Do not take offense to this but i do not like the type of slander they are tryna depict here... You cant compare two top gods of two vastly different mythologies and religion to hype up a fight.... Now i am on of the whos all for freedom of speech but that's just straight up slander.
@@twotimes2648 that's why I said that it's disrespectful cause of its approach of representation. The scene used Shiva as a prop to showcase Zeus as almighty. Now pay attention You have to understand that even for a manga they could have gone for different ways for Zeus to show its dominance but this is not one of the ways TLDR; It's disrespectful cause Shiva was used as prop and there were many other ways to show Zeus power.
@@lorenzruiz4278 going into the show, I expected animation to be the main point. I'm not asking for Mob Psycho, but I think that an important part of a fighting oriented anime or anything are good visuals. The anime failed to deliver it for me, but there are things I like about it too.
Its not as bad as some other stuff out. Seven deadly sins season 4 and early dbs is a prime example of the main stream animes that have worse animation them this one did.

Anyone else notice this fight shares some coincidental similarities to the Atom vs Zeus fight from real steel? 1. Adam=atom. Naked man who copies moves. Training robot with no decoration or polish who copies moves. 2 Zeus =Zeus ( duh) big buff guys who punch REALLY REALLY hard and fast. 3 the humanity /everyman is cheering for the Adam /Atom while the gods / rich people are cheering for Zeus /Zeus 4 Zeus wins but everyone loves and respects Adam /atom. 5 there's even a small family specifically cheering on Adam and atom Conclusion? Both need an anime
I just really hope it get a proper adaptation, not a cashgrab one. I'd like to see David production handle it since the fights are quite similar to Jojo in many cases, especially the Heracles vs Jack the Ripper fight with a lot of asspulls and deception.
I think the reason why these fights are soo damn good is because we know these gods or people from somewhere and we already come in with a sense of familiarity and when you add good story on top of it it just makes it even better
This is my theory, brunhilde will be the volund for Leonidas and he will lose, and then geir will be the volund for sakata kintoki as humanity’s final stand. I say this because kintoki is Japan’s most famous folkloric hero. No way the author is gonna have him lose.
@ the manga has taken some good twists recently. Raiden Tameemon who is japanese lost to shiva and how Buddha is fighting for humanity. At this point anything could happen I just hope they give my dudes leonidas and Tesla justice
@ the manga would be too predictable if all the Japanese characters win. It would be a nice twist for Sakata Kintoki to lose his match and it could be a good way to hype up Leonidas. A hero falls and a king rises or something like that.
Favorite fight and character was Jack the Ripper. 2nd place for fight goes to Adam vs Zeus. 2nd favorite character goes to Kojiro as I just finished Vagabond the day before I started record of ragnarok and was so hyped to see him in it along with musashi and all the others.
While the outcome of later fights got Zeus to tell the others that they need to admit humanity is strong, I really think Adam's fight was the main thing to push that. Zeus is supposed to be the strongest of the gods, Posiden a very close second. Adam pushed Zeus to get serious, brought him to his knees, and didn't fall even when he died. Zeus even said he would have lost if it was a battle of endurance.
Still one of the most memorable fights in media ive ever seen “is there anyone that needs a reason to protect his own children?” Is the hardest response to why aren’t you angry?
