Love how Volker plays only on the neck position of his tele trying to support Robben's unique playing on the other two positions, acting very nicely, great musicians.
True mastery by Robben. Just love this kind of playing by Robben. Great recording. Thanks for posting this. Hopefully some good ones from tonight at Kitchener coming soon. Post more from this gig.
The worst none blues version of this blues classic i've ever heard. Clapton and LedZep are miles ahead of this awful strange jazz version. Time to retire?
Seems many agree, it's a great version. You're the only dislike. I think it's brilliant and not only way better than clapton but zeppelin turned a robert johnston tune into what it is not.
I do not agree at all, it is one of the best versions, do you hear the relaxed way to play it, the melodic playing, the wonderful dinamics and the power chords that only Robber is able to master now. Do you feel the connections on the phrasing, the rhythm changes....
Robben's solo is a rare guitar masterpiece
Volker killing it man
The fantastic Volker Strifler on second lead.

Would have rather Volker sing this one, personally.
Yes Alexis, Volker's playing is pure brilliant, his tone is elegant, pure and melodic!
Thanks for posting one of my fav guitar talents.
Two of mine.
......What ever.....Man...Musik is a wonderfull thing.... Graetings from Germany and 2 happy new Years....

Great upload mate.
Thanks for posting these, Mark! This must have been a great night. Having Robben play a gig with my stuff would be quite an honor.

Did anyone see him at Stanford in 79 with george duke and Tom Scott??????
first time I saw him.
What is your amp/ speaker setup?
Can't Fathom the fact you had the cheek to ask him to sign your amp hahah, a handshake would of been sufficient.
I prefer the Led Zeppelin rendition. 🎸
He's making the audience as miserable as he is.
I was there, and I assure you the audience was not miserable ;-)
