Imagine an RoR themed fighting game where instead of using the shows characters, they use other historical/mythological figures and put them in a roster where your forced to put a human character against a god character

I hear that argument all the time, but if anything, ZEUS was the one who was the underdog, going against someone who can perfectly copy all his abilities and had to push himself into most dangerous form just to have a fighting chance by overloading that technique. He was the one going against seemingly impossible odds against a "plot armor" technique and still managed to pull it off (Though I too wish Adam had managed to win.).

I honestly like Raiden and Shivas more because it was more like two of the same character fighting each other. Even shiva respected raiden even though raiden lost. He even stood strong with the lover by his side, happily. Since humans can't equal gods in terms of raw power, they gave them the chance to prove other qualities. Leonidas will dominate the start, defending and overpowering apollo. Apollo gets serious for the first time and pushes him back and wins the mid-late game. And then leonidas will possibly change his shield into his spear to in the end dominating the end for a victory
I believe the final round is going to be a simultaneous kill. Which will set up a new final sudden death or the draw buying humanity a new lease on life until the next ragnarok.
From the way Siegfried subplot is going on, i think in the last fight with him and Brynhildr as his Volund against Odin he will pull off spectacular win to show how he goes against their tragic fate. I mean, whole RoR is about defying fate.
I think Leonidas' shield is going to transform into a spear at some point/or Apollo is going to charge head fast at it and it just protrudes out from the shield and stabs him.
Leonidas is going to pull out a win. Either by outright winning, or while dying he still takes out Apollo in the end which is a victory to him all the same.
To be honest my bets on Ragnarok are at the beginning and to the End. My Guesses are Who I think has a great first impression then who I think will deal the Final Blow. And my Bets were: Thor -Thor, Zeus - Adam, Poseidon - Sasaki, Hercules - Hercules, Shiva - Raiden, Buddha - Buddha, Hades - Hades, Beelzebub - Beelzebub. And Currently Leonidas. To be honest what I think will be the end of Ragnarok is that the Gods won however there will be some Immortals who will reconsider the Higher Gods Choice to destroy Humanity. And it's either Spare them or Reshaped the world.
I don't think Qin Shi Huang's Valkyrie has an innate ability, but rather Qin himself had a change of heart.. his martial arts is about absolute defense.. returning all attacks back to it's user.. but Qin realized it won't work against Hades so he transformed his armor into a sword, an offensive weapon.. he went from full defense to full offense and that's how he defeated Hades..Valkyries transform based on synchronizing the hearts of the Valkyrie and the fighter therefore they both went on the offensive to fight back Hades..

I think Apollo is going to win against Leonidas. Unless something changes midfight, Apollo is not just toying with Leonidas but is overwhelming him. Apollo is basically a counter to the Spartan just like Jack was to Hercules. Also while its fair to say that Qin Shi Huang dominated the fight against Hades, he did end up losing an arm and was wounded so much that he's in intensive care. Beelzebub was very close to losing to Tesla, but he was able to dissect the Tesla Warp's weakenesses throughout the fight. Also can I say that if Beelzebub didnt pull out that Chaos stunt he probably would've won anyway.
Adam should have won, his ability is the full counter and him being closer to a god than any other human made it silly that he went out the way he did. Draw at best.
Yea its a bummer that all it took for him to lose was blood thrown on his eyes, after that he was overwhelmed and used everything in his power to try to win, to the point where it killed him.

I'm still mad at round 8 result. Not because of Beelzebub, but because of phacing. This was the first and the last chance for humans to take 2 points lead. And author decided to make third tie in a row? Why? It's 4-4 now, neither team can take 2 points lead now (6-4 is just impossible), soo at the end we will have FIVE ties in ROW. FIVE TIES. It just pisses me off

I mean because of Buddha switching sides there could be 14 fights, and even a 7-x lead could end in a 7-7 end result, perhaps I think Zeus made at one point pretty clear that the rule text is "which team gets first 7 victories wins", but he also said that there are "13 fighters for each team", literally one second before. So it's kinda a mystery, and there's also the possibilty of a draw in one fight.
I actually predicted that would be the case, with 13 rounds logically the author would make it a 6-6 tie with the final round being the tie breaker, with either the humans winning or the gods (or most of them) having a change of heat and deciding to spare humanity. So the only real excitement comes from the fights themselves and which round will go to whom. And the idea of knowing where the story is going to end but no idea how we get there, in and of itself isn’t a bad thing, it can be amazing if done properly, and Record of Ragnarok has done that and more, with every fight after round three making you want to root for both fighters.

