Just recognize your biased look upon her and try to see beyond what you expect to see from her, what she is really like.
It is true that Rachel stole Monica's thunder a couple times, but it was never Rachel's fault. Rachel never meant to do any of that to her friend, things just happened due to unpredictable circumstances. Who I blame are the writers who obviously had always considered the Ross and Rachel relationship the main attraction of the show and that's on them, not on the character of Rachel as she never did anything wrong to Monica on purpose.
There was nothing in this video I didn't already know. I don't know why people overlook Monica. She's the hottest and most beautiful of all. Rachel is okay too but Monica is really the whole package. Smart, independent, hard working, practical, loving, generous and gorgeous. That's literally what everyone aspires to be, right?
valeria V and yet every time Monica forgives them and is there for them no matter what. She loves them that much she puts their needs and feelings above hers even when it hurts.
PrincessLuLu Her spunkiness is lovable. Her generous, occasionally people-pleasing, caring spirit is wonderful & Monica is willing to be rational + mature when the others aren’t. Her take charge attitude, drive, competitiveness, OCD perfectionist tendencies are cool flaws considering she channels it MOSTLY with gd results even if every now & then it gets overbearing- so? A lot of women will find that relatable 😊 it’s balanced. Phoebe & Rachel do tk her for granted & Monica gets overlooked just coz the other 2 are more popular types - Rachel the fabulous hottie & Phoebe the confident carefree hippie. I love each & every one of the characters. I like that they’re all relatable & have their fair share of flaws yet are so so lovable! 😛
also that time that everybody disrespected her hard work for thanksgiving. I mean they always kinda took it for granted but that one year was the worst
The only character I can't call selfish at all is Monica. There are probably one or two times when she messed up but she was the one who cared of everyone, loved everyone. I love Rachel’s character development. How a spoilt brat becomes a successful woman. And I love Rachel so much. But yeah things kinda worked for her. On the other hand Monica had to struggle. She went through a lot yet loved everyone. She's so relatable. I love friends and I love everyone of them. And I love Monica for not letting anyone leave.
Lots of workaholics can relate to busting your butt for little return while watching someone else not even put in half the effort and excel. What's interesting is that Monica may work hard, but she has a lot of insecurities and second guesses herself. Rachel is far more laid back, has no expectations, and just looks for people to help her accomplish what she wants and it works.
I love Monica. I love her passionate nature, I understand her confidence issues and desire to please, and I love her relationship with Chandler. They are my favorite couple of the show, of most shows actually.
Monika is really very underrated. She is always overshadowed by Rachel but I truly think that she is the protagonist of the show. She deserved to be the best mother but then destiny works . She teaches us how to be happy even if we don't get the things we wanted the most in our life.
I can't wait for a video about Ross. He might be the worst 'Friend' but I feel like he'll be an interest character to dissect, someone who's always had it easy and start to unravel in the case of even slight difficulties.
The one thing I will never forgive her parents for is when their house flooded and they used boxes filled with stuff from Monica’s childhood as a dam but were able to save Ross’ boxes.
Great video again, I'm loving these characters breakdowns. Another very admirable aspect of her personality is discipline. She may seem harsh on other people, but she's the harshest with herself, because that's what it took her not only to lose weight, but also make it in a very male-dominated field. I definitely think she's the most supportive of the friends because of her maturity. Considering the treatment she got from her parents, and her truly toxic mother, it's pretty amazing that she never really takes it out on Ross, and she's emotionally so mature. She had the most grown-up relationships even before Chandler, and I think she might be the one with the least amount of messy childish break-ups. It says a lot about her! I love Chandler, and he does grow up, but I always think that it's Monica that should be set as an example : Set clear goals for your life, work hard for them, don't blame everything on your parents and enjoy and take care of the people you love. Top content yet again, keep it up!
Monica is definitely the one I relate to the most. The critical parents, the desire to clean and make everything look perfect, the working hard to achieve the career and life you want and the fact she hasn’t always had the easiest life really makes her so relatable. It’s also admirable how she still finds the time to sometimes carry her friend’s struggles despite having so many of her own.
