This double release allows one to revisit the glory early days of synthwave through the lens of Perturbator. Perturbator remains one of the key composers in a scene whose days were predicted as very short-lived, yet is growing daily towards reaching a decade of increasing popularity.
Volume I of the collection features nearly all of the remixes Perturbator created of other artists' works in the early days of synthwave. It was very normal for artists to remix each other to improve their skills and as a favor towards promoting each other, as well as the scene at large.
This material has been disparate prior to this release, existing on random Bandcamps, Soundclouds, and other various corners of the internet. Most of this material has never seen the light of day on vinyl, CD, nor even via iTunes, Spotify, or RUclips until now.

I love Dead Astronauts, Perturbator remixes really add a different flavor to them.
Perturbator just puts so much passion into most of his songs it's amazing. Even on remixes this guy gives it all.
true, thats all about his greatness, passion, strenght and beeing real
so true
You can tell it's made by someone who really loves music, and the motion evoked between drops is what make Perturbator #1 over all in synth, for me.
holy shit, just randomly started back on a perturbator listening spree, and find a new album?? my lucky day
I wanted to listen everything i missed from Perturbator, cause every main release has been listened like a 100 times already.
And i'm simply obsessed with this two B-sides albums lately. Have been listening to them for 3-4 days straight.
Perturbator sounds how playing a really good session of Cyberpunk 2020 feels.
B side is a banger song it will generate a new fanbase, it reminds me nightcall.
Lyrics:
In the dark where we sleep,
Crystal eyes are watching me.
In the dark we're not alone.
Spend some days and take me for a walk.
In the trees, I hear her talk.
Eyes wide opened, why can't I see?
I know she's coming,
She's coming for me...
Wake me up, I found a dream I can't escape from
Has it been so cruel for you?
I had another person waiting on the other side
So when I Fall to the ground, they will pick me up.
And the blood looks real but the feeling doesn't hurt me
I can't remember your name, but Big red lights are coming down to take me
One day, they'll come for you too.
Still the hardest drop in Behemoth... My gosh floor is shaking
Love the sound of the Shock Doctrine remix, loved the original and then saw Perturbator remixed it. Man, it's fuckin good, love Perturbator's sound
When I launch a new PERTURBATOR album, I already know that it's going to be huge. This guy is the ultimate God of Synthwave / Darksynth. Great album again. Highly the second part !!! Thank you James. Really.
Do not understand why these 2 albums do not get the love they deserve. To me they are awesome. Just my thoughts though.
100%
Synth for life!
Hallelujah, praise be BlooodMusic ;) Going to dig this now :)
This classic stuff hit me more than I thought it would. What an absolute god
I...love this...how many times have I listened to this? Twenty? Thirty? Fifty? Probably somewhere around the fifty mark. I'm obsessed with this album, it hits me at a fundamental base, it's so relatable to my current situations that it is actually astonishing. I have never in my life loved an album this much. Not even with Ghost or Carpenter Brut. I got into this style of music with Perturbator, fell in love with the way it flowed and evolved. This is by far the best thing I have ever listened to unironically. All I can say here is that this is fucking amazing in every single way I can possibly think of. My favorite songs in here are In Disquise at 0:00, B Side at 16:01, and Another Sleepless Night at 41:35.
Greatness...and can't wait for Vol. 2 on friday!
Warm nostalgic feelings about these sounds. Amazing as always!
I love everything Perturbator has done so far, including covers and guest musicians (Cygnus!), but damn... doesn't it just feel absolutely great to listen to his "classic" sound of the ol' days? Thanks, James. Can't wait for Volume II.
Ok this guy is A LEGEND. "New Model" is masterpiece and the new direction still makes it fresh but i don't mind going few years back. It makes me smile when I hear P's iconic sound effects and layering. The sound design on this piece is stunning and shows that Perturbator is God Of Synth (right after John Carpenter obviously :D ) and that no other producer from the recent years can match him.
My faves are: In Disquise
I Am The Program
Behemoth
New Model is a killer EP and a huge step forward!
To be honest, I didn't like New Model quite as much. This one here is a blast though.
There are 2 perturbators, the old one who prefers harder and faster synths and the new one who prefers vocals and atmosphears, both are awesome, the old one is probably stronger but the new one is bigger and deeper. This album seems to be about works from the old prtrbtr masterized by the eye of the new perturbator
@@WyandWombatIs the same thing with every artist you love they always change and become new ones and you must learn to love the new one or quit them, i didnt liked new albums at first too cause the old perturbator died, but np everything dies and borns again we must accept it
Ian Curtis > Richard David James > Trent Reznor > Tom Rowlands > James Kent
Absolutely love the energy in Shock Doctrine and I Am The Program. Bloody superb. And the tracks called Another Sleepless Night, and B Side are super symbolic and soothing. The latter track especially because of Haylee Stewart's hypnotic vocals. Cracking album 😊🥰
I just fell in love with the female voice in the Dead Astronauts, perfect combination the two.
Shock Doctrine sounds so much like death squad, I love it!
Daaaamn what an epic ending for a brutal mix...IS JUST MENTAL
What an amazing compilation. I love PERTURBATOR!!
I can't wait to see him live next year
Anything with Hayley Stewart singing is straight fire 🔥🔥🔥 and I love his throwback style but there are parts on this album like the melody on 9:59 and her verse on b side that make this better then new model
I know your feel
As much as i prefer Perturbator's newer material, there are some gems on here, and it's really cool hearing the evolution of his sound. Excellent stuff as per usual :)
Carpenter Brut has just gone back to building coffee tables
GREAT STUFF!
mesmerizing.
Fantastic! Love it.
Yes this is amazing !
excellent work
Some really good ones I haven't heard before, especially These Bones, Unhappy Woman, and Night Slasher. Glad to see the best-of-the-best-cream-of-the-crop Behemoth remix re-released here too. A fucking banger if there ever was one.
This sure does have a vibe to it.
AMAZING.
God bless his blood music.
I don't know about you guys, and it's probably been said already but there's something about that intro song. Doesn't matter how long a day it's been, how hyped up I am, when it's playing I feel a sense of peace. Peace with a slight eagerness to hear what's in store. Now that's how it's done
Ok, this is epic.
That remix of GosT's "Behemoth"..... OH MY LAWDY WHAT A JAM
goes well after cult of 2112
MANY MANY THANKS DEAD ASTRONAUT AND PERTURBATOR, THIS REMIX.....THE COMBINATION OF THE TWO VOICES AND THIS DARK MELODY........ALL TO THE SKY....IN THE BEST. CIAOOOOOOOO.
So send this to a friend. And now I know that the rule stating that you are 3 people away from anyone on earth is true.
Which makes listening to this even cooler.
wow sounds awesome !
Need more terminus, brut and turb!
THEY TOOK YER TURB!!!
this is a masterpiece
So damn good

