After literally 12 months of this problem, dozens of phone calls and chats with HP support, endless hours of troubleshooting, a new router/modem and STILL having this stupid printer offline issue, I am THRILLED to say that the steps in your video solved the problem!! I had to go all the way to the end (I didn't uninstall the printer though because my driver was up to date), and when I unchecked "SNMP Status Enabled" it was the game changer for me and now I can print! Additionally I changed the "Printer Name or IP Address" under configure port because it was off by one digit compared to the IP Address shown on the printer display. Thank you so much!

*Mine ended up being solved by doing this:* **Printer Properties **Ports **Click option Port with IP address **Click Configure Port **Port Name is greyed out with your specific network IP address but underneath look for "Printer Name or IP Address" **Printer itself has IP address and you type that into "Printer Name or IP Address" on your computer. **In my case Port Name was one specific IP address while my Printer's IP Address was another set of numbers. **Pressed OK and Boom! Followed your steps, all is OK, but printer remained off line. Did the installation proces of my printer via an Acces Point wich turned out to be the problem. Installed it again via my Modem/Router and the printer stays online. Of you encounter the same problem, you could try this, it worked for me 👍🏻
I did uninstall for the HP Smart app- then reinstalled it. It cleared the app and allowed me to install my printer on the app from scratch- connected yay!
Didn’t work for me . It said configuration not available . Also how do i know if i properly uninstalled the driver does it disappear from the device manager
I am still troubleshooting [approx 2 weeks] my HP Photosmart e-AIO D110 series; the was illustrating that both my computer and printer need troubleshooting; the troubleshooter detected that the driver was not installed and the printer is offline; then when I attempt to install the driver illustrates the best driver is installed on the device; illustrated that this device was working fine - I am confused about the problems because I was receiving conflicting information about the problem and solution; I uninstalled all the software and drivers associated with my printer; I delved into the command prompt and started removing files - at least a few that I don't use and discovered a new problem - learned that I can't delete or remove some software files and/or directories i.e., "PCMatic Trial". I disconnected/reconnected my printer multiple occasions during my troubleshooting sessions. I also learned that my HP printer is no longer supported under HP's Notice Web Services Stop Working on certain HP Printers, ePrint and Printer Apps are affected. For more information; View article - HP states if you want to print just install the basic print driver - that didn't work just as their stupid "HP Print and Scan Doctor for Windows" doesn't resolve my problem. After the fourth or fifth re-installation of my printer's software - I finally was able to print a document, although "HP Solutions Center states the printer is disconnected"! I think I am back to Square 1!
🙌 I had no idea what was up with my Printer...it worked absolutely fine for years using it on and off and all of a sudden it started coming up as being Offline. I did mess around with my Network Sharing setting setting up a NAS recently so figured it must have done something...but I use USB and there's nothing there. Well the first option did the trick, it was Offline for some reason! Subbed👍

Something else I've found often works is to power down the printer, shut down the PC, power down your router/modem and then power the whole lot back up.

followed everything up until the point you went into network settings ... totally different setup in Win7 and don't have some of the options you were using there. I have this very problem with my Dell laser printer and it's SO frustrating but I think I followed you ok. When in printer properties, configure printer ports, I'm told this option isn't available! So it STILL tells me my printer is off, even though it's not. :( It's using port WSD-17684 on mine (connected via wi-fi) and my dot matrix is on USB001 (which is currently turned off) but that's not been a problem previously so shouldn't be affecting the Dell?
it took 8 minutes to show the exact same thing I couldn't do when shown in 2 minutes in other videos, when clicking. "Configure Ports" I still get, This operation not supported. Now I need to find a solution to solve G before getting to F, and so on down the line until I get to A. Thanks
Hi Brian, I uninstalled the printer without deleting the drivers and scanned for hardware changes. The problem is, "printers" never came back up and I cannot seem to find it anywhere. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Followed your advice, and went to Printer, but the Pause Printing and Use Printing Offline were never even checked. So there was nothing to uncheck =( Not sure what else to do at this point

Thank you for this video! Going to Services and cycling the Print Spooler on and off (at 2:52 in the video) seemed to fix the problem for me.

You go to "view" at the top then click "show hidden device".
