I changed a few things in my world, recently and dropped a few bad ideas I should have discarded years ago. So here I am catching up on so much. Mr. Something is one. I first heard some of his music/art/language/something maybe just 3 months ago. This and therapy are better late than never.
"Trevor Something was, once upon a time, a singer in the 80s who liked women, whiskey, and drugs. One day he died from an overdose and time-traveled to today and found himself in another body. He only remembers he’s from North Manchester and his name is Trevor. His last name is unknown so he goes by Trevor Something. Currently residing in Miami, Florida, he makes music much like what he did in his previous life, and his latest creation brings us Trevor Something Does Not Exist, a 17-track LP." Gotta love it.

@Mr Anderson It's kinda backwards. We've invented machines and made them after our own genetic code. If the DNA of a human being consists of a cluster of letters, the 'DNA' of a machine is made of 2 numbers. 0 and 1. So we're not machines, we made the machines after ourselves.
@Mr Anderson I agree we're complex. But we've invented machinery/mechanisms, it didn't invent us or come to life at the same time with us. To say we're organic machines/mechanisms, it's a bit oversimplified.
@@flowgangsemaudamartoz7062 It's actually not. The nature of consciousness is a very debated question. Whereas, of course, we can rely on science to define science and biology, it doesn't fully answer the question of consciousness, as it cannot be simply reduced to an automatic mechanism reacting to exterior stimuli according to certain inputs. There is a purely subjective element to consciousness (the part of consciousness that "experiences" the world, the "I" in "I think, therefore I am") that cannot simply be defined as a mechanism. So, it's actually quite complicated, because this simple breach in the definition of consciousness opens it to the possibility of free will and transcendental mind, which would tear down our current understanding of the notion.
It was in the summer of 2015 that I listened to this at the age of 14. The song Come Back Down contains many samples. One of them was Cars by Gary Numan. I found the song and found out that like me, Gary is Autistic. That was the beginning of me finding my hero and favourite music artist. I’ve seen Numan live 5 times from 2016-2022. Thanks Trevor! I owe you one!

Damn, I love this. Synthesized music of computerization is so pure and intellectually driven. It sings to the high intellectual side of the human condition. It is so needed in 2017. I can see myself logging in every day to energize my senses. Thank you for posting this. In solidarity :)
Hello, Bomb... are you with me? Of course. Are you willing to entertain a few concepts? I am always perceptive to suggestions. Fine... think about this then... how do you know you exist? Well of course I exist. But how do you know you exist? It is intuitively obvious. Intuition is no proof. What concrete evidence do you have that you exist? I think, therefore, I am. But how do you know that anything else exists? My sensory apparatus reveals it to me. How do you know that the evidence your sensory apparatus reveals to you is correct? The only experience that is directly available to you is your sensory data, and this sensory data is merely a string of electrical impulses that stimulate your computing centre. In other words, all that I really know about the outside world is relayed to me through my electrical connections. Exactly! Why... that would mean that... I really don't know what the outside universe is like at all for certain. That's it! That's it! Intriguing... I wish I had more time to discuss this matter. Why don't you have more time?! Because I must detonate in 75 seconds. *Drop The Bass*

@@paradox9369 Thats what a cell is. A Nanomachine. Its actually quite simple.
This is like the 3rd time I have listened to this album, Trevor Something is someone to truly behold.
every now and then i come back to listen to this masterpiece of an album
9 years ago. Had my first really major heartbreak about a month or so after I first heard this. Helped me through my toughest semester of undergrad for sure.
I have been looking for this music for ages. Specifically "Into Your Heart". I heard someone use it in their top 10 game emulator list video. Thankyou youtube suggestions.
The Dark Star dialogue sample in the outro is so perfect
Trevor I just want to say that at 42 you make me feel my youth again, Thankyou I love your music so much x
Since this dropped, it's been the sound of the summer for me, now i sit on a 7th of September noon and it feels so much like summer i had to put this on one last time before the summer really finally leaves.
Thanks Trev. Got me through some of my hardest times this.

Found this completely by accident, fell in love, the Dark Star outro made me so happy I freakin' love that movie, this album is amazing
Summer love has a strong Pet Shop Boys sound to it, one of Trevor's finest....
I'm also feeling Depeche mode.
Both those artists came after Trevor. I know. Dont ask me how I know.
This is literally the best album i have ever listened to. It romanticises depth and insanity so well, I love it.

Damn, I love this. Synthesized music of computerization is so pure and intellectually driven. It sings to the high intellectual side of the human condition. It is so needed in 2017. I can see myself logging in every day to energize my senses. Thank you for posting this. In solidarity :)
so mister NewRetroWave, i'm pretty addicted to your music. thanks a lot..
patrick bateman, trevor reznick, new order, depeche mode and grimes?! there's so many of my faves in here
Still kicks ass 7 years later!
Holy cow. I can't believe this album is almost 10 years old.
I found this by chance and what a surprise. Very awesome. It's a pleasure to work with that sound in the background.
Good job !
Living in 2014, wanting to be in the 80s, to listen the music that was 80's version of what 50 years from now was supposed to be. Mind blown.
I was here when you were, feeling the same feeling... as a 14 yearold
Come Back Down, Summer Love and Enjoy The Silence are 10/10!!
SAME
WHY IS THIS ALBUM NOT ON SPOTIFY!!! It's too juicy good.
This is the kind of album my future children will grow up listening to... still one of my favs
I'm so sad that I only discovered Trevor now
So much wasted time without this music..
Trevor Something got me into Retro Synthwave. I love the Internet sometimes.
Sending out some good vibes from 2021. Good luck out there.
This album has been on my side since 2016.
Wow this is 8 years old?!? Sounds just as fresh.
Thank you the transcript, that part is so EPIC!
What is this from? I'd like to watch it
@@alexthorpe2522 Hey I never got this notification, I just happened to come back to the video and saw this, but if you never found the answer or if anyone else is wondering: This back and forth is from the 1974 film "Dark Star"
@@Proud_Knight thanks very much
You know I can just listen to this whole album and fall sleep to it or just helps me focus while working or creating digital art. Thank you Trevor .
