This was such a good movie. I love that she continued to wear the pearls, that took her to her destiny. And he was fascinated by her, so decided to wait for her. Beautiful!
Isn't she simply exquisite, elegant, yet modest young lady? When a lady was a genuine lady. I truly appreciate these old shows! Thank you for the uploads!
I love these old shows, but the only down side is there is always a dusty old person who makes a comment like this. The good old days when young ladies had no rights, not allowed to have bank accounts without husbands and were expected to breed and nothing else. How conveniently you forget.
Although originally telecast on "FOUR STAR PLAYHOUSE" on January 21, 1954 ,this was actually a pilot for an unsold series that would have featured Colman as host of an anthology dramatizing famous stories.
Angela is precious as always 💖 that's my babygirl 👑 highkey I feel like Mayer knew what she was really worth but tried not to give her too much shine (probably because other studios would have offered her better opportunities... well that's my opinion anyway). I'm proud of her for overcoming typecasting as gracefully as she has though. Angie has got her own from the start, no questions asked.
With Angela they never knew what they had! When she plays the bad Saloon Girl in 'The Harvey Girls' she looked forward to singing her rousing number but they DUBBED her. Imagine dubbing Angela Lansbury of Mame!
Lansbury, Coleman & Bruce...what's not to love! Coleman is one of a kind...a magnificent actor, handsome and one of the most beautiful voices ever....could listen to him all day. Lansbury besides being beautiful is an awesome actor....timeless. Bruce is always a charmer...would love to have met him.
I just remembered how as a kid I wondered why regular people never spoke like they did in the movies. It certainly would be a big improvement today. Angela Lansbury is an underrated global treasure.
this is the funniest comment.HELL yes 'I fell you. I just GO AS FAR AS I CAN DRIVE CHECK INTO A NICE Motel that has room service, put the sign out . and go to sleep usually stay a week.
Hi🙋♀️ Cinerans62!! 🥰😇 YES, A DREAM WORLD!🥰 I DID MEET A MILLIONAIRE ONE YEAR, AN ITALLIAN HANDSOME MAN! **I PR🙏YED 2 G👑D for as a Teen! 😅🤣😆 IT Came to Pass: One day in my mid twenties, I was 1st Lieutenant in th Guard & he was A Lieutenant Colonel! He walked over 2 me at a military party & Said: "I'm worth $500,000 & you're the Most beautiful girl I've Ever Seen" gave me his card! Turned Out He "LIED"!!😇🥰; HE WAS IN the PETROLEUM & OIL Business, he was Actually a multi-millionaire👍💝😆😅🤣😂!🧡❤💙💜💚💖 G👑D bless you Cinerarna62!🙏
Random Harvest, all tragic and remote, delicious goose bumps! And A Tale of Two Cities, his only screen appearance without his mustache, and he was beautiful. (Dirk Bogarde made an unforgettable Sidney Carton too.)
I felt sick. For her poor brother, too. I couldn't watch that movie but once, too miserable and cruel. Can hardly stand the sight of that actor. It's all taken too lightly for me!
@@Carly8Corday yes. It's a very dark, depressing and intriguing movie. I think I've see it 3 uneasy times 😂 That was enough. It was Hurd Hatfield as Dorian
i must admit, i do love how actresses we're just not perfect doll ,face wise. even in italy nowdays , unless it's a well established commedian, everyone is a 10 .
One of Nigel Bruce's last efforts: he looks surprisingly old, even allowing for the make-up, for a man who was only in his late 50s (he died in 1953, aged 58).
Lovely upload PizzaFlix! But this is a wonderful story, but not the Somerset Maugham one. In his story, the woman was married and lonely for her beloved husband was too busy for her. She had a night's fling and was given the string by her lover. For the rest please look it up. I can't write it better than Maugham!
Very good. Iwould love it if you could find the Pulitzer Prize Playhouse or Kraft Television Theater daptations ofThe Just And The Unjust.. Both starred Richard Kiey.
Nigel Bruce died in 1953 so this t.v.-picture may have been one of his last efforts: Ronald Colman only lived a bit longer, dying in 1958. Neither of them were really old
Oh boy! I loved this! Approximately 30 minutes of pure joy! What a story and what a lesson to be learned! Thank you for posting! Fantastic ! 👌👍🏽👍🏽😎✌️
Thanks for watching! May the Sauce be with you.

private eyes?
Reminds me of beloved Angela

You make this type of comment repeatably without giving a definition of what is meant.

