🙋♀️❓I love, love your work, and those doors need to be marketed to other small applications, such as rv's! Brilliant! I have to say that If you lived in my area I would def ask you to be my mentor/teacher of woodworking! I'm a 60 yr old women, empty nester w/o a partner. I'm in the process of downsizing/relocating and I don't want to hire one person to do the complete build. Instead, I would love to be a part of it, if I could find someone who would be willing to teach me. I'm more of a hands on person! For me, it would make life easier to have another beside me to guide me! Oh dear, that was beginning to sound like the song, "let's dance" ! Anyway, I'm fascinated with your work! Did you do all your own plumbing/electrical also❓ Any advice you have, I'd love to hear it. TY

I watch tiny home videos all the time, many of them designed by architects, and this is the first time I’ve seen this solution. Absolutely fabulous!. It looks really easy to use too.
Absolutely the smartest solution to make the bathroom as pvt as for guests, the doors allows the multifunctionality of the bathroom, AMAZING!! THEY HAVE TO CIOYRIGHT THIS SYSTEM!!!
We need laws across the US that allow more of these smaller homes to be built (without permitting freakouts). It is critical for single people, young people, and older people who not only do not need a large space, but also cannot afford a large SFH.
Fortunately, Seattle (and I suppose Tacoma) has adjusted its zoning laws to allow accessory dwelling units ('ADU') as infill in formerly single family neighborhoods, many of which occupy very large lots. She's really starting her business at the best moment.
I hope it will spread across the US; so many people are being priced out of the market, be it for owning or renting. These are things we all need to demand of our local elected officials - it could go a long way toward solving our housing crisis.
We have acreage but I don't think our city's ordinances would allow it on our property. 🤔 I would so love to have this as it's my dream to have a wellness business tiny home and escape during our cold winters. I just need to convince my hubby and get his job(s) on board too.
I'd love to know what the building plans would cost. Obviously she used reclaimed materials so it was more affordable than buying materials outright. I'd like to know what's needed (costs, permits, etc.) when traveling/ transporting it. Any ideas? I didn't see it, but there'd likely need to strong drawer closures (magnetic perhaps) so things didn't shimmy all around.
Agree rent for two bedroom apartment in my area is 800+ a month

I totally agree! And the plumbing in ceiling & walls, to partition with plywood for saved space!!! I am blown away by her ingenious design and she should quickly patent that design {triple door design for multi functionality AND beauty}for use in her Tiny homes only until she decides OTHERWISE - she’d be super rich!

I know this ISN'T abt personalities but I just wanted to say thank you to the lovely finish carpenter (one of my
boys is a finish carpenter too...a "wood artist")..But I just had to share...this lady's warm, fun and spritly manner is so much like a best friend I had for a while. She passed very early in life from asthma and I miss her and think of her often! Don't want to bring you down ...but she was one of "those folks" you never forget...a superb human being!

I love tiny homes but oldies often have bad knees so, a downstairs bedrm is a welcome solution. Loved the open, airey feel of the glass and pocket doors, ...(mirrors help expand space too!). Think abt creating for older folks and specialize...I never see anyone
thinking about their issues or their old knees! (Esp. in high retirement areas where space, and money issues abide and tiny homes would be a welcome solution).

It's beautiful! It feels like a full-size suite in a hotel. There's no tunnel effect. The cleverness of her designs, especially the electricals, doors, shower and ladder is amazing!

I like how she put a bedroom on the ground floor with a big bathroom and also a big kitchen. Those are the three rooms that seem to be used the most in our house. She is smart!
going wider is such a great option for tiny houses that are not going to be moving very often.

This house is neat because she came up with so many clever ideas, like having the shower knob on the ceiling, the pocket doors that allow you to close off the bathroom and master bedroom in different ways for privacy, and the closet system was very cool. If she's going to build tiny homes professionally, I feel that closet system will be in high demand. I like the fact their bed is on the main level, not so sure I'd like that ladder/pantry combo. I can imagine a guest placing their foot incorrectly on top of a bottle and then falling. Don't like the sink is so small, I would need a little bit bigger. Love the idea of heated floors and the bar window. Interesting quirk with having so many doors to the outside. But overall very unique home!

This is incredible! You’ve do a magnificent job with all the details. We live in an 850 sq ft home. Our home is almost 100 yrs old. Yes, it’s small, but we love it!! Our yards are awesome! Like you, I love to be outside. I would love to have your talents. If I could build a “not so tiny” home like yours, I would do it in a heartbeat! Your design skills are over the top! There’s nothing more rewarding than designing and building your own home. Tracy has put so much creativity and thought into her tiny! I love all the salvaged materials and consideration of her husband’s height. I also would go for 10 feet it makes a big difference. Very fun to see all of the nuances packed in to this little space! ❤️

And perhaps rent out their house so that they have income and then they have their little Barn where they have all their tools and I think that's awesome that they're both Carpenters or that she is you know common for men but not so much for females but to be the same business... like that's

WOW! She thought of everything! Ingenious design. I really like how she has designed storage in such a way that's efficient but doesn't take away from the industrial aesthetic. She's definitely smart and extremely creative, and her woodwork is beautiful! I wish her well in her tiny house business.

Those triple sliding doors are genius. She has so much intelligent design in this house. Only thing I wouldn’t do is a washer in the bedroom. Her swinging closet system is genius as well. I wish I could have her build mine.

Such a spacious open feeling tiny home. 10' width makes a world of difference. I have spine issues and appreciate her raised fridge and main floor bedroom. The grandkids would enjoy the loft.
The design is brilliant. I love that the bedroom is on the main floor and the pocket door system is mind blowing.

I could live here very comfortably, especially with the bedroom on the main level. I'm too old to be climbing a ladder or a bunch of stairs!

How do you measure labors per hour or per job right? Mostly wood costs which is basic a few thousands.. but the labors 🤔????

The three door bathroom / bedroom access is great. I agree about the Murphy bed. That's what I'd want... room to create a space not just for yoga but potentially a pull down desk / craft area (on the back of the Murphy bed) that can be in use or not. Shelving / hanging unit is so unique! It could have doors on it (be finished) and still work. Love it!

This has got to be one of my favorite tiny homes and I've seen a lot. Having parents who also know about carpentry and construction all my life I've envisioned furniture and my mom and dad have made it for me...very beautiful ideas and how they made them come to life, that closet idea was marvelous!
For some odd reason, I watch tiny house videos on youtube....and never once have I gone "I NEED THAT IN MY LIFE. THAT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE!" .....until today. There's so much in that house, it's amazing and inspiring and...I love it!

Finally a tiny house with multiple means of egress! Just love the closet set up. Her ingenuity is impressive. As someone who lives in 226 sq feet, I always love seeing what brilliant methods of storage other tiny dwellers come up with. Those live edge surfaces are stunning. I can see why she is in love. And kudos for having 3 animals all work out in that space.

This is probably the most brilliant tiny home design I’ve seen. I have been smiling ear to ear because, we too, have dreamt about our tiny home when we are empty nesters. We want a bedroom downstairs as part of our”aging in place” plan. We want to incorporate part of our livelihood of Alaskan commercial fishing memories along with a hobbit type home. Dreaming of the possibilities and one things for sure with living just outside of Seattle; this company just may be first on our list to talk with. Thank you so much for putting this video up🍂
