I would love to live there. My sister n her family live in Estero n want me to move to FL but I am low income on SSDI n can't afford much. I'm 60 years old n am heart broken. This would be an answer to my Prayers. It's what I can afford. Could you help me ?
I want build a nonprofit like she has done. Prayers and good vibes my dream of helping homeless families who work can’t afford inflation and re s brig doubled.
Definitely love Debbie's laid-back approach and what she's created and why. Making a food forest on the site is beautiful. It's affordable, it's fantastic. I hope she is able to get the county services and expand this one-- and she seems like a perfect person to create a lot more tiny-home communities. And if there were a lot more, there could be linkages between them to create all kinds of good things.
We are very interested in linkages to exactly what you just elaborated on. We are looking to relocate to southwest Florida with direct water access to ocean in 6 mo.-1 yr. Any help is appreciated. Please and thank you.
This looks idyllic. I would love to live here! Looks like she’s at capacity now though. Who else wants to join me and start another place similar to this?
Where do I need to sign? Actually, there's no need for bigger house... all you need is just a small space where you can "take cover" from weather, but living in green and nature definitely is must...
2/6/22....I live in Central FL....so I MUST be fairly close by. I would definitely be interested/willing to help get investment funds or even GoFundMe set up for similar tiny home/old forgotten mall/some "forgotten" acreage to develop another self sustaining community like this.
I'm gonna replay it I think she said she has plenty of room because she has a lot of acreage.. But I will replay it... I want to get away and move to a tiny home so bad
Absolutely agree with everything said! If we as home owners, particularly as we age, cling to the, “Not in my backyard,” mentality, we will eliminate the very workforce we are growing to depend on!
I love that she was able to plant fruit trees rather than flowers and non bearing fruit trees. Also everyone is welcome to partake of the fruits. Thanks Lady. You thought of everything in a sustainable manner.
I admire Debbie for her initiative in providing affordable housing and introducing tiny home living. I have always believed that tiny home living motivates the owners to expand their abilities of organization, minimization, independence, and common sense. Great job Debbie. Thanks for sharing.
I agree with Debbie. We need to see this as a good idea for affordable housing and be open-minded if it comes to our part of the world. But also, perhaps we need to do more than just "accept it?" Maybe do what it takes to make it happen in our community, like she did. She is one good and humble human being. Well done.
@@issyness8658 I currently live in Missouri, but want to be looking for somewhere that has more moderate winter temps as I'm tired and getting too old to be shoveling snow. Right now, it is just a dream that I have a few years to research and plan.
@@2legit64 I’ve been wanting to do something like this for years. Our family has a piece of property in TN that’s 70 acres. We have five acres cleared and I’ve been wanting to build a little tiny house community. We have a garden started but haven’t figured out the next step to get tiny houses out. Might purchase one very shortly in the future to get started.
I love people who facilitate community and we need these people more than ever to be seen. It gives hope for a world that faces pandemics and self interested nefarious individuals who hold great power these are some scary times and yet there is hope as seen here. Thanks for posting.
She's wonderful. I first learned about tiny homes several years ago while thinking of a solution for my aging parents. Wanted to put one on my acre lot for them so they'd still have independence but I'd be right there. Nope. Zoning wouldn't allow it.

You are so right about the need for affordable housing in Florida. My son-in-law was teaching near Stuart and had to quit because they couldn't find any housing they could afford. Kudos to you for offering a viable solution!!
Debbie you have created a beautiful place to thrive for folks that serve the needs of others. We are not paid enough to afford these expensive houses & apartments going up all over Florida. What a blessing and example you are to a state that is not addressing the needs of those who serve others. We can not afford to live/work here if this need for housing continues to be ignored. Thank you and may this be the start of many more communities like the one you have lovingly created.
This is Awesome. Before big houses people lived in modest homes. Levittown ‘America’s first suburban community’ homes were 750 sf. That’s huge compared to tiny home, but we’re affordable. I love the concept of tiny home villages and community. Congratulations to getting it done!
Tiny home villages look amazing! I've been a contractor for over 20 years. This is something I could definitely see myself doing in the very near future.
Love the smell of wood too. Love the work this lady did for her community. Kudos to her for being open minded, kind, compassionate, helping & accepting those in need.