It is a thrill catching up on the many films of Angela Lansbury. Ah, the distinctive voice of Ronald Colman ... wonderful!

This was another inriguing one in this series, and very enjoyable. Many for making all these old films available.

What a joy - I can watch it several times without getting bored. Great actors. Thanks so much.
With Angela Lansbury n' It...It's Going To Be Good! Very Much Enjoyed 🎥🎬🍿

That was an ending with a twist I didn't see coming!
A moral to remember....delightful story, with great actors!
What a beautiful voice Lansbury has!
Plus exquisite talent, and a radiant personality.
Amazed at the attraction these short stories have for so many people. Even...me!
Agreed
This was fabulous. Reminds me years ago I read a great many short stories of Somerst Maugham. All enjoyable!
Somerset Maugham is one of my favorite writers. Thôroughly ẹnoyed this Pizzaflix, many thanks !

Amen to that. Love you, Pizza Flix, you have given us so many gems of pure enjoyment. May the Sauce be with YOU!!!!!
Wow. Talk about a surprise ending!!! A great movie, and a very beautiful and talented actress. Agatha Christie’s Miss Marple mysteries.
I've never heard of this, but what a wonderful surprise. Thank you.

Wonderful to see this again!!!
SM's stories are always good. This one is similar to another of his called "Mister Knowall" which as this one is brilliant too.
I love old movie thank you.
I just saw Watson! Always a pleasure to see Nigel Bruce.

Angela Lansbury had such an amazing career. Who knew?
not enough people. she should have had way more of a movie career later on
TY for the upload, wonderful drama with one of my favorite actors Ronald Colman :-)
Lovely story - i'd forgotten how charming Ronald Coleman was. of course, i would have gone for the ordinary guy -he was a pip LOL thanks much :}
I have to admit it. I always thought Angela was a secret blonde bombshell.
Elegant ladies and Dapper gents! HowbDivine!😃📣💐
Angela Lansbury is one of my favourite Jessica Fletcher characters
And that's what a great writer gives you. Sigh! Masterful.
I love it! Thanks!

What a beautiful man Ronald Coleman was!!!
One of my favorites ❤
Ronald Coleman was the epitome of suave.
Very Good story, BRILLIANT!
"Dinner is served" oh too live like that for one year. Instead of " get it yourself"

the British accent personifies class and sophistication.
Not all of them, sugar.
She is always talented, always beautiful. Robert is a controlling jerk, Peter is gullible and shallow. Angela deserves better!
really enjoyed this film
I love Angela, thank you.
Lovely!
What a great yarn!
enjoyable little movie

What a lovely story
The very handsome Ronald Coleman...well enough said.
Random Harvest, all tragic and remote, delicious goose bumps! And A Tale of Two Cities, his only screen appearance without his mustache, and he was beautiful. (Dirk Bogarde made an unforgettable Sidney Carton too.)
Good when one of the Hollywood legends still live as Ms. Lansbury does. I felt so bad for her character in Picture of Dorian Gray.
I felt sick. For her poor brother, too. I couldn't watch that movie but once, too miserable and cruel. Can hardly stand the sight of that actor. It's all taken too lightly for me!

Which is a really good movie-yes, she is just tragic in that movie, so sweet and vulnerable and doomed

@@johnhardman3 loved Ronald he was beautiful ❤️
She was a knockout.
I saw a bit of Grace Kelly in her with this.
She was a dream girl. What a face, what eyes.
What a great story!
Sigh! The rich are such snobs. Lovely story.
And you are brilliant and possess something of far-greater value. ......a loving heart ❤️
