum version is the most expensive and it is the worse imo
Great reviews I have the EDT and EDP I purchased the Parfum but to powdery but i returned it when they gave me a sample of it great reviews and God bless you
You need all three, but for me I like EDP A LOT but less than the EDT and Parfum. I like to layer the EDT and Parfum. To be honest, you need all three.
Explained very well young man as I will give thumbs up and subscribe . When I'm out and about ill wear edt or edp. When im close incounter office or church the parfume will do fine. (Thanks!)
Though it’s not unique in the sense that u might smell like the next guy, I can’t help but love the smell and how it gives me confidence in knowing I smell great. I prefer the EDP concentration but they all smell great.
viktor haroldson you welcome and I look forward to order the parfum version . Last time I went to Sephora and tried it on my shirt my wife sometimes puts my shirts on cuz she likes them so this time when she put it on was like wooow it smells really good so ima gonna buy it lol.
I'm all in for all Sauvages. Just getting my parfum version to complete my set. I actually prefer the more subtle and refined scents anyways. Doesn't offend people like those in your face projecting ones do.
I wear the EDT in winter and the very cool spray in summer because it's a bit lighter. I'm not a big fan of the EDP because it has a bit of a licorice smell. The parfum version is ok but the performance is very weak. For that pricetag i expect better performance.
i started collecting fragrances 2 years ago and ive build a ok one for now with buys like Bleu de Chanel and Allure homme sport and Azzaro The Most Wanted Parfum, Azzaro Chrome Extreme YSL L'Homme and Prada L'Homme but i didnt want to get dior sauvage cause my friend wore it, i work at a college campus and 5 of my co workers wear it and then a few college kids are wearing it, i just dont wanna be wearing something that everyone is gunna be wearing, i mean i dont want something loud, im a guy that is more quiet and just wanna smell good and of course Masculinity. like also i wanna be different i dont wanna wear what alot of majority of ppl are wearing, id buy the parfum, and for a really good fragrance that many ppl say that can go toe to toe with sauvage is luna rossa Carbon. but of course ppl can buy whatever they want but just my thoughts. good vid dude
Very professional review, thank you sir. I smelled all 3 in store today and went with the EDT version, cause I found the EDP and Parfum versions to be on the sweeter side which I'm not a fan of. The EDT has crazy longevity, can still smell it on me after 10 hours (5 sprays). They also have a refillable bottle now for the EDT version specifically, which is cool. The refill is 300ml, for $249 CAD which works out to be a lot cheaper than buying 3 brand new 100ml bottles...but I don't know if I'll still be into Sauvage when it runs out, to where I'd wanna refill it.
This may depend on your skin but Dior sauvage parfum lasts a while and most the time the longest along with the fans of it agreeing. It’s lasted on my clothes for one week straight and it’s great for a date night since it’s sweeter, however you said you don’t like sweeter fragrances so that may be why. All 3 are great it’s like comparing Kobe Bryant and Michael Jackson one may be better but they are both easily GOATS
i am not a fan of the EDT. i can't stand it. i tried the EDP once and it seemed better. i am yet to try the parfum version. but in conclusion, i do not understand why sauvage gained so much popularity among everyone...
Redolessence thank u for replying. I have noticed the past couple months that it actually last better on me when it’s cold, not so much when it’s hot out. By the way I was wrong they don’t have the same DNA but to me I smell something very similar when i smell them in the heart if them. I prefer the perfume because it’s not so abrasive I still love the EDT
Thank you for a timely review hehe, I made 2 visits to Sephora to smell the Parfum ver and got a sample to try it. As a newbie, unconsciously, didn’t even bother smelling the 1st 2, thinking the parfum would be the best of the 3. I love the smell of Parfum, now I’d go back and try the others and see which smells best to me to move forward. Thanks
Thanks for sharing this video. I was actually wondering which one you prefer is the best one out of the three. I honestly almost thought they were all the same scent but was very wrong. I’ve the sauvage Dior regular one and the eau de parfum also. You would think they’re the same but they’re really not. I definitely get great complements on them both.
@@x__ace I purchased the 3rd one last month and to be honest it’s so hard to choose but if I had to choose one it would probably be the sauvage elixir. That one smells so good but stands out from the other ones.

