Thank you Leo! For days my printer was off line. And for days I tried to fix the problem. You would think there would be something to just click on to put it back on line. No such luck. That would be too easy. I watched all kinds of You Tube videos and tried all kinds of fixes, but nothing worked. Then I happened upon your video and figured, what the heck, the printer is of no use to me sitting there as is, so I'll give uninstalling and reinstalling a try. If I totally mess up, I'll go out and buy another printer for $100. It worked like a charm. Your voice is so soothing and your instructions are so precise that it gave me the confidence to give this a try.

One important thing you forgot to add is what to do when the computer asks you for your WPS number, where to find it, and if you need it only for a wireless printer or not. Since you didn't mention that I am now stuck without a printer and no way to get it installed again.

I uninstalled my Epson WF2620 and reinstalled to try and get it to print but it's still not printing what I want. I was able to print a test page though. The paper comes out blank but there is plenty of ink in 220 cartridges. My settings are for legal paper size. I'm lost NOW what is wrong ???

Hello, thank you for the video. I have an HP M148 printer for 3 years now. It is connected via WIFI no issues. The other day I renewed my Microsoft Office 365 and now, every time I have to print, it keeps saying the printer is offline on mine and my wife's computer (I updated MS Office on both). The WIFI light on the printer is solid blue meaning it has a signal. Then, I go into Control Panel and right click on my printer and select "printer properties" and go to "port." I try and click on "configure port" and get the following error message (which I never had in the past) "An error occurred during port configuration. This operation is not supported. Would anyone know what changed after I installed Office 365 and how can I keep this printer online? Another note to add, if I restart my computer each time, then it will print to printer. This never happened before. Would it be wise to just uninstall the printer and reinstall? On a side note, I tried to reach out to HP support but they want to remote into my computer and says it will take 60 to 90 minutes to resolve for a low price of $59.95. Is this a scam?

Manage allows you to make changes to the installation. Sometimes one of those changes us to remove it, but sometimes not. If not I'd check with the manufacturer for uninstall instructions.

Hi Leo, I uninstalled a Lexmark X5400 Series printer (X5470) from Windows 7 in order to reinstall a new same one that I got but when I added the new one, it didn't install a new printer driver and Lexmark doesn't have support for it because it's one of their older printers. Is there any way I can get back the driver I had for this printer. It's a four-in-one and has worked great for years. Thanks.
Thank you very much Leo. Do I have to use a bakeup restored flash drive as the last one I have is from 2021 which backed up music, photos and videos. Or can I do a backup restore now then after that do a restore back to which I think can be done with the computer not using a flash drive. \
@@elainemarietta You want to restore FROM a backup that included your entire system PRIOR to the printer driver having been uninstalled. What I think you're describing is not that.
Oh, I see. I don't have one of those. I do have the set up disk which I just noticed has a tiny box on it that says Driver Software but that's the one I' used to reinstall but ended up saying installed but no drivers. I can make copies but can't print from the computer. Don't think anymore can be done but appreciate very much, Leo, for you kind help. Thank you very much.
Hi again Leo, I tried again and restored the system back to 2/6/23 which was about l week before 2/13/23 when I uninstalled the Lexmark printer which had the drive on it. I then used the set-up disk and when it said to discard previous Lexmark printer I said NO but instead marked the box to Add another which became the new printer #2 which I designated as my default printer and left the other printers on as am afraid to uninstall anything regarding the printer so won't make mistake again Now my printer is working and am able to print from computer to printer. Ordered new black cartridge as ink low so tested several pages that were in color as my color cartridge was good and all the pages came out fine. i'd like to thank you again for helping me out. I had contacted Lexmark and HP help and both said it couldn't be done because my printer was old and also Windows 7 and there was not support for either. Am so glad to have found you. I have a usb001 problem Happened after I unplugged the usb lol What a pos software. Computer is brand new. I removed like you said. But how come there are still file folders? Not sure if I need to clean any remnant of my printer and restart or if it matters

Sounds like a scam. Make ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN you're actually contacting HP. DO NOT rely on search results, but go to hp.com directly.

Check with the printer manufacturer to see if they have drivers for you.

Unfortunately, this didn't help with the printer not printing a jpg. Nothing has changed and it worked in the past.
Some printer installations only have a "manage", not a "remove" option. What then??

The only approach I can think of would be to use or restore a backup taken prior to the uninstall.

Give it a try without, and then if that doesn't work, clean the remnants and try again. I'd restart in either case.
