A New York District Attorney is under fire after she allegedly refused to stop for a Webster police officer when she was caught speeding 20 mph over the speed limit on April 22. Authorities said Monroe County District Attorney Sandra Doorley continued to drive to her home after an officer put on his emergency lights. While driving home, Doorley tried calling the police chief and asking him to stop his officer from pulling her over. When the officer confronted Doorley, she used her job title as a reason for not stopping. Doorley berated the officer when he handed her a ticket and told him she would “take care of this” since she’d be prosecuting it herself.

Remember, if that was any of us who are not the DA, we’d be charged with a felony for refusing to pull over. Additionally, she is obstructing so that is another misdemeanor we would have been charged with. Disgusting behavior from an elected official. ….the governor is hochul, I highly doubt anything will come of this. Crocodile tears apology is probably sufficient enough for her, the only way to get her out is for the people to continue the pressure, otherwise hochul will let it fade into the background.

As a retired peace officer of 27 years I can’t believe how disrespectful and unprofessional this Da acted. She says she had to deal with 3 homicides to day so she is stressed. Well how stressful does she think it is to arrest the 3 suspects she now has to deal with during her day.

The most disgusting aspect here, is how the officer apologized to her and didnt arrest her.. its gross, he is part of the problem. These people, these government officials, are expected to be held to a higher standard. I'd bet my entire salary that if it were some regular average joe who did that.. they'd be thrown to the ground at gun point, felony stop, backup en route.

I get that they have discretion but she was only given the speeding ticket when she also failed to stop and gave serious attitude (could probably be considered obstruction.) Anyone other than a government official would’ve been in the back of his car with the quickness 😂

My husband was The Mayor of our city when I got pulled over for going nine over the limit and I took the ticket from The Officer and told him I was in the wrong I was speeding thank you and get home safe tonight. Then my husband laughed at me then gave me a lecture for speeding! And he was right to do so!

I can't believe the cops didn't even point that out. Going 20 over the speed limit is bad in general, but going 55 in a 35 is insane. She could've killed someone but boohoo she dealt with 3 murders that day. Yeah and the cops who dealt with the crime scenes of those murders probably didn't go 20 over the speed limit on their way home that day.