Wow absolutely amazing advice. I've been using the EDT version for months now and I do detect those positive vibes from everyone. I tried a sample version of the latest one, but as you said Stephen the EDT is the one that you would stick with. Your description of Dior Sauvage was very accurate in every way. The original here sometimes only costs £45, where the latest version will be around £76. I agree on every word you said and I will certainly be sticking with the original.
Hahha kind of true
Have you changed your mind or you still stand by EDT? I can get the edp 60ml for just 5$ more compared to edt 60ml? What do you think?
I still prefer the EDT!
@@Redolessence sauvage recently reformulate?
@@donrock6503 I hear they did...
@@donrock6503 sauvage edp reformulated too?
@@Redolessence what would you recommend in an office place? EDP or EDT?
Nice breakdown of the line! Great job as always! Also let me say that the thumbnail is phenomenal!
Thank you so much! That really means a lot!
Parfum for me. I tried EDT, but its longevity was not upto expectations.
I stumbled across your channel while researching fragrance reviews. Your presentation is fantastic - comprehensive and articulate. I probably won’t buy another fragrance for a while after this but just to reward your effort i have subscribed. Thank you.
Thank you so much! That means a lot!
This is just what I needed. I will go for EDT. Thanks
Fully agree with your comments👍🏻
Love the EDT, I just feel like it projects more
I prefer the EDT too. But the recent bottles are toned down and it does not have the performance anymore. So I bought a 200ml bottle of the EDP. The parfum version is the most expensive and it is the worse imo
What's performance issues does it have and how is the edp
Great reviews I have the EDT and EDP I purchased the Parfum but to powdery but i returned it when they gave me a sample of it great reviews and God bless you
have the edt and edp been reformulated? I heard the longevity took a big hit not lasting as long.
What do you recommend the parfum or the edp?
Wat is better dior sauvage edt o edp thanks
for teenager which one you reccomend?
You need all three, but for me I like EDP A LOT but less than the EDT and Parfum. I like to layer the EDT and Parfum. To be honest, you need all three.
I like the longer lasting fragrance. Is the eau De parfum or the parfum better for duration?
Explained very well young man as I will give thumbs up and subscribe . When I'm out and about ill wear edt or edp. When im close incounter office or church the parfume will do fine. (Thanks!)
Very well spoken, well done. Thank you.
Edt all day this stuff last all day on me. One of my most complimented fragrances.
Emmanuel Silvera is it a new bottle?
@@boomboom3728 nah the edt was the first release.
Though it’s not unique in the sense that u might smell like the next guy, I can’t help but love the smell and how it gives me confidence in knowing I smell great. I prefer the EDP concentration but they all smell great.
Great video and I enjoyed it and I like the edp and parfum better and have a blessed day
Which one projects the best
And is edt as strong as before?
I am really confused between edt and edp
whats the strongest one?
For me edt it’s for like casual wear and going out and edp it’s for more like formal dining but you can change order and they would work easily.
Thank you so much!
viktor haroldson yup it can be an excellent signature scent. I know many ppl wears it but hey that’s in part because it works .
viktor haroldson you welcome and I look forward to order the parfum version . Last time I went to Sephora and tried it on my shirt my wife sometimes puts my shirts on cuz she likes them so this time when she put it on was like wooow it smells really good so ima gonna buy it lol.
viktor haroldson it is a bit more sophisticated and not as loud .
viktor haroldson let me know what you think bro .
I'm all in for all Sauvages. Just getting my parfum version to complete my set. I actually prefer the more subtle and refined scents anyways. Doesn't offend people like those in your face projecting ones do.
Well said, Tyler!
How long does the edp and edt last? For me how long a fragrance last is an important factor
Edt are usually lighter and the scent may not last as long as parfum. There are a few good videos on youtube that explain the difference.
Hi Steven! Any knowledge or can you tell us if the EDT has been reformulated?
I have been told that is it, but I can't confirm.
Where do you get your fragrances?
Mine is Parfum. Last all the day. Still have good smell on my shirt at night.
Does the parfum last all day just like the EDP or EDT?
