To those who are saying Gaz's recipes look too fancy, complex or expensive. I'm a broke uni student and I use so many of his recipes for meal prep. The majority of the recipes that I have in rotation come from this channel. They are not that expensive and a lot of ingredients aren't just a one time purchase. You buy a tub of miso, it lasts forever...also if you go to Asian supermarkets, a lot of this stuff is a lot cheaper than in regular supermarkets. You can also substitute a lot of things. There are a few steps but you don't have to be super precise and they really are quite basic recipes. Give them a go! You may surprise yourself.
Totally agree with you....
Agreed! I use a lot of Gaz's recipes in my meal prep now, but was a little intimidated by them early on. I think the key is to just go into cooking with an open mind and be flexible with your ingredients :) It's not as hard (but just as delicious) as you think!
@@lengray7401 ...exactly....and watching him has encouraged me to be creative and learn to substitute stuff too.
Are you one of those “broke” students whose parents owe 3 houses and 5 cars and helps their kids out? 😒
Absolutely not. I don't owe you my life story but I can assure you, absolutely not.
I've been vegetarian for 19 years and have never seen tofu meatballs before. Genius. Thank you.
Wow
When some people say vegetarian they mean vegan. Noticed it varies from area to area. I have been pure vegan for 57 years this November. I love this food it's the way I used to cook and I got hurt and then I got lazy. Watching this I see it's no harder than how I have been eating! It's just stopping and thinking before you put things together. Not taking away from what you do because you have a flare for it. It's beautiful it is very motivating. And that is how I used to eat grains except for I had whole barley. Hulled but whole. It is much harder to find now. Pearl has been rolled until they germ in the middle is gone and that's where the nutrients are. I've lost a lot of my contacts for food cuz I cooked for many. When I get resettled I will probably start finding people who carry the Whole Foods again. Thank you so much for this video💜
Great you will be next level read this book for great feeling in work or home “ philosophy of divine love” from amazon
Didn't think I would ever be jealous of kale ... but here we are 🤷🏻♀️
Exactly 😍😍
😂😂
Riiighhht?! Gaz is a hottie!! Fa sho!
😂
😂🤣😂 Same
Get yourself someone who looks at you like Gaz looks at his kale. 🌱❤️
And the tender sound in his voice when talking about kale ❤🌱😂
I was today years old when I realized how nice your hands are and now I can't stop looking at them
You spark my own creativity, and reminded me to keep focused on good food. I will do better today. Sometimes, I believe the thoughts that tell me, cooking is too much work, and too expensive. I forgot the feelings of fulfillment and the choice of Abundance.
This! ⚡️👏🏽
Ha! Gaaaaaay!
I made the Mac and cheese recipe, and it was really good! The next time I made it I didn’t have any but milks ready, so I improvised! I put 3 cups of veg broth and 1 cup cashew cream. How I made the cashew cream was soaking 1 cup cashews over night/ boiling them for 1 hour. Then add to a blender with 1/2 cup veg broth, 2 tbs nutritional yeast, and salt and pepper to taste. Blend it all till smooth and put it in the Mac when it says to add the milk. I am not even exaggerating when I say it takes the recipe to a whole new level of delicious
I've been vegetarian for 39 years and have used tofu a lot. however, i know it takes on whatever spices, etc., you introduce to it, i love your meatballs. Thank you.
Every time Gaz says “kale” his eyes sing “bow chicka bow bow” 😂
Thanks for being so magic and bringing never fail recipes to my table. ❤️
"Matt Damnon nuts"--LOL!! I love your outtakes during and after, they're hilarious. Keep 'em comin'!
That was funny! 😂

I personally couldn’t live without massage 💞
@@VeganLiving247 oooo truuuue! I do love massages 🤍
I came straight to the comments to see if anyone else quoted that 😂😂
Seems an especially odd thing to say at the END of quarantine…
Massages are the best!,, I used to have one every week and the one giving the massage was expert and thorough. It was more than wonderful!!!

I was desperate for some meal making inspiration and found your channel. So flipping glad, you're definitely my new favorite. Made the meatballs (while watching the rest of the video) with the herbs and spices I have on hand, they're SUPER yummy. Thank you so much, please don't stop! 🙌
Just tried the Vietnamese 'meatballs', loved it! Can't wait to see your next adventures in the countryside 🥰
How much Sriracha did you use? They were burning off my mouth! It looks like, to me, he used more like 1 tbsp but the written recipe calls for 3?
This looks fantastic, can’t wait to try recipe🙌🏽
I loved the simplicity of these meals. I love a good kale salad😍
End of an era 🥲 can’t wait to see what’s in store next Gaz! And can’t wait to try these, especially the kale salad hehe
Some incredible recipes there, going to try them all! (I think my kids will be most keen for the ‘meatballs’, haven’t been happy with any of the vegan mince /TVP ones we’ve made so far!
