But she’s paying it off over 10 years, so it will probably end up being closer to 200k with the interest.

This is the one drawback, it seems alot of tiny home owners either have a friend that let's them park there or they have family that let's them live there. It would be great to see stories of folks who bought land or found a way to own land not related to someone.
This is true. I wonder if municipalities could rewrite building codes to be more welcoming to tiny homes and if smaller size lots could be offered for sale (to individuals planning to live on them NOT people planning to buy them all up to rent on airb&b!)
@@Enoo-Wynn exactly. We need affordable housing for people who need it, like people with disabilities. Instead of making landlords wealthy, we need communities of small affordable homes.
I am living in Colorado , park county has a lot of land for sale and the county allows tiny homes there is no minimum sqft requirements other then the ones on the 2012 building code book you can google what those are, I’m going to start building there this year little by little till it’s done I’m doing a slab foundation but it will be a tiny house to keep construction cost down I’ll probably start posting videos about it in a few months, if anyone wants to look into it the lots are fairly affordable I got mine for 25k but the prices vary out there and I don’t have anyone helping me no RUclips sponsors nothing crazy , just me my girlfriend and our one acre lot and lots of painful government loops with waiting time on permits mostly

More people place their tiny homes on land belonging to family or friends.
That isn't an option for so many people.
I would hate to be dependent on someone’s land if thy decide to sell.

Canada must have some GREAT builders of tiny houses, because I watch a lot of tiny homes on RUclips, and some of the most beautiful ones comes from Canada! Their homes overall seems to be the very best. I hope to visit my good neighbors in the near future! 🌹👍🏽

The best tiny home I've seen bump outs make it, very nice interior, a 10... you truly have all you need to be comfortable.
Before I played the video just looking at the thumbnail I knew that was Cali. Northern Cali is the best of both worlds you still have the coast but also the forest.
I don’t have a tiny house, but Reggie is giving me so many ideas about making my un-tiny house pretty and more organized. I really like the way she decorates!!
This is my favorite Tiny Home that I’ve seen thus far (on any video)…I love the layout, and the exterior look (and the pop outs are genius!) You can tell she put a lot of thought, care and research into this home! My dream is to one day own a tiny home for me and my dog and I will absolutely keep this plan and builder in mind! ❤️

I love her house and how she managed to have the best of both worlds - the ease of a standard road legal width tiny house, and then the comfort of a 12' width where she needed it most. I also love how articulate and comfortable she is on camera. I wonder what her profession is. And hooray for Canadian tiny house builders!!! :)
I’ve been searching for a builder in Canada for years & haven’t liked anything I’ve seen so far; but this is beautiful. I like the bump outs they make the living space so much better.

Love this house. It’s great with the extra room for the full size couch. I’ve seen many of these tiny homes and don’t like the small sitting. She was lucky to be able to put the house on her parents property.
You can do a lot with $135,000 and family property. Wish everyone had that access.
Very beautiful tiny home, you can tell she put a lot of thought into what she wanted, and as she said, where she wanted to put her money. I love the idea of the bump outs, that does seem to offer so much extra space. I'm also a fan of downstairs bedrooms in tiny homes, so the fact she has an actual bedroom is great. Leave the loft to kids and younger folks with good knees, lol. It's awesome she was able to park it on her family's land and that in return she is using the advantage of being so close to her parents to help them out and take care of them. It's also pretty cool that her daughter enjoys the house, we don't see a lot of teens in these tiny house adventures.

This is a realistic beautiful home to me. I would lower the ceiling over the bath/laundry to give room for the loft to have more
height. Otherwise, it extraordinary nice, feasible, & very practical to me....

@@onengkusumah2905 I don’t know if there is a particular point, or if it is necessary to have a point. But if for example, she has a mortgage of just $300 a month, I think as prices go in CA it’s pretty good. In Bay Area the housing is outrageous and renting just a room the average is $1,200.
I’m so happy for mom and daughter, she made the right choice. Then her parents are right there.
I love this house. Not tiny at all. The white/black exterior. Interior is peaceful and gorgeous. I especially love the back bedroom.
Excellent design. The pop-outs really work well for her, and the lady is able to accommodate her daughter very comfortably plus have her own bedroom... great job.

Truly lovely tiny home with great features - privacy at night for both her and her daughter despite her daughter not necessarily having a real wall on one side, ability to use the French doors to enjoy another "living room" and therefore also another way to not feel too cramped in the space with each other, and lastly a great way to live with family close together but not so close as to get on each others' nerves; close enough to be useful in each others lives the way families used to be when people were brought up in villages or more traditional community. Very cool!

I have watched a lot of tiny homes here now, but this was my absolute favorite one! So beautifully made! I loved the style and how "normal home" it looked! I'm applaud this mother for how she choosed to think about her daughter ,going through a divorce, to make sure she could stay close to her friends, school and family. 🙌👏👏👏 Great work!

In a word, AWESOME! The incredible use of space, storage, etc....it doesn't seem that small - and the "bump outs" are genius for (as you said), just that extra amount of space to have the basic comforts. Brilliant... Live there in continued good health.
The best part was the French doors leading to outside sitting area. The front door is innovative too. Lots of wonderful ideas there.

Having a travel trailer with two "bumps" as we were taught. They "bump out" your living space. So I knew I would love how these help your space!
Best tiny house I’ve ever seen!!! It fulfills all of the issues of tiny homes that drive me nuts. Those bump-outs are the answer to more space. Love the bedroom double doors to the outside. Kitchen is my favorite room.

Love love love the lay out of this home. The pip outs are genius. That little bit of extra room makes the tiny home super livable roomy and very comfy. Definitely space for a Christmas tree. Lol I know that sounds silly to some. How ever for me q Christmas tree is important. Any way I really love this home. All of it. This is exactly what I want.

@@TinyHouseExpedition thank you. You know most of us put one up every year. A few keep it up all year and just change the season or holiday on the tree. For me I love the light and how it make the darkest time of the year more bright and cozy. On top of the fact it is an important part of people's religion. This hike is bug enough that she can even store a faux pencil tree. I want a tiny home so bad. It's the perfect size for my family. Plus you can move when the weather is not so desirable. Like hurricanes. Blizzards for example.
A Christmas tree (fresh cut from the local tree farm) is a must for me! I've never been able to have a tree over 7 feet in my "past" house. This last year, we found an eleven foot tree that I was able to fit in the tiny house! Thanks for the kind comment.
I like the brightness of it. I live in a very small mobile home in a trailer park and mine is bright inside too... White kitchen etc

This is one of my favorite tiny homes! Love the bump out. Makes such a huge difference. I would definitely move the couch up just a bit to fit some type of narrow shelf that's leveled to the top of the back of the couch. Just a nice piece of stained wood. She could display some books, pictures and even have a little lamp on it.
The bumpouts are awesome and I didn't know you could have them and legally move it. Good info on this episode. Live with my parents and it great option to look into inn the future! Loved the feel of this house also. Amazing job designing! ❤️