@@whatitisnt. last all day on the clothes. Same as armaf cdnim parfum pure perfume.
I wear the EDT in winter and the very cool spray in summer because it's a bit lighter. I'm not a big fan of the EDP because it has a bit of a licorice smell. The parfum version is ok but the performance is very weak. For that pricetag i expect better performance.
Edp has what type of smell 😂😂😂
Parfum version king performance!!!!
Hi Steven, very well explained video! Will buy the eau de toilette concentration. Can you please do this video with the Bleu de Chanel concentrations?
Great review brother
Great Review
i started collecting fragrances 2 years ago and ive build a ok one for now with buys like Bleu de Chanel and Allure homme sport and Azzaro The Most Wanted Parfum, Azzaro Chrome Extreme YSL L'Homme and Prada L'Homme but i didnt want to get dior sauvage cause my friend wore it, i work at a college campus and 5 of my co workers wear it and then a few college kids are wearing it, i just dont wanna be wearing something that everyone is gunna be wearing, i mean i dont want something loud, im a guy that is more quiet and just wanna smell good and of course Masculinity. like also i wanna be different i dont wanna wear what alot of majority of ppl are wearing, id buy the parfum, and for a really good fragrance that many ppl say that can go toe to toe with sauvage is luna rossa Carbon. but of course ppl can buy whatever they want but just my thoughts. good vid dude
So you said the EDT may smell a little Metallic, Does the EDP does not have that Metallic Smell to it ? which is better in projection ?
5sprays no Wonder , edp with 2 sprays wich is much lasts 17-18 on me
5 sprays is a lot
@@YouknowNZ edt last 36 hours for me and edp only last 4 hours
I’m going on a cruise and trying to find the cologne I want to bring so thank you so much sir
You're very welcome!
Is EDP good for a men from 40yrs old and more?
fuck yes
I'm 44 and it's definitely a panty dropper.
Wich one lasts longer?
Love the EDT😍😩❤️
i am not a fan of the EDT. i can't stand it. i tried the EDP once and it seemed better. i am yet to try the parfum version. but in conclusion, i do not understand why sauvage gained so much popularity among everyone...
Imo the parfum keeps the dna and love it. It last on me for hours lol
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks
EDP is what I bought .. EDT is what my colleague next to me wears so I constantly smell on him. I love both.Great review Steven
Which one projects better
@@x__ace I purchased the 3rd one last month and to be honest it’s so hard to choose but if I had to choose one it would probably be the sauvage elixir. That one smells so good but stands out from the other ones.
By far you are the best fragrance reviewer on RUclips bar none. I can't wait for your fragrance to come out. From London with love. 👍🏽🇳🇬🇬🇧😎
great video steven and i have both EDT and EDP too.
Which projects more and which do you prefer
I came into the Sauvage line supper late when all 3 had been out and I ended up purchasing the EDP. They did give me the Parfum as a sample and I gotta say I'm loving the smell as well.
Thank you for sharing!
Same thing happened with me i got the sample and my gf fall in love with it and ended buying one
Honestly De Parfum it's a beast, a mean I bomb! The smell it's so delicious, so smooth, so high quality and super sexy elegant. I know EDT it's more versatile but for a date or especial occasion PARFUM it's the BEST. Thnks for the review 🤗💯😉
I agree i have the edt and edp i prefer the edp.

What is your performance with the EDP and what batch?
Wow absolutely amazing advice.
I've been using the EDT version for months now and I do detect those positive vibes from everyone.
I tried a sample version of the latest one, but as you said Stephen the EDT is the one that you would stick with.
Your description of Dior Sauvage was very accurate in every way.
The original here sometimes only costs £45, where the latest version will be around £76.
I agree on every word you said and I will certainly be sticking with the original.
The best well documented fragrance video I've ever seen.
Thanks from David
Thank you so much, David!
I have the edt at £76. But it does not last. 1hr maximum in my skin. And its authentic. Maybe its just my skin.
Your thumbnail reminds me of the guy from HeSpokoeStyle. Excellent video, cheers!
Stephen, I know you probably don’t wear Sauvage that often nowadays, but can I ask you how many sprays do you do with the EDT?
I would say about 5 sprays!
