Yes, this is Robben Ford but he is playing with his brother Patrick's band (he's on drums) FORD BLUES BAND, Poplin on bass, Volker lead, guitar. Have been together for many decades (5?). Robben was born in Dec 1951, I think Patrick Feb.1949. Don't they sound better than ever here? THANKS IVARUS for this share!
That tone. F**k me, that's the best tone ever. And I don't even like talking about tone anymore. I listen to this clip every now and again to remind myself how a guitar should sound.....
Possibly the finest at to the fest, and that's sayin somthing. Tight just begins to descibe the jazed p blues that is Robben Ford and his band. Great night with graet people and great blues!!
The dynamics are spot on. Soft and subtle, then, build, build, build... Catching Robben at Yoshi's, once again, in March. Even though I doubt he'll be part of the band that night, hoping Volker is there.
2nd guitar is Volker Strifler - a great guitarist in his own right from Sonoma County. They play together a lot. I think Volker got Robben inspired to rip it up.
Funny, I just watched a video on Jimmy Page. And they were talking about how some of the songs Jimmy might have played a les paul, might have been a telecaster? This tone might prove that.

Amazing playing and chops from both of these cats, Robben is my favorite player too...what can I say I'm a sucker for blonde Telecasters
Robben here is amazing, very sofisticated
robben ford master! show how important silence and pause are important
The solo of Robben Ford ! WoW! The Master!
Funny thing is... we wouldn't have this lovely tune without the chaos of a beautiful woman...
Tele heaven. Robben gets better every year.
Thanks for capturing this!
That my be the finest Robben Ford playing I've seen.
This is some of the most elegant playing I've seen in a while.. Magic
holy shit , now that was awesome . 2 great solos ,
but when you think it can't get any better it just keeps comin' .
A Blues Master

Holy s*#t! I need to practice a lot more often....wow!
Been rediscovering Robben... Love, love his touch on the guitar.
God what a solo by Robben. The first fellow was great too. I love the tele blues sound.
There isn't another person on the planet with the chops Robben has, his soloing is unending,
just ask Larry Carelton.
The dynamics are spot on. Soft and subtle, then, build, build, build... Catching Robben at Yoshi's, once again, in March. Even though I doubt he'll be part of the band that night, hoping Volker is there.
Probably the best guitar I have ever listened
This is from the album Crusade 1967 John Mayall and the bluesbreakers.
Yeah. . . . A freakin sweet Telecaster Blues Jam. . Great to see the Tele's take the full stage over the Strat's once in a while. :)
This is awesome also his live version of Cream' s " Polition " it will blow your mind
Such phrasing! Further proof that all you need is a tele and talent. Must buy me some Robben Ford Cds
fantastic solo. little quote of willow weep for me around 6.20
That Tele has a great tone !!
nice video quality and sound
Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guitar playing doesn’t get much better than this
saw him 12 times,...never bad,always in topform,that's how he is i suppose!
Sad that the phone makers won't put an option for manual input level. This would sound awesome if not for the distortion.
love it too, smooth kinda blues!
Love you Robben Ford
amazing even by Robbens always amazingly high standards!
Excelente .
My hero
Written by Gene Barge. Recorded by Shuggie Otis. This is very different and in the relative minor I think

Enjoying the clean sound of artists... really disliking all the distortion and 100mph solo's.... Ford is a master at Leaving Space between notes...
Phrase this ..Tone that , Tele , Dumble......I just came to dance.....
素晴らしい!
ragazzi questo è suonare altro che one direction, salmo o altra merda....Ford is God!!!
Robben Ford solo @4:30
Volker Strifler is the first guitarist... SF Bay Area blues guitarist...
He played a great, tasteful, solo.
- Pilatus, PIlatus! Let lilizz Lobben Fold!!!
- Guald! Do we have any plizonel called Lobben Fold?
Is that 2nd guitar player his brother, Mark Ford?
No. His Brother pat is on drums. Other brother mark that play harmonica is not on stage. Wonderful family 😀
Volker Strifler
I believe this is a Shuggie Otis tune...... Shuggies been playing live lately.

frod043
Shuggie wrote the tune.... it's obviously Robben Ford playing it.
Just giving Shuggie a shout out.... he's been playing live lately..
gotcha..his dad was one of a kind..remember his band playing at El Monte legion hall ...'50's..ya im old!..haha..
@@frod043 if you see this, do you mean Charles, Rocky Ford & the Tennesseans?
or are you talking about Shuggie ?
The Jedi hold court.
Who's the other guy?
the othe player is Larry Carlton I presume
no
Looks like the Ford brothers band minus Mark.
shuggie otis song....but slower
this is not his song and the original is a billion times better . . .
That my be the finest Robben Ford playing I've seen.
who's the first guitarist?
