I just want to say really quick - when Link and Marin perform Ballad together, Link is playing as Marin sang alone, but Marin instead harmonizes with him. neat little detail that I love.

Link's Awakening easily jumped to my top 3 Zelda games and might genuinely be one of my favourite games.

The only time I cried during a video game hasn't happened yet, unless you count this song and a remix of Rainbow Road 64.
Unrelated note: First time I cried during a fictional event was when Ahsoka left the Jedi order in Clone Wars (and when Fives died). The endings of Toy Story 3&4, Gravity Falls and Adventure Time.