All the best for your move to the countryside! Can’t wait to see what the future has in store for you and your channel :) 💚
Well I never thought you'd move to the countryside, took you for a hardcore city bloke!😳 Terrible preconceptions. I love living in the countryside growing my own food 🥬, I bet you'll be growing all the exiting veggies you can't buy at the store. Have fun!
Good for you, moving to the country! I will miss that lovely kitchen, but can't wait to see the new kitchen and the garden! All of those dishes look fantastic!
First meal looks incredible ! Can’t wait to try it
Just made the ancient grains! YUM YUM YUM! Going to be one of my go-to lunches from now on I think. Making the Mac and Cheese a bit later today as well. Can't wait.
Yay! Its about to start! Love these videos! 🎉
Good for you! Whoohoooo! That's so exciting Gaz!!! Congrats! Can't wait to see!
Just made the first one and I have to tell you it was amazing! Loved the meatballs, the sauce and the noodles balanced out the saltiness of the rest
Oh yeah I’m definitely making the mixed grain stew. 100%.
Kale salad is so ... delicious 🤤 I wanna make the Vietnamese meatballs looks 🔥 Thanks for the recipes and you hurry and get that kitchen done. Congratulations on your new home😉
I am so happy I found your channel I was getting bored of my vegan meals. Thanks to you I’m excited to cook this week!
I love your vibe. it makes me so happy!
The vegiballs look amazing! I always prefer when you do stuff from more basic ingredience without relying on meat replacements. Everyone is free to use them, but for me that is not why I watch cooking shows. The vegan cheese I'll just leave out :P
This guy's "simple" is everyone else's "fancy"
I know 😝 I’d be ashamed to show G what I think a quick lunch is. But for real, I learn to mix ingredients better w/this channel.
I was thinking that! But I love watching his channel and getting ideas.
True ..they are all complicated!
🤣 so true
He doesnt say fast ;) but it is just not so difficult. Only problem sooo many steps and many ingredients. But so worth it. This makes vegan heavenly delicious even for a carnivore like me;)
My favourite recipes thus far! Thank you!
Excited to see this new chapter in your life. Nothing better than growing and harvesting your own food (non animal). Congrats!
I love watching these videos, always so entertaining with amazing recipes! ❤️ 🌱🌱🌱🌱 ❤️
OMG It looks Delicious, for sure i wanna try it.
I love the green plants hanging around happiness. Its healthy! Great Job!
All your pottery is so nice, I mean all the dishes you’re using, so amazing!
Moving upward. Love it. Not only do I get great vegan inspiration but the laughs too!
Yup, such a great balance! Well edited videos ☺️👌🏽

🌱🌱🌱🌱 love alllll of your recipes!! Slowly but surely getting through each of them!!! Can't wait for the rural edition!
Thanks as always Gaz, been vegan for over a year and you've been influential in the food I eat. I've now gone on to make my own video cooking in the woods, what an influence you've had!
Congratulations on the big change Gaz! That's awesome! I did that too 5 months ago and so far I am loving it! 🌻🍅🥬🍓 Living in nature, listening to birds singing and breathing fresh air is magical 🌠

Just made the ancient grain meal - so so good! 🥰
Can't wait to try all of these! That lentil/grain bowl looks so simple and delicious! And so excited to see your new kitchen- it's a dream to build one exactly how you want and to have the ability to grow your own food- I hope its a place we can all visit!
Look up khichdi
I am brand new to plant based eating day six…. It’s a challenging transition I said I would never eat tofu, but after seeing that recipe it looks so easy and it looks like it would taste amazing, I’m definitely going to try it.💯👌🏼
@Silverlady definitely give it a go! There is good and bad tofu and it’s all about the seasoning and preparation. Even after being veggy for so long I get disappointed once in a while but in the rest of the time I’m a big tofu lover! It also became more tasty with the time I have the feeling. :)
Of course i‘ll try all of them! LOVE your recipies!!!
Totally dig your recipes & personality 💓 I, too love, the green plants 🪴 that surround you~ I especially love how you’re tasting your finished product & the long hanging plants are trying to taste your yummy meals as well 😆💓
🌱 I thought this was the last ever video at first! Hurrah for new adventures!
Okay so I’m not a huge tofu but the Vietnamese meatballs were sooo good! I used smoked tofu instead of regular and threw in a bit or ginger and fresh garlic with my lemon grass paste. Great recipe! Will be trying the others tomorrow
I want to try all of these dishes!! Can’t wait for the new journey!!!
Love it, thank you so much for creating, Love, light, and blessings.
Love the Matt Damon Nuts! Props to whoever edited that video
love that welsh accent
How did I miss this video?? I regularly watch you videos and truly appreciate your flavor combinations.
