This car is capable of higher speeds in the hands of more experienced drivers. I don't do this car the justice. I had a crash scare last year in 997 turbo s on autobahn when a driver changed in to fast lane i was doing about 275 kmh, since then am more nervous, cautious whatever you call it. You just hope all drivers keep in their minds they're on no limit zone they should check fast lane before a maneuver.
Also, I apologise from viewers I got carried away in residential area, I've never done it prior to this and never will i ever. Another apology for the shaky camera.

I like your comment, you have a point but these cars are made to perform. As long as you don't throw the car around too much it should keep the engine tip top condition. But I know what you mean, that's why I always buy my cars from their main dealers.

I visit Germany once a year for the past 6 years and get a Porsche just to have fun on the Autobahn. In Sept i drove a new Boxster S with PDK. Top was 275kmh. Before that a 911 C4S, top was 291KMH, before that a 911 Carrera, top was 287kmh. At those speeds the curves almost become turns...15 years with PCA Club racing in my 911 and Cayman helps to understand aerodynamics of the car at high speeds.

Nice. The quality of drivers on Autobahns is way better than on UK motorways. We have shit lane discipline here. Even travelling through France in summer, their drivers on the toll roads were excellent.

John Doe But that's just how it works in the US. "Keep your lane" is the motto, and there's no rule telling that the outer lane should be the fast lane. So you can overtake either on the left or the right. I don't think it's a bad thing, but as a foreigner you should be aware of the local driving customs. Just as it goes with crossings: you don't give way to the right, but to the car to arrive first at a crossing. Cheers from Holland.

You can bet on it. The reason is, that we're allowed to drive on full speed on the
autobahn - when there's no speedlimit. So you have naturally more control of the
car as person, when you're used to these speeds.

There is a passenger holding camera, not mounted to anything... You can see them move it over when the pass a carrera and even heard them speaking.

Looks like alot of fun for sure. Lil disappointed in the Porsche 4s tho I have an audi s4 b7 and raced a Porsche 4s on a deserted highway at 110,120,130,140,150mph and still could not move on me. So I slowed n let him lead n nothin sat behind him the whole way, he couldn't pull away which is weird causes he's lighter and a lil more power. Good fun tho.
Brad Dayton Better test drive one first, porsches are not known for going fast in a straight line, they are fast on small curvy roads and tracks.

Hi, it's original Porsche exhaust that comes with the car, nothing extra. There's a button that activates the exhaust to sport mode. I plan to top the speed limiter as soon as the weather allows. The road was icy on the day of filming.

Everybody can drive in a staight line at 280 km/hr in the right car (in this case Porsche PDK, so you don't have to that much to achieve such speeds, Just hold the steeing wheel and floor it.).
Like you say : a very good car. The driver : might be but in this video there is not much proof of that. How fast is he on a mauntain pass, circuit. Can he controle his car in case of a slide or a high speed emergency-manouvre ... ?

In Australia, the politicians and police relentlessly message "speed kills" - over here, that speed would see you in a lot of trouble. In Germany it's "carry on driving, Sir" but here they would cube your car and jail you. Seriously. I wish I was in Germany.

TianYi Jiang Just to correct something, it was in my 997 Turbo S not in this 4S but they have roughly same size for passengers at back seats. Not comfortable for anyone over 1.60 cm but yes 2 adults may sit at rear seats for short distances.

Choucroute59300 I love both of them, they're both great cars, and, in my opinion, they're the best cars in their class. There's nothing like german engineering, my 996 turbo is running just fine with 300k miles, what I have done? Changed the oil LOL :), this makes me love Porsche even more.

So, you're saying I don't need the turbo version?
Me, I don't like turbos. So I would prefer the carrera 4S. I like it, when the power
doesn't suddenly come up. I didn't drive a porsche turbo yet, still a normal
carrera, so I don't know how a porsche does the job with a turbo..
The new 991.2 and 992 turbo cars are a good combo - lots of midrange torque which makes for very fast acceleration and flexibility of not having wind out the engine rpm every single time.
Could get the same results from a Porsche Cayman S with a few tweaks and have better handling in the corners. Which, oddly enough, you just don't want when flying at over 250km/hr. Regardless, those are great cars if you can afford the maintenance cycles.

Nice looking car the 911 but real shit to drive overweight feeling noisy really not dynamik after one hour driving your re happy to drive another car. The Cayman is a much better car for driving feeling. I rented at Porsche Drive Zuffenhausen 4S ; S, new GTS drive at all 7000 km and buy a 718 S this is a much funiest car to drive.