Love this tiny home community and the fact she's kept it affordable!!! My dream has been to own a tiny home but in the last few years of research, most are getting between $800-$1,000 for land rent!!! I wish she had open space...I'd be on my way!
Have you toured the periwinkle (lavender) colored house? It's my favorite color! I'd love to see the interior if the owners would be so kind😃 This tiny home community is lovely. Such a wonderful ongoing plan this woman has created!
Well glad to see im not the only one with this idea with a tiny house community with shipping container farm to feed the tiny community... Still raising funds to the land...
What a wonderful community...kudos to the thought that went into this planned community! Honey, pond creatures, green, space.....all is perfect....wish there were more communities like this across the country....people can learn a lot from this one!!!
What a beautiful community you created. And even more admirable you saved the turtle!!! Looks like a beautiful space to live in. Thank you for your Tour 💜🤟🏻🍀😎🇺🇸
This community should be an example for the rest of the country. Tiny houses aren’t for everyone, but for a single person or a young couple these would make perfect starter homes. The payments to have one of these built would probably be much less than renting an apartment, and instead of throwing your money away on rent, you’d have an asset to sell when you’re ready to move on to something larger.
Debbie is one of the most inspiring people I have ever encountered. This beautiful tiny home village is only a small part of what she does for people. I think she is an enchanted fairy godmother to thousands! I am in complete awe of her! If I ever have another chance, I will move to Circle Pond.

This is a great book with a lot of good construction tips The sheds featured in this book are probably built better than most peoples' homes. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxzaRUJNcbypw-fRBDbqqz43ULIa-1EGP- The author uses only the best materials and methods. It proved to be a great resource for my little 8' x 10' shed project and more 400+ plans. If you are turned off by the flimsy tin and home center kit sheds; if you want a shed that has some character and can be used as an extension of your home; then this book is for you.
Ruskin I remember as a kid driving from Venice to USF through Rustin. It had a 15 MPH speed limit, and always though I might see the police if I went 20. Pre 75.
As an European it always amazes me how people who work in public servicer (teachers, police, ...) can't afford "normal" housing in the States. I would however live in a community like this in a heartbeat.
95% of the land in the US falls under zoning regulations that would NOT allow this type housing. Instead of going to the county and city planners and demand to relax regulations to allow smaller houses, people just whine and complain it’s “greedy builders” who just don’t want to build tiny houses, when in fact they aren’t ALLOWED to build them by law. So, what do folks do? Ask for MORE of these regulations and then complain when the house doesn’t get cheaper. California is a prime example. The country is full of people who want to take a lazy approach to issues and not see the complexity….and “they just greedy” is the laziest approach of all. 🤷♀️ Even in red states you will not find many of these communities….but take note that where they DO exist will be a red state, where zoning regulations are more flexible (Texas also an example). Trailer parks have also been outlawed in nearly 100% of the US, the only ones that exist do so because they are grandfathered in.
Great job. The need for decent affordable housing for our workers is critical and I hope to help start a community like this up north. Thanks for providing an example of how it can be done. We'll need all the success stories we can find to get support.
Wow! Love the name “Circle Pond”! Love tiny homes. It’s conservative, easy to heat & cool! Great price that covers electricity, water, & sewer! I’d love to live there! It’s not where or what you live in, it’s the quality of the ppl you live around & if they have respect for others!♥️♥️♥️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Oh WOW!!! I am not even kidding I have wanted to do this for YEARS to help out single parents or families that are facing homelessness or just older people on a fixed income. I'm 67yrs old. I wish we had these years ago, I'm stuck in the worst crime ridden city in the USA. Philadelphia. If I was younger and was in good health I'd jump on this. To late for me.
Wonderful all around! Thank you.
So awesome! Thank you for all that you are doing to help those in need. Your community looks beautiful and so homey. I live in Central Florida and didn’t know this place existed. Blessings to you and all those helping you out.
Wow! So amazing and beautiful!❤️
I drew it out and everything. With a pond right in the middle just like this!!!! WOW you have given me inspiration. I need to found out where I can do something like this in my area. There is such a HUGE need especially now! Great job
Would love to live there!!
