My family has been using las palmas for decades, both red and green. I just combine more chilies that I keep frozen and add spices, and I also freeze these sauces and just use them for chile con carne, easy stove top enchiladas. You can save a lot of time and work by just keeping onions chopped, cheese shredded, chicken already cooked ahead of time and frozen and sauces premade. But thanks for sharing these tips, , Palmas saves a lot of time during prep for delicious Mexican dishes.
Hi Erica. You did an AWESOME job on this video. It was enjoyable to watch, the chicken enchiladas we're easy to make, the instructions weren't complicated and it was quick. The outcome of the enchiladas looked delicious. This is an EXCELLENT video on how to make chicken enchiladas. Here's a suggestion for anyone who doesn't have a hand held mixer. You can temporarily use a potato masher or fork while the chicken is still hot. Use either one of those items until you get a hand held mixer. EVERYONE TRY and be safe. Stay healthy the best way that YOU can. Have a great day.
I use to make my own green sauce till my friend introduced me to this can of las Palmas.. I put mine in the blender with half of a small tomato, 1garlic c, slice of onion, and add a bunch of cilantro...blend and pour over the enchiladas!( then cheese & oven of course)
grod805 Did you spend even half a minute actually watching the video? This is not about replacing homemade. This is about making a very good meal when you actually have a busy life.
I tried your recipe. Added 3 small avocados, 2/3 c sour cream and some cilantro to canned sauce and blended. It was excellent. I also tried this hand mixer and chicken, great shredding but I had chicken bits all over. So next time perhaps I will put it into a deep bowl! 😊🇨🇦
I’m so happy you liked it!! That sounds super yummy! And yes, always a deep bowl! You can even throw a kitchen towel over the bowl while you’re doing it to avoid anything flying out!
Omg you took the mystery and difficulty out of making enchiladas. For the sauce, I blended 1 can of organic red enchilada sauce with with one can tomato sauce. It turned out delicious 😋.
If anyone wants to save a few calories you can just hear the tortilla vs fry before use and low carb tortillas hold up well in this recipe ! I also add sautéed veggie Just another take on a solid recipe :)
Holy moly !!!now I'm hungry!!! My brother just brought some leftover green enchiladas. They were bombaf!!! And I thought to myself let me see a video on this. And once I saw that " las palms🌴🤣" I was sold. Your recipe looks incredible!!!! That !!! To me is pretty dang Authentic!!!! Thanks for sharing with us. Will definitely try this next weekend!!! Bless u and your family. ☺😊
Thank you for sharing!! All videos I’ve watched were too complicated (and added way more than needed for my opinion) . Your video was nice, quick, short and easy to follow! I have subbed 😊
Loved this recipe. The using the hand mixer to shred the chicken was the bomb. Man did that make things easier, and the chicken was perfectly shredded. The only thing I might do differently next time is to add some flavor and moisture to the chicken filling, like maybe some onion, or green chilis, or cheese. I'm also in need of a recipe for homemade green chili enchilada sauce--the Los Palmas was okay, but I'd like a bit more flavor. Thanks you for posting.
My family has been making it like this too for years. Excepts after we fry them in oil we have the green sauce in a pot on low heat and put them in there right after, Take it out put the chicken in and roll it up. Top with cheese (shredded Monterey Jack) then oven. Top with lettuce sour cream and tapatio
My family has always done it a bottom layer of the tortillas the chicken some sauce and then more tortillas sauce and cheese either way it's going to taste the same and really doesn't matter how it looks just a tip because of rolling them up seems like itll take longer than the way my great grandma grandma and mom do it either way looks delicious great job I was just looking for a quick video to show my grandma what type of sauce to get because of she always makes homemade red sauce but imo the green sauce is better
Great post. I started putting the canned green sauce in the blender, and add some sour cream and maybe green chilies from the can. And of course cheez on top:)_
Authentic or not this is the best video I seen to make this! I seen videos at least 30 minutes long and that's too long. Thanks for the video! Subscriber here!
I wish I could share a photo. They came out so good recipe was so good. The only thing I did different was I boiled my chicken, then put it in a strainer. I put the chicken back in a large pot with new water just a little bit to rehydrate the chicken breast. I put a little bit of olive oil in the water mixture and put one packet of taco seasoning. I let the chicken simmer period and then I strained it again. Now my chicken meat had seasoning in it.
I made this last night. It was delicious and really easy. This is the first time I have used corn tortilla. Yum! Next time I might add some jalapenos for a little heat. Thank you for the recipe.
No I don’t use the extra things I boiled the chicken with. I suppose you could save them to make stock with later though. As far as seasoning the chicken I always season with salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder typically.
@@ScrunchyAZMom thankyou. Yes im going to make them with my kiddos tomarrow wish me luck ☺im pretty sure they will come out yummy . its just i havent made tamales since i was a little girl in the kitchen with my grandma and aunts ... Now for the first time with my little ones.