I legit teared up when I read the "must protect children" panel- that, combined with the reactions in the audience, the imagery of adam holding up the "first sin" and everybody saluting in acknowledgement to their father, and nature. It was just such a cool fucking series of events, and then they follow it up with Sasaki Kojiro's fight... the hype was intense and I'm glad I didn't have to wait months between the first two fights!
I finally caught up a few minutes ago and goddamn! The art is gorgeous (especially the girls), all the fights are epic, and I love how basically everyone has a huge ass WrestleMania entrance. Adam fight is definitely my favorite.
regarding applicable Biblical characters The strongest on team humanity would be second coming Jesus, fully God and fully man, fighting for humanity against the gods who lead humans astray in disobedience to the creator. Also if instructed to do so Michael would also participate and fight to protect humans. Admittedly the second would be more interesting to see....as for the first well one-sided would be a pale description.
Not even a fair fight. God the father could just wipe all the other gods from existence, since he's the creator. Notice that if you follow all the mythologies, all the gods are created within the universe. GOD created time, space, and matter. So he's outside of time, which means that he was never created, he always existed. He's too OP.
@@Anti-Alphabet_Mafia thattsss wut I’ve been saying yooooo.., Eversince I watched the fight and saw Zeus stopping time for a stupid punch, I was like “ Na, pitting our god against these foos would be overkill”.....
Seeing this on my recommended is what pushed me to read the manga when I saw the trailer. If it wasn't t=for this, I might have started with the anime, but this helped build my curiosity
I know that this is an old video but this is the video that got me into record of Ragnarok. I ended up getting current with the manga then i forgot about it until the anime came out so thank you.
Started this manga a while back out of curiosity and for a bit of a laugh, and it's very curious and funny, but the fights have been so well thought out! All four have been epic, but Adam vs Zeus and Heracles (Hercules would be the Roman name for him) vs Jack really tap into some serious feels. Heracles and Jack, as a character dynamic, was a stroke of unexpected genius. I also like how the writing frames the story itself - the humour, language and weirdness tells us it's not to be taken too seriously, which is probably important to avoid real people taking the representation of their religion as insulting, and it also puts its own spin and backstory to each character, separating them from their traditional image. Not sure if that's the intent, but it seems like a clever work-around to me. Also, Buddha is awesome and hilarious.
I don't know enough about Asian religions, but I think the representations of Adam, Zeus, and Heracles was done very well. Adam is portrayed as a loving husband, Zeus is a arrogant douchebag, and Heracles is honorable even with the hardships he experienced.
Can’t believe you skipped Zeus using his incredibly powerful move that had everyone in suspense only to be easily counted, as well as humanity’s reaction to Adam during the fight, despite their differences all of humanity cried and cheered together and I think there is a lot of philosophical impact in that
I gotta say- my favorite part was something that wasn't covered. Where even at the end- Zeus admitted that were it a fight of endurance, he'd have to bend the knee and take the loss.