Monica would always be my favorite. I've never seen someone sympathizing with Monica or choosing her instead of Rachel or Phoebe. I mean, I love every single character but for some reason people are always picking only on her. That's why I am so glad for this video, now people are seeing what I see. And the comment section is amazing. I wanna be friends with all the people who is saying that she is their favorite. ❤
I don't understand why people don't like Monica as much as the others, she's taught me soo much, she cares about her friends, she's strong, competitive and deals with all her problems soo greatly. She works hard to be successful and is soo relatable. She'll always be my favorite ❤❤
I'm glad you made this video. I just feel like she's the most underrated in the FRIENDS group but as Ross and you pointed out, she's actually the one that held the group together.
I love her because it takes a lot of "restraint" or "indifference" when they tease her or wiseass-ing whenever she asks. She cocks her head to one shoulder and stares at you like "really?" She's so cool!
She is SO underrated. All she does in the show is trying to make others satiated /happy /have a roof above their head or just try to make things better and works so hard for things. My favourite character
7:50 one of the things I love most about Monica and why I find her very down to earth - her resilience - doing every crappy job you can to get to where you want to be in your career even if it takes a long time and its not directly related to what you want x
Not everything fell into place for Rachel though, she was still cheated on and still ended up unmarried at the end. Things ran smoothly for her but then ended up difficult, it was the other way around for Monica. In the end she ended up with it all - a faithful husband, job she loves, two babies and a new massive home. Good things come to those who wait. and who deserve it
Rachel wasn't marriage obsessed like Monica was though. She was always scared of marriage and was more career driven and in the end was extremely successful. That shouldn't be valued less than marriage. In the end she chooses Ross over her career and you assume they get married. I was always mad about that.
When Phoebe yelled at Monica at her wedding it bothered me Monica was only trying to help her and then phoebe tells her to back off then comes running back to her. It bothered me so much
Nah that was probably the only time monica deserved it. She even said that she was trying to make the wedding about her. Please Phoebe did the right thing
i relate with chandler and monica the most. each friend represents each individual in every group of friends. that's why this show is so great. we can relate.
Even though she's probably the least funny one (just my opinion, I think she's funny, just not as funny as the others), I still feel like she's the most under appreciated character. I've definitely always felt so much like her. She definitely is the glue of Friends.
As a kid I liked pheobe coz she was a wacky character but as an adult I rewatched the series and actually relate to monica so much she is my favorite character now. Her struggles were related with love and family life than financial but she always balanced between.family and friends. One has to pass through all that crap to get her character.
I smiled and almost cried through the whole video. I LOVE Monica, but I could never put to words why I do so. She's so relatable, with her flaws and strong points and seems just so real. I can't wait for the Phoebe analysis since she is my next favorite after Monica and Chandler. You girls are the best!
When I was younger Rachel was my favourite character but as I’ve gotten older I really love Monica. She tries so hard and puts everyone else before her. She is so generous
Yaaay Monica! I feel like I really relate with her, and also feel inspired by her at the same time. Watching these videos help me realize what lessons I have learned in my own life and inspires me to be better, to do better. Thanks guys! Love this so much
monica is the most endearing one of the bunch. courtney plays her superbly. even her annoying little habits become charming and adorable throughout the series.
Monica was my favorite character on Friends. Funny, kind, and always put others before herself when it really counted. Her competitiveness and bossiness was minuscule compared to her best qualities. Great video!
Until now, I still don't get how and why Rachel is the most popular friend. She irks me in all the wrong ways possible. Monica has always been my favorite
@@teyalynn_xo nope - Friends came out in '94 - Scream came out in '96. Jen was all the rage before Scream. Her new hairstyle caused a fuss. Then, her Playboy spread and then she was dating Brad Pitt. You don't get why the hot rich girl making it on her own with daddy issues will beat out the clean control freak with mommy issues?
I love Monica, when I was younger I didn't think much of her cos I was too obsessed with Phoebe's weirdness. But now, because I'm older, I can see myself in Monica way more than the others. Because of this, when I rewatch the show now I find Monica way funnier and more likable than I used to. It's a shame she's the most underrated of the 6 because she really is the least problematic, most realistic character on the show. I'm sure a lot of adults can see at least a small part of themselves in her at certain times, and I know you could say that for all of them, but Monica has always seemed the most real to me, like I could easily meet someone exactly like her, whereas the other 5 seem like slightly exaggerated versions of real people.