That is the BEST way to shred chicken!!!
It is!!!
Nice

but messy-I saw a lot flying thru the air. If you have a dog, just let them in the kitchen to vacuum the floor!

I ain't shredding chicken by hand no more. Making this tonight.

Homemade is still better
Of course. But it’s okay to have help sometimes on a busy weeknight.
grod805 Did you spend even half a minute actually watching the video? This is not about replacing homemade. This is about making a very good meal when you actually have a busy life.
I used the items you mentioned in your comment to add to the sauce and it was delicious. My family loved it. Thanks for this tip!
Thanks!!
Its mandatory to add cheese inside each enchilada as well as on top! But to each his own i suppose.
Shredding the chicken with a mixer really works, thanks for the tip!!!!
This helped me feed my kids tonight! Thank you!!!!
Looks yummy...great receipe.
Delicious! I did what you said but used flour tortillas and red enchilada sauce. Sooooo goood. Thanks!

Great Job Erica!! To me that's pretty authentic, regardless what the haters say. LOL
Delicious
that was easy! 😋
So easy! Sometimes I make albondigas that take two hours to make from scratch and sometimes I take shortcuts and make easy food!
Great post. I started putting the canned green sauce in the blender, and add some sour cream and maybe green chilies from the can. And of course cheez on top:)_
Walmart has frozen hatch green Chile which I highly recommend
I do make a reeeally good sour cream green Chile sauce from scratch but it’s so time consuming and on busy nights I just want a cheat lol

Hey just wondering if I dont want to fry the corn tortillas what else can I do for an healthier option???
You can steam them in the microwave to make them pliable!
Can I just warm up the tortillas instead of deep frying them?
Yes. Deep fried foods are not good for your health, so heating them without deep frying them is a good idea.
Chicken breast 1 carrot half an onion 1 celery 3 bay leafs -corn tortillas- las palmas can for enchiladas
How is the process different if I use flour tortillas
LOVE IT!!! 💕
Thanks Erica, Subbed!!! Good Stuff!!!!! Nom Nom!!!!
Looks 😋
Looks, what?
I’m making these
YUMMMMM... 🤤🤤🤤😋😋😋

Is it ok to use el Pato sauce? I always make them the other way but doing it as a easy way thanks for your video new subs here

So u don’t use any of the extra things u boil the chicken with? And no seasoning or did I miss that ?
No I don’t use the extra things I boiled the chicken with. I suppose you could save them to make stock with later though. As far as seasoning the chicken I always season with salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder typically.
@@ScrunchyAZMom omg thanks for that tip on using the mixer . Perfect !!! I was afraid it would turn it to mush.
I love that dress on you😍
I cant believe I haven't shredded chicken like that before. 🤯 Not that I cook all that much lol but I do make enchiladas.
Lol it does make it so so much easier! Just make sure it’s still hot cause it gets harder when it cools down