The fight felt like it was written to do Adam dirty. You can clearly see how Zeus has no chance. Even at the time when he changed his form, he was taking hits from Adam directly. His form was even said to decrease his endurance which means he was already weakened while taking hits. Zeus got literally knocked out in the first half of the fight. It makes sense that Adam is taken damage from his own strength because all of his attacks were not meant to be for his body but he wasn't taking any other damage than that. Zeus did not hit him until Adam's eyes gave up. Zeus should've been already dead before the fight came to that point.
Adam: Is There Any Man Who Needs A Reason To Protect His Own Children! My Eyes: *"Tears"* Me: He..y Why Am Cry-ing? *Aaaaaaaaah Fatheeeeeerrr* *Adam The Best Father We Got In* *Manga!!*
Adam was definitely my favorite it's a shame he lost. Also I'm looking forward to Rasputin vs Anubis: A fight between the scariest God and the scariest human.
I remember seeing Adam for the first time and thought, “Damn, he’s a pretty boy.” His beatdown on Zeus was so cool and I was rooting for him out of sheer spite against the Gods. … but then his famous quote dropped and I started sobbing. Instantly became a favourite. I started the series because of Qin Shi Huang (I kept seeing him on my feed) and wasn’t expecting to grow attached to another character instead The quote “I can hear a baby crying from the stands… don’t cry… father will protect you” THAT PART SHATTERED ME! I WAS FULL ON SOBBING AND THE ONLY THING STOPPING ME FROM SCREAMING WAS MY PARENTS BEING AROUND I was in shambles when Adam was revealed to have lost. But the realisation that, although dead, his body’s instincts made him continue showering Zeus with his fists, just crushed my soul. Not even death could stop Adam from beating down the God who posed a threat to his children
Man, all the fights in the manga are top level, the third one made me tear up and the Hercules's death was so sad damn, i loved how Jaco acknowledged that he is a person that shouldn't have died and that he want so see him again
I couldn't help but cry my eyes out Adam loved his children all this children and would protect us in a heart beat the Anime that just came out really captures that
I haven't read this manga and have only seen the fight of Adam vs Zeus on like a youtube video. But man does this make me want to see this animated. I really hope it gets an anime adaptation.
Anyone notice the time duration of the match representing their both respective backstory 7:13 like the 7 is for the god creating the world building all living things and resting on the seventh day and as we know the olympus have 13 gods before poseidon killing adamas so yeah.. props to zeus using adamas name as him final form
All of these fights are godly already, quite literally. Lu Bu Vs Thor showed the strength and drive of a human. Adam vs Zeus was the best vs the best. Sasaki vs Poseidon was a fight about someone who’s never won vs someone who’s never lost. And Jack vs Hercalues showed us humanities malice vs Hercalues justice.
My favorite character is Brunhilde, I think. I know that right now she still lacks some depth, her character seems a bit shallow, with only 2 emotional modes, crazy b!tch or overconfident manipulative smug woman. But I have faith she'll get more development with time, since she has time to do it, she doesn't need to be almost fully developed for 1 fight. So she's the character I'm looking forward most whenever she appears, expecting some new info on her and the Valkyries, or the general plot behind the stage. If not Brunhilde, then Göll (I had to look up the name, she's the side Valkyrie that follows Brunhilde). For similar reasons, Göll has so much potential. One wild guess I have is that Brunhilde will eventually die, forcing Göll to change drastically for the last few fights.
You forgot part where she cry when hercules died she not heartless but hardest choices require strongest of wills she someone who would get soul stone etc. Plus she intelligent tactical etc also wonder how come she didnt have sigurd Siegfried fight is he technically divine etc.