I think the most relatable part of monica was how she struggled with finding the right guy. The show starts with her getting lied to by the wine guy. Plus shes unfullfilled with her job. And she has leftover image issues from her childhood. Ive always liked monica the best!
She always will be my favorite character. She is flawed but that makes her human. She's also the voice of reason many times, cares for people and loves her friends truly. She is organized, a perfectionist ans a bit of a pain in the ass haha, but she's also warm, super funny many times and a very dedicated friend and wife. I will forever love Harmonica 💕

I KNOW!!
You just made me fall in love with Monica. Do you want me to cry? Is that what you want? You wanna see me cry?
SIR NO SIR!
I always loved Monica, she is my favorite, I feel like she is underrated and Phoebe and Rachel are assholes sometimes to her
valeria V and yet every time Monica forgives them and is there for them no matter what.
Monica is a assholes to them many times as well! thats why Friends was so great, everyone was so real. They were all assholes sometimes.
Lizandra Barboza thank you, they’re all assholes lol
Man these videos just make me appreciate Friends even more! Are you planning on doing one for each of the characters?
ULGROTHA yeah i cant wait for phoebe's and joey's
I would love an analysis of Joey’s growth.
Have you guys kept up? 😁
I love Monica. I love her passionate nature, I understand her confidence issues and desire to please, and I love her relationship with Chandler. They are my favorite couple of the show, of most shows actually.
Monica is definitely the “mom” of the gang.
I also like Monica. To me, she’s like that one friend in class always prepared and enough to share their pencils with. Sadly, she’s so underrated.
Monika is really very underrated. She is always overshadowed by Rachel but I truly think that she is the protagonist of the show. She deserved to be the best mother but then destiny works . She teaches us how to be happy even if we don't get the things we wanted the most in our life.
YES. She’s my favorite character. She’s so caring, mature, and such a great friend! I love her!
I can't wait for a video about Ross. He might be the worst 'Friend' but I feel like he'll be an interest character to dissect, someone who's always had it easy and start to unravel in the case of even slight difficulties.
Gregory House hes just the worst and homophobic
I'm excited for the Joey one!
He was such a selfish, self-absorbed shithead.
Ross isn't the worst friend rachel is.
Tell me how is he the worst friend ? There is no worst friend in FRIENDS they all have their flaws .
The one thing I will never forgive her parents for is when their house flooded and they used boxes filled with stuff from Monica’s childhood as a dam but were able to save Ross’ boxes.
I love these videos. They neatly point out the nuances I missed watching Friends as a child. I can't wait to see who's next.
A uplifting friend like Monica is everythang we need in life!!! Thanks to Skill Share for supporting this great video, you guys are the best 💖
Monica is a lot better than Rachel. Rachel is the worst probably
"She's clearly an Emma"
"Oh hunny, but u love that name"
"But i love you more"
Gets me everytime 😢
I don't understand why people don't like Monica as much as the others, she's taught me soo much, she cares about her friends, she's strong, competitive and deals with all her problems soo greatly. She works hard to be successful and is soo relatable. She'll always be my favorite ❤❤
Everyone deserves a friend like Monica , at the fun parts and at the hard parts
I appreciate Friends, more so than I used to, because of ScreenPrism.
Monica is the glue that keeps the group together.
Exactly
Aka the mother
I'm glad you made this video. I just feel like she's the most underrated in the FRIENDS group but as Ross and you pointed out, she's actually the one that held the group together.
I love her because it takes a lot of "restraint" or "indifference" when they tease her or wiseass-ing whenever she asks. She cocks her head to one shoulder and stares at you like "really?" She's so cool!
I've always seen Monica as the mom of the group and at the end of the day moms are the best friends ♥️
She is SO underrated. All she does in the show is trying to make others satiated /happy /have a roof above their head or just try to make things better and works so hard for things. My favourite character
God bless anyone who’s the Monica of the Friend group; you’re awesome, underrated, and a blessing to everyone you encounter. ♥️
AMEN GOD BLESS EVERYONE AND EVERYONE'S FAMILIES AND LOVE ONES!