My problem is the result being 2-2 than 3-3 than 4-4 than 5-5 than 6-6 with no dynamics or surprises. Ragnarok kicked ass with that 0-2 for gods. It was unpredictable and exciting. Now it's just tie tie tie tie tie. Why humans couldn't take 2 point lead at one point of tournament? Or gods again. It would be much more fun exciting and unpredictable. Now we know that whichever side takes r9, opposite will take r10. It was same for round 8 and round 6.. This shitty tie at 4-4 just makes way to 6-6 boring and predictable.

honestly, I'm just excited that they're almost done with Greek gods. Don't get me wrong, they're fun and well realized but I'm getting hella sick of the mostly Greek + Japanese influence and I'm ready for more exploration. Anubis is hype (wish they had Set or Horus too), Rasputin is hype, Odin is hype, and the next rounds are gonna be great. The only downside is the large amount of Japanese fighters (both gods and humans) left, though as this is a manga/anime series I can't be too upset. The figures they picked are cool, I just wish there was more variation of cultural identity, especially with the divine.

Beelzebub literally couldnt die no matter how he tried, hell till the Hades death he wanted to die. I dont see author pulling the draw unless he had fleshed out Tesla backstory more and make us feel more emotionally attached to him.

I do not think rasputin is going to be in the tournament, at all. I think Apollo wins after telling Leonidas that if he just stood at home instead of defying him, he would have taken care of the persians as punishment for not honoring his rules. That revelation breaks Leonidas emotionally as Leonidas then realices that he not only is responsible for the death of his best warriors and some of his best friends, but also has putting all that hatred on Apollo for no reason thus losing his reason for fighting.
it's heavily implied that the blood splatter was the last straw that caused his eyes to overstrain. they would have gone sooner or later, but given how close the fight was, just 1 or 2 more seconds would have given him the win probably. Adam vs Zues is probably a 6/10 times adam wins, 4 times he loses, and we saw one of those 4 times.

@novoid- I have a theory that Apollo's bow is for decoration and the sun itself is his bow. Now if he was fighting Simo, I would of written him with a eye power. Idk what I'd name it but it'd be whatever the sun reflects is his field of vision like the sun itself is his eyes. Have the battlefield be similar to Jack the ripper and Simo has the battlefield advantage. And then give Apollo his chairiot and bow
@novoid- but that's only how I'd write it that way it turns the tables on humanity and then have Simo deduce Apollo's eye power, snipe like a hip or somthing, Apollo crashes the chariot then it's like a game of cat and mouse. Apollo hunting Simo out of sport and not relying on the eye power at first until he gets serious. In this scenario I'd make Simo run out of bullets eventually and havethe last bullet hit Apollo's head but Apollo fires an arrow piercing Simo's heartand burning his insides into oblivion. Or scenario two, last shot kills Apollo. That way in 1 scenario fans get a tie they want, or B fans see the greatest sniper beat a god of archery. As this round, I think Leonidas is going to have use his brain win, assuming he does. As for Apollo, like there is so much the writer/manga can do. Make his arrows out the sun, red giant stars, blue stars, white dwarf and like each arrow could have different effects. But yeah, odds are rlly stacked against Leonidas, fingers crossed he wins so that my boy Simo potentially wins.no point in having 2 long range users win their fights
@@vincenttumblin5621 they could make Apollo's weapon his harp that shoots 4 arrows at a time or the notes change the arrow type poison, flaming ect. as for simo i think his dog will be his super cool ability to track the enemy (similar to Lu Bu and the red hare) and have a volundr that switches from machine gun to sniper rifle (the two used in the war) to be honest simo is overestimated not to be a downer but simo should be more respected for his survival skills than his shooting not that his shooting was bad but the reason it was so easy for him to around 500 people is because it was snowing during the war he was in and the Russians were dressed in brown uniforms (and the soldiers were mainly civilians) standing out like big walking turd targets but he built a bunker out of snow and hid for a long time with hardly any food for weeks

From the way Siegfried subplot is going on, i think in the last fight with him and Brynhildr as his Volund against Odin he will pull off spectacular win to show how he goes against their tragic fate. I mean, whole RoR is about defying fate.
I think Leonidas' shield is going to transform into a spear at some point/or Apollo is going to charge head fast at it and it just protrudes out from the shield and stabs him.
We might even get our first actual draw where both die

To be honest my bets on Ragnarok are at the beginning and to the End. My Guesses are Who I think has a great first impression then who I think will deal the Final Blow.

I don't think Qin Shi Huang's Valkyrie has an innate ability, but rather Qin himself had a change of heart.. his martial arts is about absolute defense.. returning all attacks back to it's user.. but Qin realized it won't work against Hades so he transformed his armor into a sword, an offensive weapon.. he went from full defense to full offense and that's how he defeated Hades..Valkyries transform based on synchronizing the hearts of the Valkyrie and the fighter therefore they both went on the offensive to fight back Hades..

I think Apollo is going to win against Leonidas. Unless something changes midfight, Apollo is not just toying with Leonidas but is overwhelming him. Apollo is basically a counter to the Spartan just like Jack was to Hercules. Also while its fair to say that Qin Shi Huang dominated the fight against Hades, he did end up losing an arm and was wounded so much that he's in intensive care. Beelzebub was very close to losing to Tesla, but he was able to dissect the Tesla Warp's weakenesses throughout the fight. Also can I say that if Beelzebub didnt pull out that Chaos stunt he probably would've won anyway.