I mean you coulda told me there was a manga where Nikola Tesla, Rasputin, Adam, Zeus, and Jack the Ripper are all part of a giant tournament arc and I would have instantly dropped whatever I was doing to read it
You got your wish somewhat. There's a video of Adam vs Zeus at 1.8 million. Pretty darn impressive for a manga. Was posted around the time of your comment.
Its on the top 10 Most selling monthly Mangas since half the year its Not that unknown anymore
It's gonna be like Solo Leveling in terms of rising popularity and people wanting an anime of it.
Well guess what.
An Anime adaptation has been confirmed :o
Adam lost but had all of humanity's love and support, Jack won but had no love or support in the end.
I like how they parallel one another
You.... Are a.... Sim- I mean you are a a guy with no mustache.
I think Adam got everyone’s support to be honest. He won the crowd.
Justin Y was supposed to be the greatest commenter ever existed in most videos , and he lost, and then suddenly Just Some Guy without a Mustache succeeded him albeit no one is making it out as great a deal as Justin Y. I like how they parallel each other too.

Heracles IS Hercules. Just Greek and Roman. Its like Jupiter and Zeus. Or Neptune and Poseidon.
Same as Peter and Pierre, thing is, he was Greek. So it makes sense he would be called by his Greek version of his name. As I assume you do not go around calling Pierre every Peter you come across.
He’s called both in the manga... not sure if that was a translation mistake but still
Romans didn’t really just steal Greek gods. They had similarities but weren’t direct translations
bsdacres the romans based their gods off the Greek once they thought the old Greeks were like a advanced civi before them. (They saw themselves as the Greeks a successor )
I think Heracles is Greek and Hercules is Roman, but Hercules got so popular that everyone knows them as Hercules.
My favorite currently is probably Buddha because the design they chose is well unexpected for that figure but at the same time gives that energy of you won’t even be taken serious
Yeah, I didn’t expect Buddha to looks like a frat boy, but he looks pretty cool and gives off “I do what I want” kind of energy.
To be honest I noticed one mistake according to wikipedia buddha was born in Nepal lumbini and how is he Indian god I don't understand history is confusing .Can anyone explain
@@selfproclaimedphantomlord2352 it is very simple I am Nepali I will explain it to u .It seems u like history. the think is god in hindu mythology are called Indian gods by outside but actually the Hinduism is originated from santam dharma which was followed by many kingdom .Nepal is one of oldest south Asian country it was a hindu kingdom like India but later became secular state the think is not only buddha but goddess sita was born in Nepal in janakpur and many holy temples are found in Nepal .The think is India and we have very similar culture and religion. And buddha was born in Lumbini and he later he went on journey to earn enlightenment in india .buddha birthplace is Nepal but work place (karma vumi) was in india and he is many time considered avatar of God vishnu .And buddhism and Hinduism has many similarities. More than term Indian god we use term hindu god. 80% of Nepali follow Hindusim .Nowadays there is fight going on because of land dispute. And people saying this like godesses sita who was born in janakpur was born in bihar(Indian state) and Nepali prime minister saying RAM god was born in Nepal .Actually ram god was born in India and sita goddess was born in Nepal.Due to this both sides are angry there was already in past a matter on buddha was born in India by Indian pm there is lot of dispute going on this topic is sensitive .
Nepotaku King Nepotaku King awesome reply, anything mythology-wise interests me a lot. Much less mythology from the world’s oldest living religion. Didn’t Buddhism break off from Hinduism? Or at least evolved from?

Do not take offense to this but i do not like the type of slander they are tryna depict here...

@@twotimes2648 that's why I said that it's disrespectful cause of its approach of representation.
The scene used Shiva as a prop to showcase Zeus as almighty.
Now pay attention
You have to understand that even for a manga they could have gone for different ways for Zeus to show its dominance but this is not one of the ways
TLDR; It's disrespectful cause Shiva was used as prop and there were many other ways to show Zeus power.
Unfortunate that the animation did not live up to it

Its not as bad as some other stuff out. Seven deadly sins season 4 and early dbs is a prime example of the main stream animes that have worse animation them this one did.

Anyone else notice this fight shares some coincidental similarities to the Atom vs Zeus fight from real steel?
1. Adam=atom. Naked man who copies moves. Training robot with no decoration or polish who copies moves.
2 Zeus =Zeus ( duh) big buff guys who punch REALLY REALLY hard and fast.
3 the humanity /everyman is cheering for the Adam /Atom while the gods / rich people are cheering for Zeus /Zeus
4 Zeus wins but everyone loves and respects Adam /atom.
5 there's even a small family specifically cheering on Adam and atom
Conclusion?
Both need an anime

@Johnny Weedseed well real steal Zeus was beat up to the point he was making some wierd creaky noises so maaaayybbbeee?
All the fights in this manga slap but it’s prob gonna be a while before it gets adapted
I hope it will be adapted
The music of different cultures and those kinetic fights would be awesome in anime.
It'll be weird seeing EVERYONE speaking Japanese
Hopefully for the best. Half assed adaptations are worse than not getting adapted.
I just really hope it get a proper adaptation, not a cashgrab one. I'd like to see David production handle it since the fights are quite similar to Jojo in many cases, especially the Heracles vs Jack the Ripper fight with a lot of asspulls and deception.
"Found you" shook me to my soul when I first read it.
Adam's fight was my favorite fight. His care free nature. His devotion to humanity and eve. I just characters like him. Effortlessly a bad ass.
that eel's and escalators reference is top class.

