Tbh he was way more pain in the ass even compared to Fatalis, i remember my hands were shaking so bad after defeating him solo, he was especially nightmare when you fought him on co--op..
@irvancrocs1753 compared to fatalis.. I've killed ol fatty 10 out of the 200+ quests I've tried Alatreon is worse bc of the unreliable elem dps check but fatalis 3rd phase fire is BAD
A fun little ost fact, the name for Arch Tempered Velkhana's theme is called "Iceborne's End." This to me implies that these arch tempered flagship themes acknowledge that they are the end of their respective games/eras
Nothing will ever top the satisfaction I got from bagging this asshole for the first time. I was shaking, sweating, and my heart was beating so hard I thought it was gonna stop, but by *GOD*, did that victory feel earned. Nothing from Iceborne even came close to topping it, and I have my doubts that anything from the series' future ever will.
I had taken a break several months long and when I returned, I thought, hey, I'm familiar with Nergi and I'd liked the other AT fights, so why not face AT Nergigante right away. Five carts later I finally won, with five minutes left on the clock, so shaky and sweaty and pupils dilated with pure stress that I was afraid I'd have a stroke

Empty arena, my upgraded armor, my trusty weapon by my side, and the monster I have beaten looking for more punishment. This fight just screams foreboding.

Would’ve been really cool if Nergigante came in while fighting Gaismagorm and was like “THIS IS MY WORLD” and so you’d help Nergigante by using baliste and cannon fire to restrain Gaismagorm so Nergigante could do heavy damage

Damn after coming back from years of not playing mh I can say it feels great to be back in the hunt.
It's really good. Personally though, I think they should have saved this for Ruiner Nergigante. It would fit the variant more, thematically at least.

I miss fighting the Vroom-Vroom Nergigante. Or Nergigante on Ice if you prefer, fits better with Iceborne theme.

I mean the reason 2# for this title is because he was the last update for Monster Hunter: WORLD Before The whole of Iceborne. Hence, World's "end".
