Monitor Lizard in Agumbe

Staying in a cottage in the rainforest, especially during the monsoon, feels like being in the midst of action every moment of the day. Over the years, I have seen several adult monitor lizards in Agumbe, but this is the first time I've encountered a juvenile right outside my cottage.
Monitor lizards are formidable predators, and in this region, they are known to raid king cobra nests and feed on their eggs.
Whether in a forest or at home, take a moment to step away from the four walls and the screens to observe the life around you.