Adam dying while fighting to the end and standing when Zeus wins while on the ground beaten really drives home the message of this manga
Amazing fight
I almost cried when Adam died, I was so hopeful that he would pull that W
Adam honestly left me in awe. From his entrance to his ability and most importanly his attitude best dad ever
In any story, someone who dies while standing receives the greatest respect.
Sasaki Kojiro was and is my favorite. He represents the ability of humanity to adapt and learn to survive in any situation.
@LIU XINGYAN dont underestimate japanese nationalism
I always thought Kintoki would fight Beelzebub
Demon vs Demon Slayer
Fam... Saraki kojiro was AMAZING in both vagabond and ROR
I think choosing whatever lu bu to fight thor was poor choice their probably better so on
I also finished Vagabond before reading this and seeing Sasaki Kojiro with eyesight seems unfamiliar to me lol
Adam fight is definitely my favorite.

regarding applicable Biblical characters
The strongest on team humanity would be second coming Jesus, fully God and fully man, fighting for humanity against the gods who lead humans astray in disobedience to the creator. Also if instructed to do so Michael would also participate and fight to protect humans. Admittedly the second would be more interesting to see....as for the first well one-sided would be a pale description.
@@idminister hell no
Not even a fair fight. God the father could just wipe all the other gods from existence, since he's the creator. Notice that if you follow all the mythologies, all the gods are created within the universe. GOD created time, space, and matter. So he's outside of time, which means that he was never created, he always existed. He's too OP.

I love how Record of Ragnarok reinvent Gods and Human I know it's not historically accurate but boy oh boy it's so insanely good.
Can’t believe you skipped Zeus using his incredibly powerful move that had everyone in suspense only to be easily counted, as well as humanity’s reaction to Adam during the fight, despite their differences all of humanity cried and cheered together and I think there is a lot of philosophical impact in that
"Thanks for the cool move, Pops."
I gotta say- my favorite part was something that wasn't covered.
Where even at the end- Zeus admitted that were it a fight of endurance, he'd have to bend the knee and take the loss.
Here after this tragic animation
Yeah, "animation." Lol
I feel you
Pain
The fight felt like it was written to do Adam dirty. You can clearly see how Zeus has no chance. Even at the time when he changed his form, he was taking hits from Adam directly. His form was even said to decrease his endurance which means he was already weakened while taking hits. Zeus got literally knocked out in the first half of the fight. It makes sense that Adam is taken damage from his own strength because all of his attacks were not meant to be for his body but he wasn't taking any other damage than that. Zeus did not hit him until Adam's eyes gave up. Zeus should've been already dead before the fight came to that point.
Tough luck for Adam. But for me he is the clear winner.
this fight was wonderful. I almost cried when Adam said that no man needs a reason to protect his children
i really hope we see Adam come back, his character was so cool
I’m speechless of how perfect this video will be before I would even watch it!

I started the series because of Qin Shi Huang (I kept seeing him on my feed) and wasn’t expecting to grow attached to another character instead
The quote “I can hear a baby crying from the stands… don’t cry… father will protect you” THAT PART SHATTERED ME! I WAS FULL ON SOBBING AND THE ONLY THING STOPPING ME FROM SCREAMING WAS MY PARENTS BEING AROUND
I was in shambles when Adam was revealed to have lost. But the realisation that, although dead, his body’s instincts made him continue showering Zeus with his fists, just crushed my soul. Not even death could stop Adam from beating down the God who posed a threat to his children
The Legendary Loser was my favorite character everything about him was amazing and insparational. He murked Poisidon's smug ass.😂😂😂
Netflix: We ruined Death Note... This one too!

Until today when a chapter updates, I still see a lot of comments about adam vs zeus. The impact of that fight is really monumental
I just finished this fight and I actually started hyperventilating near the end, damn this was a good fight.
I’ve seen tons of masked man videos but never one this old, that intro caught me off guard
All of these fights are godly already, quite literally. Lu Bu Vs Thor showed the strength and drive of a human. Adam vs Zeus was the best vs the best. Sasaki vs Poseidon was a fight about someone who’s never won vs someone who’s never lost. And Jack vs Hercalues showed us humanities malice vs Hercalues justice.
that fight was legendary ! the presentation the intensity ♥!
This Manga solidly placed itself as one of my eternal favorites.
7:36 Eels and Escalators. Spongebob is my go to when it comes to references. You have earned a fucking sub right there.
Damn, the animation from your intro is better than the Record of ragrnarok anime
