Oh yeah, man, he's the best! As for Roscoe Beck, he is a great, great bassist. This trio was one of the best trios of all time. Unfortunately it was overlooked by many. The three records this group put out were classics.....excellence in modern, innovative blues.
Robben just catches fire on that second solo! It rises to a cosmic out-of-body level.....that is completely improvised. The music /guitar was playing him.
Dpocuill, if it was the Blue Line with Robben, it was always Roscoe Beck, as it is here, (I speak with the authority of being his sister). And it was always Tom Brechtlein on drums. They were something special all together!
Roscoe Beck is one of the true modern monster bassists! No wonder Robben uses him all the time! Brechtlein too! Not much better rhythm section in the business!
frontbum420 They always are when live compared to a studio recording. Nothing unusual in that regard. But the solos seemed a little hap hazard until the outro. Not that I could do any better, but compared to other performances I have seen, eh on the solos.
Thank for your music Mr. Ford!!!!!
The greatest blues guitar player of the world!!!!!!
Superbe morceau , superbes jeux , superbe trio , mon préféré .

Incredible ,Robben knew at the end of the number that he nailed that 2nd solo, totally improvised, you could see his emotion. wow
OMG ... why doesn't he let go like that on his studio recordings ...
Man that is so fuggin' good it is just outrageous ....!!!
Genius...and during a rocked out ballad means even more!!!
Inspired performance!!

Ass his sister...maybe you can enlighten us mortals with why they never play together anymore...Tom even once said ‘never again’...why??
The first verse sounded like "Help the Poor".
The white telecaster in performance.
5:20 oh gosh

Usually Roscoe Beck plays bass with the Blue Line

Sounds good although the bass player and drummer are extremely busy.
