@@Highlander1432 it's been brilliant. No issues at all. I have it it midnight blue with the yachting blue leather interior. Most options are included. I got it with 17k miles on it only, and traded in my Cayman S for some credit. In total after trade in, I paid around 60k USD. This has the chrono package, bose surround sound, front and back cameras and parking assist and the upgraded seats and interior
Only zee Germans would think of sending the very first example of their newest, most expensive, fastest and top-tier marquee car to be showcased on national television... with a brown paint job. And with a brown interior. (and yet somehow, it’s still gorgeous.)
There's something so pure about driving a Manuel Carrera 4 or 4S, I would imagine its similar to the feeling the engineers of the 959 felt when it was in development. The feeling is simply unattainable by a RWD Porsche. There's Carrera fans, and there's Carrera 4 fans.
Just watched a lot of old Motorweek reviews of old air cooled 911's. G, 964 and 993. This car looks HUGE and pretty ugly in comparison. It's much faster and more technically advanced of course but if I had serious money, I'd go for the classics.
I dont mean to be so off topic but does anybody know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account? I was dumb lost my password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me.
@Fletcher Braylen thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
12.7 1/2 mile and 4.4 to 60 with the manual NO THANKS ill take the PDK its a fast car and it should be able to go fast many cars out there would put it to shame with thoses numbers all because of the manual
+twattuni Most of the joys of driving a car have nothing to do with 0-60mph or quarter mile times. Some of the most desirable cars in history are not drag cars, but cars that can handle well, are exciting to drive and involve the driver. If you grew up driving manual cars and enjoy the feel and control of making your own shifts then no matter how good and fast the PDK is they are less fun to drive then manual stick shifts... Just my humble opinion
7-Speed manual? Lol i doubt that there would be any real world use out of that last gear... Unless you were attempting to break a few laws, that or really pushing for fuel economy.
What the hell Motorweek...? Where's 0-60? Skidpad? Braking? On every road test in the last couple years these all have been missing in your reviews. #fail
Calling a Porsche for a VW and then talk about Jeep, classy. Btw, have that beloved Fiat of yours fixed it issues with flipping over while doing a fast turn?
are you kidding!?!! it's a VW!!! just bcus they namned it porsche dont mean it's any better...drive a beattle , it's the same shit! at least with a Jeep I know what I'm buying!!! I also know that youre stuck in the 90.s, bacj when a jeep had some serious shitty interior, take a look at the new 2014 SRT8, you'll see what I mean. But hey, if you're a porsche freak, then dont bother, cus you porsche owners are blinded by your beloved brand.
What a waste to get a sports car with an automatic. If you enjoy driving get the manual. It's so much more fun and rewarding. The automatic completely ruins the experience
Sukun Paul A dual clutch is a type of automatic that's faster than the traditional slushbox. It changes gears automatically and decides what gear it thinks you want to be in. The only involvement you have is flappy paddles that can only change sequentially. I test drove one for a while and drove it on the track. Very boring and it defeats the fun that a sports car should be. Porsche and the dealers are happy to make more money selling this complicated, boring gadget to people who don't know any better.
MrPostmancat Attacking the messenger, very mature. You can't argue that sitting there watching the computer change gears or flipping a paddle is more fun than shifting with a manual I can't even buy a manual turbo or Ferrari b/c they're catering to idiots like Justin Bieber and people who buy a car for prestige and don't care about driving. So I can't get what suits me b/c of these morons.
MrPostmancat Thank you. finally someone said it. It's almost as if a person wants total strangers on youtube to think they are a "purist" or a real driver they have to type the ubiquitous "manual is for real drivers comment".It's like really who are You trying to convince? Porsche has answered these critics a million times. It gets old. We run in to these types in the military. "the best rifle is this or that" .Did they serve? Never.
no 911 should ever have 20 inch wheels! it looks like "bad taste" aftermarket ideas gone awry. really, porsche, how could you? 18 or 19 inch wheels fit the overall look and lines of this car; 20 inch wheels draw the eye to the too big wheels. horrible decision, porsche.
I have this car as my daily driver. Absolutely love it.
how much did u pick it up for ?
has it been reliable ?

That is fasaaat even by 2024
Standards wow! 2013 that was insane and not even the turbo model
i'm really happy to see a manual transmission available
That car is damn near perfect.
Motorweek... please do a Retro of the 2005 911 Carrera S (Red)
agreed, I feel like they are one of the only car company's that try as hard as possible to make their cars perfect.

I'm liking Porsche more and more.
I just love being shouted at by TV presenters.

@Fletcher Braylen it worked and I finally got access to my account again. I am so happy!
Thank you so much you saved my ass !
@Zev Legend glad I could help :D
great review
Excellent review!
he did say 0-60 in 4.4sec if u watch carefully...
If I was to buy a brand new Porsche, this mahogany would be the color I would want my Porsche
Motorweek doesn't convince Porsche to test the very first 2013 C4, Porsche convinces Motorweek to test it.
Are any new 911 Porsches going to have a manuel transmission?
I have this EXACT car, but in Silver
I thought NISSAN started rev matching back in 2009.
Am I wrong?
Someone learned something if not a whole lot from NISSAN GTRs ATTESA-ETS - PRO !!!

+twattuni So you're telling you you would race it and risk crashing? Man, if I got this I would baby it but get excitement with the manual tranny.

The 4.4 time to 60 MPH was due to track and weather conditions. The manual should be able to do 3.9 in ideal conditions.
Im sure you never been i neither of those cars !
needs a front end sheet metal makeover
Color? Name
mahogany metallic

@Ifsracer79 too funny !!
Nice but the voice over delivery could be a little less strained...

0-60 in 4.4
You might be but Porsche do it properly :)
it's a 3.6 in the base model not 3.4
It’s a 3.4.
John Davis is sounding like a guy from home shopping channel.
brr, good cars bad reviewer.
Pos? So you're suggesting a Chrysler product has better build quality than a Porsche 911? That's pretty pathetic..
is that why porsche GTS lost the fight againts the SRT!?!