I'm still mad at round 8 result. Not because of Beelzebub, but because of phacing. This was the first and the last chance for humans to take 2 points lead. And author decided to make third tie in a row? Why? It's 4-4 now, neither team can take 2 points lead now (6-4 is just impossible), soo at the end we will have FIVE ties in ROW. FIVE TIES. It just pisses me off

I mean because of Buddha switching sides there could be 14 fights, and even a 7-x lead could end in a 7-7 end result, perhaps I think Zeus made at one point pretty clear that the rule text is "which team gets first 7 victories wins", but he also said that there are "13 fighters for each team", literally one second before. So it's kinda a mystery, and there's also the possibilty of a draw in one fight.
I actually predicted that would be the case, with 13 rounds logically the author would make it a 6-6 tie with the final round being the tie breaker, with either the humans winning or the gods (or most of them) having a change of heat and deciding to spare humanity.
So the only real excitement comes from the fights themselves and which round will go to whom.
And the idea of knowing where the story is going to end but no idea how we get there, in and of itself isn’t a bad thing, it can be amazing if done properly, and Record of Ragnarok has done that and more, with every fight after round three making you want to root for both fighters.

My problem is the result being 2-2 than 3-3 than 4-4 than 5-5 than 6-6 with no dynamics or surprises. Ragnarok kicked ass with that 0-2 for gods. It was unpredictable and exciting. Now it's just tie tie tie tie tie. Why humans couldn't take 2 point lead at one point of tournament? Or gods again. It would be much more fun exciting and unpredictable. Now we know that whichever side takes r9, opposite will take r10. It was same for round 8 and round 6.. This shitty tie at 4-4 just makes way to 6-6 boring and predictable.

honestly, I'm just excited that they're almost done with Greek gods. Don't get me wrong, they're fun and well realized but I'm getting hella sick of the mostly Greek + Japanese influence and I'm ready for more exploration. Anubis is hype (wish they had Set or Horus too), Rasputin is hype, Odin is hype, and the next rounds are gonna be great. The only downside is the large amount of Japanese fighters (both gods and humans) left, though as this is a manga/anime series I can't be too upset. The figures they picked are cool, I just wish there was more variation of cultural identity, especially with the divine.

Personally I still feel the Tesla vs Beelzebub fight should have be a draw due self destruction, but that’s just me. The only other potential draw could be Anubis vs Rasputin if they fight each other.
Beelzebub literally couldnt die no matter how he tried, hell till the Hades death he wanted to die. I dont see author pulling the draw unless he had fleshed out Tesla backstory more and make us feel more emotionally attached to him.

I do not think rasputin is going to be in the tournament, at all. Honestly cant say much about results of Apollo vs Leonidas fight cuz we dont know shit about Apollo abilities. Sincerely tho i think with looking at who is left to fight in the future i see easily Apollo and Loki taking the L and seeing 6-6 score before the 13th fight. Especially that this show is about defying fate and it would be fitting for Leonidasa to get karma for that unlucky prophecy.

@novoid- I have a theory that Apollo's bow is for decoration and the sun itself is his bow. Now if he was fighting Simo, I would of written him with a eye power. Idk what I'd name it but it'd be whatever the sun reflects is his field of vision like the sun itself is his eyes. Have the battlefield be similar to Jack the ripper and Simo has the battlefield advantage. And then give Apollo his chairiot and bow
@novoid- but that's only how I'd write it that way it turns the tables on humanity and then have Simo deduce Apollo's eye power, snipe like a hip or somthing, Apollo crashes the chariot then it's like a game of cat and mouse. Apollo hunting Simo out of sport and not relying on the eye power at first until he gets serious. In this scenario I'd make Simo run out of bullets eventually and havethe last bullet hit Apollo's head but Apollo fires an arrow piercing Simo's heartand burning his insides into oblivion. Or scenario two, last shot kills Apollo. That way in 1 scenario fans get a tie they want, or B fans see the greatest sniper beat a god of archery. As this round, I think Leonidas is going to have use his brain win, assuming he does. As for Apollo, like there is so much the writer/manga can do. Make his arrows out the sun, red giant stars, blue stars, white dwarf and like each arrow could have different effects. But yeah, odds are rlly stacked against Leonidas, fingers crossed he wins so that my boy Simo potentially wins.no point in having 2 long range users win their fights
@@vincenttumblin5621 they could make Apollo's weapon his harp that shoots 4 arrows at a time or the notes change the arrow type poison, flaming ect. as for simo i think his dog will be his super cool ability to track the enemy (similar to Lu Bu and the red hare) and have a volundr that switches from machine gun to sniper rifle (the two used in the war) to be honest simo is overestimated not to be a downer but simo should be more respected for his survival skills than his shooting not that his shooting was bad but the reason it was so easy for him to around 500 people is because it was snowing during the war he was in and the Russians were dressed in brown uniforms (and the soldiers were mainly civilians) standing out like big walking turd targets but he built a bunker out of snow and hid for a long time with hardly any food for weeks