This is the best way to turn around a shit day
Amen.
Or a few.
Some weed and couple of fresh beers doesn't hurt at all 😁
OMG is this a jojo reference !?
It's Another Sleepless Night at 41:35 that takes the cake in the entire album, listen to it and tell me if it doesn't send chills down your spine
I'll let Slick know, he'll appreciate this comment.
@@danielgracia-medrano6509 dude, do you where I can find Slick Moranis artist? I can't find him idk
Hail Perturbator ⛧
On first listen, I think the first 4 tracks are alright, but the fun begins from the 5th track. Makes sense that all 4 of those were originally by a single artist.
Awesome album. I missed a lot that ‘meet jimmy’ sound from Sexualizer. With this album the synth pads flies over us in every moment. It’s a dream remembering the old ebm sound in some tracks.
Does the two album covers become a single picture like the best I+II from the smiths? This one is better of course ;)
The only vocal synth that i like...and i like it a lot... Masterpiece mix this is
Shock Doctrine gets you movin
yeah !!! masterpiece !!! :3
Just discovered this guy. Oh my god...
Hella stuff is coming out on my birthday.
happy birthday :)
Thank you, Alxuria!
So nice
wake me up for 33:35 any night
excellent.
Perturber is French for "to disturb". Well Monsiuer Perturbator, I am disturbed by just how good your music is.
The Behemoth remix is awesome ;)
21:55 Holy shit, even better than the original
FINALLY T^T
Reznyck is dope
These cover-arts are very cool. And content of the album is all around positive, diggin the Dead Astronauts and Mecha Maiko very much, so nice to hear em remixed by man that is rumoured to be half-synthesizer.. Ive seen him live and im not sure, must investigate. :) luv
OMG YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS PERTURBATOR BEHEMOTH REMIXXXXXXXXXXX

Unhappy Woman reminds me of Dead City by Handful of Snowdrops ;0
21:55 masterpiece
I Am the Program is awesome and reminds me of Metal Gear Solid's menu music in parts.
From 00:00 to 06:12 a futur tribute for Guts?... (Berserk) ♥ †
cool
Remix of i am the program is so legit
Bruh we want more uncanny valley shit
Male singer kinda sounds like Depeche Mode in the first track?
THE DOORS 200%
What are the lyrics for Another Sleepless Night and where can I find more of that guy's stuff?!
Slick is my Brother, he's got a few more tracks here on RUclips. I don't think his soundcloud is up anymore, but you can see the lyrics on Perturbator's soundcloud for this song: soundcloud.com/perturbator/slick-moranis-another
If you enjoyed New Model, click here => 53:45
32:00 sounds like a distorted fiddle lmao

Dommage que les kick et les snare ne soient pas assez appuyés
Love what he does, but I just can't stand his vocals though. Anyone know of a instrumental version?
The male vocals are absolutely atrocious and sound so unnecessary, in contrast to the music
Бля, круто.
not really into the tracks with vocals to be honest.
Mwerf, avec les voix c'est pas possible... Beaucoup trop de chant. Quel dommage. Sur ce coup la, j'adhère pas. =(
On s'en branle, ma burne !
