I learned everything there is to know about Orks watching a game of Gothic Armada 2, as they boarded a Tyranid ship and took it over. The brainlessness and balls necessary to even attempt such a thing perfectly defines what it is to be an Ork. Great review. This game needs all the attention it can get. 40k can be fun!

I've been hyped for this video since the Battlesector one :) I'm one of the voice actors for the game (Bradley Rogers). As a huge 40k fan, it's always awesome to see everyone enjoying something we took a part in building. Warhammer has been a part of my life for the past 18 years and to know that I've contributed to something that will bring joy to other 40k fans and be introduced to new fans means more to me than I could ever put to words. And yes you are correct, there were only 3 voice actors for all the characters in the game. George Exley played a large majority of the IG/AM, half of the Tyranids, some orky bitz and the titular character, Gargaz. I myself do the narrator at the beginning, Ogruk, Lord Horrik Canorem, a majority of the Ork voices in the game, the other half of the Tyranids, some IG bitz and I'm sure a few others I'm forgetting. Matthew Buckner filled in for the White Scars and any additional voices that George or I were unable to complete! On further replays, listen close because there are some gems in there that are lost in the chaos of all da stompin' and shootin' (For example, the biophagus mini boss or the absolute monstrous sfx we created for the abominations). If you're a fan of our work, I humbly request you send any kind words to Rogueside and GW for future Warhammer goodness! Here's hoping the game will take off and get a sequel or some additional DLC! :D As fer all da boyz out dere lookin' fer a gud scrap, don't fergit ta praise Gork and Mork and pass da DAKKA! there needs to be an ork game with a morality meter thats a spectrum between gork and mork. Each side is and it's effects are completely arbitrary but changes gameplay and story route drastically, ultimately ending at the same conclusion though (killing)

Got this for Christmas, played it and loved it. Hitting the first boss fight and hearing Six Shootas fire up was like the pure singing of Gork n' Mork. I thought I'd make one little mention: this is actually the second time Ratlings have shown up in a video game. They're the Astra Militarum's anti hero snipers in Gladius Relics of War.

That's "Shooka Pistol". You press the M1, and a line will extended from your muzzle, and when you release M1, it will shock every enemy on that line. It didn't work on some big enemy, though. @@PonchaYT
As someone who adores the guns gore and cannoli games, seeing the developer bringing the already absurd game into 40k and orks at that is the crossover I never knew I needed.

My only gripe with the game is: it's way too short. Other than that it's a super fun little Run'n'Gun game that absolutely nails the Orks. In a galaxy where everybody is miserable and fighting for survival, da Boiz are the only ones who are having a good time.

There's a few different mechanics per class besides the melee and grenade that you didn't mention. There's the stormboy lighting people on fire like you said, but flash gits also have a chance to not expend ammo upon shooting. This can lead to ridiculous scenarios, such as the rokkit launcha firing 3 times rapidly without having to replace the rokkit. It happens often enough to be pretty useful too! I don't know what the other classes have, but I'm sure they have something. (I'm a bit late to comment, but I wanted to beat the game first, and I was only just able to get it a few days ago) also the auto targeting rokkit is super useful in almost every situation, and being able to launch multiple with no reload delay is great
It hard to call those books "Orc books" They have orks in them, as a background, but you gonna be spent most time with limp dick space marine. For real ork books, Brutal N Kunnin, 3 part short stories that are adapted into audio drama, and i have no idea about Gaz book
The Ork sections of Brutal Kunnin are incredible, but the AdMech sections are so bad they're almost unreadable. The grammar is atrocious. For some reason the author keeps using "they" as a singular pronoun when referring to a specific individual. Did his editor skip over those parts of the book entirely, or what?