Really amazing dishes👍
Thank you
Happy gardening in the new place!
Those 'meatballs' are next on my list, they look delicious! 😍 Can't wait to see your new house!
@@tinyrockyplanet8953 Good question.. 🤔 I think that it's easier for people who transition from eating meat to eating plant based foods, so you know what the food is like. Tofu balls would be better, I guess, but it might scare the newbies off. 😉
@@tinyrockyplanet8953 🤣
Well, it doesn't feel like a cult to me, but everyone does it in their own way, I guess. It is quite a transition though, to change all those habits you grew up with. It does take some time and effort. It's more than just eating vegetables.
@@tinyrockyplanet8953 • You assume that every vegan sees and does things exactly the same way. That is a misconception. In all believes there is the possibility that people get blinded by how they see things, but that doesn't automatically apply to all vegans.
• Your second misconception is that vegans believe that no animal may ever die. It is about ús not intentionally hurting or killing animals. That nature has its own balance that we all have to appreciate and respect is not even a question.
• Plants do have a certain amount of consciousness, but they don't have a sense of self and they don't feel pain. Holding a knife in front of a living pig or in front of a carrot is quite a different experience. One can express fear and pain and tries to save himself, while the other just lies there peacefully. :-)
Besides that, plants provide all the nutrients a human being needs. That's probably not a coincidence. Most plants even provide more protein than animal foods, so I believe we found misconception number 3.
• Also plants don't cause diseases such as diabetes, cancer, cholesterol problems, heart diseases, etc. like meat, dairy and eggs do. A plant based diet can actually reduce the risk of all those illnesses. So do we really need animal foods to survive? Or were they needed in a certain period of time in history and might it now be time to change our ways again? I haven't even mentioned yet the effects of producing animal foods on climate change, on habitat destruction, on poverty and hunger, on the loss of biodiversity, etc.
I don't doubt that you love animals and nature. I'm glad that you do. And maybe because you do, it might be time to look at your habits from a new perspective..
@@tinyrockyplanet8953 Haha, sorry, I like to make things neatly. 🙈 I'm just trying to substantiate all your points.
• I've read about the fascinating world of trees. It's amazing how they connect with each other. That doesn't mean they feel pain though. They haven't got a nervous system like us animals and from an evolutionary perspective it would be quite cruel if plants can feel pain, but are in no way capable to save themselves. But you're right, I can't say I réally know, it's information that I've assumed is true. I guess we all really know very little in the end.
I do wonder what's your point with this. 'Plants feel pain, so it is okay to inflict pain on animals?' What are you actually trying to point out?
• I never claimed that veganism is superior, more advanced or more conscious. I think that the fact that you bring this up says a lot about how you look at veganism.
• I don't believe all vegans think like me. I actually pointed out earlier that there are a lot of differences between vegans. The basic philosophy of veganism is 'not intentionally hurting or killing animals'. After that you'll find that everyone has their own look on things and one takes this further than the other.
• Look, I'm not trying to convert you. Live how you want to live, make your own choices. You ask me questions and challenge me to explain things, so I do this to the best of my knowledge. Of course I hope it invites you to think about things, but if not, then fine.
But why áre you here asking these questions? If you are so sure that your way of living is 'right', then why are you on a vegan RUclips channel challenging someone who is vegan for a debate? I wonder if you're actually trying to convince me or yourself.. 🤔
@@tinyrockyplanet8953 • Well, I'm not here to judge either, that's why I wrote 'right' within quotation marks. :-)
• You call it a conversion attempt, I call it an open invite, a suggestion to challenge your own habits and believes. There is some science to back up my claims, so these aren't just my ideas. But I'm totally fine with people not being vegan. I wasn't always vegan either. We all do things at our own pace.
• So, if I understand you correctly, you were trying to trigger me, so that you can point out how blinded I am by my own believes/ego? How is this not the same thing you're accusing me/vegans of? Pointing out how they're 'wrong' and you're 'right'?
I see where you're getting at and I don't judge. Trying to be completely free from judgment and ego is almost impossible. We all fall into that trap numerous times. But I hope that you can see that you have a very biased view of vegans. You just assume that all vegans would react the same way and that they all think alike. And you intentionally trying to trigger them and then pointing out how they're stuck in their own belief system is nothing but an egotistic act as well, right?
I actually always prefferedthe first kitchen you used over this one. Of course both are nice, but the first one was more like a proper kitchen and this one has kind of an art studion feel.)
Absolutely everyone has a “proper” kitchen. I loved the greenery in this one.
Gladiators ate a grain based diet with very little meat, according to the BBC. They were called the barley men. I like barley, especially in barley and cucumber soup, but I don't feel like fighting afterwards.
I WANT TO TRY EVERYTHING 💜💜💜