Finally a video about Monica 😍😍
The best character. She has 2 of the top 5 funniest scenes of Friends. Of all time.
7:50 one of the things I love most about Monica and why I find her very down to earth - her resilience - doing every crappy job you can to get to where you want to be in your career even if it takes a long time and its not directly related to what you want x
Monica is so relatable, generous and kind, not to mention how organised and funny she is, she’s a friend that everyone wants to have!
Wait who cheated on her apart from paolo
@@amygilmore9203 Ross, Paolo, and Barry.
@@rttrrttrrttr they. were on. a break.
@@rttrrttrrttr ross didnt cheat on her, they were on a break
Monica’s final line on this video is my favourite Monica quote ever xxx
I was just thinking "Man it's been a bit since I've seen a new ScreenPrism video." Y'all have good timing!
...and taste! Love a Friends themed video!
I love the fact that Monica always feeds Joey and it was so sad when Monica and Chandler moved
I need a Monica in my life ❤️
Giving Monica the love and recognition she deserves 🙏🏼🤍
I love screenprism, you guys are so amazing with the care and writing that goes into every episode!!
When Phoebe yelled at Monica at her wedding it bothered me Monica was only trying to help her and then phoebe tells her to back off then comes running back to her. It bothered me so much
Yesss
Monica deserved it.she was being such a pain in the ass
Nah that was probably the only time monica deserved it. She even said that she was trying to make the wedding about her. Please Phoebe did the right thing
This is actually making me cry I love Monica so much
Monica has always been my favorite
i relate with chandler and monica the most. each friend represents each individual in every group of friends. that's why this show is so great. we can relate.
Even though she's probably the least funny one (just my opinion, I think she's funny, just not as funny as the others), I still feel like she's the most under appreciated character. I've definitely always felt so much like her. She definitely is the glue of Friends.
Great video! Monica is definitely my favorite.
Monica was always my favorite. This video made me love her more ❤️
When I was younger Rachel was my favourite character but as I’ve gotten older I really love Monica.
Ive always love Monica as a character, she’s so fully realized and fleshed out. And Courteney Cox did an amazing job portraying her.
Monica has always been my favorite
i think its just because Jennifer Aniston is the most famous of the cast
radioactive chihuahua so not true. Courtney Cox was FAR more famous. She was in Scream 1 and 2 before the show and during the show
I love monica.
Courtney cox is not more famous
I always love Monica, she is such a good role model.
Ive always liked monica the best!
monica may not be that entertaining to watch, but in real life, she is the most reliable friend.
Every time I watch one of these, I go...oh yeah, I’m a Rachel. I mean, I’m a Chandler. I mean, I’m a Monica.
hahaha me too, it's like I have a part of each ones personality
Same! Lol
Monica isn't my favorite but she's the character I APPRECIATE the most. The rest of them wouldn't survive without her
I'm scarily like Monica in personality, outlook & life goals
This made me realize how amazing Monica is. Loved the video 💜
Phoebe: What's more important, friends or money?
Everyone: Friends
Monica: MONEY!
that was a joke. literally everything she does in the entire series proves that mindset wrong.
@@belmarshall9103 Exactly
I love Monica she is my favourite ❤️😍❤️😍😘😘😘😘
You are a genius!

'She's clearly an Emma.'
'Oh honey but you love that name.'
'yeah but I love you more.'
I am not crying you are.
Monica-my most favorite of the gang ❤
To be completely honest this video made me appreciate Monica so much more then ever thought to before, amazing video ☺️
I love everything about this channel's videos.
I love this FRIENDS series. Are we gonna eventually get vids on Ross, Joey, and Phoebe as well?
Taylor Tano and chachaman !
The White Bird there is already a Chandler video
Monica was my second favorite in the crew. Always felt the fans didn't appreciate her enough.
This video not only made me appreciate Monica more, it made me feel more better about myself because I'm almost completely like Monica ♡
Monica is incredible character, i love her character so much. She’s so tough and gentle even she’s have bad habbit, high maintance. She’s so mothering❤
Aww,, you made me cry! she really is the most relatable
Monica has always been my favorite and this show will always stay with me, thank you so much for breaking down the show and every character, you did Monica justice
Chandler is very lucky to have monica..
Tears rolling down..