I love this game, it's simple, the art style and dialogue of the Orks is just kind of adorable, and the comedy is awesome. I don't plan to play it, but watching the cutscenes for it was a blast. I love the story, that the main Ork has a thing that makes it look like he has a knot of hair on his head, his boss gets jealous of this, takes the hair knot, and the main Ork then fights his way through the Hive CIty, other Orks, Imperium, SPace Marines, tanks, and even an Imperium mech with the driver's long ass name being pretty hilarious, finally ending with the main Ork crashing his tiny ship into his former boss's ship, fighting through it, then beating his boss, getting his hair knot back, and becoming the leader of his clan. A simple plot but an epic journey for something so simple, it really captures the essence of why I love they Orks, they're general stupidity means they do some of the dumbest shit and yet somehow it can work out for them. Awesome game storywise at least.
I can see some 40K fanboys getting upset about how this game takes the piss out of the universe - cos you have to take 40K very seriously - having fun is a fopar. Lol
It occurred to me that the plot of this game is basically a reverse Ciaphas Cain novel. You beez an orc on a routine Waaaaagh, fighting da humies, when suddenly Genestealers out of nowhere.
I'm shocked that no one is talking about it but theirs an editing problem at around 2:26 where we can only see part of you for a couple frames and barely at that
I need to point out that classes are very distinct. Storm boy sets people on fire with dashes and attacks with explosive hammer... At this point it is important to mention that in co-op, explosive damage does friendly fire so explosive weapon isn't always a pro. Beast Snagga has best granades since they are squigs and it's only class when your melee is also a ranged attack. However spear explodes and harm your friends in co-op. weird boy granades and melee is stunning which is really useful. Flash git and weird boy might be most co-op friendly since their melee and abilities won't kill your friends. As for Flash git special ability, He has a chance to not consume ammo on shot. This skill procs quite often making many weapons a lot more potent. Not that rarely you might for example fire 3 rockets for rokkit luncha one after another with no reload. Or get a lot more milage from your Snazz gun. By far, Flash git is my favourite.
Yup, teeth (Teef) is the official Ork currency. Like sharks their teeth are always growing and since orks are always fighting, there's always a lot just lying around after getting kocked out of some stupid Gob's mouth. And in typical Orkish fashion they decided that since there's so much of it, and it's so easy to get...money!

In sections that aren’t the spoiler section you’ll casually name drop a boss or encounter that people want to experience themselves. My brother got it on switch and we played it a weekend, we were a little disspointed how short it was but had alot of fun. Good game with good humor and fun shooting. I hope the paint didnt get in your head, you creeped me out there for a bit.

I’m convinced that the Orks actually see the world in the game's artstyle. Kind of like how the Pyro in TF2 canonically sees everything as Pyroland.

I love the story, that the main Ork has a thing that makes it look like he has a knot of hair on his head, his boss gets jealous of this, takes the hair knot, and the main Ork then fights his way through the Hive CIty, other Orks, Imperium, SPace Marines, tanks, and even an Imperium mech with the driver's long ass name being pretty hilarious, finally ending with the main Ork crashing his tiny ship into his former boss's ship, fighting through it, then beating his boss, getting his hair knot back, and becoming the leader of his clan. A simple plot but an epic journey for something so simple, it really captures the essence of why I love they Orks, they're general stupidity means they do some of the dumbest shit and yet somehow it can work out for them. Awesome game storywise at least.

The flash git gives you extra ammos.
I need to point out that classes are very distinct. Storm boy sets people on fire with dashes and attacks with explosive hammer... At this point it is important to mention that in co-op, explosive damage does friendly fire so explosive weapon isn't always a pro.
Beast Snagga has best granades since they are squigs and it's only class when your melee is also a ranged attack. However spear explodes and harm your friends in co-op.
weird boy granades and melee is stunning which is really useful.
Flash git and weird boy might be most co-op friendly since their melee and abilities won't kill your friends.
As for Flash git special ability, He has a chance to not consume ammo on shot. This skill procs quite often making many weapons a lot more potent. Not that rarely you might for example fire 3 rockets for rokkit luncha one after another with no reload. Or get a lot more milage from your Snazz gun. By far, Flash git is my favourite.
I wish they would fix the bugs towards achievements/trophies.

Like sharks their teeth are always growing and since orks are always fighting, there's always a lot just lying around after getting kocked out of some stupid Gob's mouth. My brother got it on switch and we played it a weekend, we were a little disspointed how short it was but had alot of fun. Good game with good humor and fun shooting.
